Steve Coogan's (Alan) mum and dad are my grandparents closest friends. His dad sadly passed away. But they amd my grandparents lived around the corner from each other in Blackley Manchester. They were both Foster parents and Steve and his siblings were close friends with my mum and her sisters. I haven't had the chance to meet him myself, but he still invites my grandparents to his movie premieres, what is to me an amazing gesture.

Love your reactions dude. There's been so many times where I've thought 'Josh won't get that' or 'it's too dated / not edgy enough' and you've either pissed yourself laughing at the time or talked about it at the end. That's why we love you man...you're not just watching stuff, you're enjoying it and analysing the content for what it is. Keep doing what you're doing 👍

Reminds of my first love... She was 18, I was 20. Both virgins... We decided that on Valentines day we'd buy each other £50 worth of sexy stuff. She bought, amongst other things, some chocolate body paint... And just like with Alan it went every where... But it came with a really stiff brush and she decided to just paint my 'helmet'... And this is how naive we were I couldn't explain to her that she was hurting my Bell end by scraping off the choc with her teeth. It was partly naivety and partly experimentation. But mainly because her English wasn't great. lol. No I didn't travel anywhere, she was a Pakistani girl and only brought over when she was 12. I used to find her mixed up words cute. If I was going to the shop she'd say "can you buy me a Coke can" or "will you bring me back a crisp packet". 5 years were together. Then her family found her and shipped her back off to India where a deal had been done for her to marry a cousin in exchange for business shares... So fucking mad

Alan is loosely based on TV presenter Richard madeley. Richard once famously interviewed a lady whose husband had gone missing. The lady had brought her toddler with her and he was curiously wandering around the studio. Madeley said something along the lines of 'look at him, just like daddy, running off'...
Here is just a taste of madeley
