In as much due in part to today's tech innovations, the world has become smaller and more accessible, but there is a double edge to it making it just that much harder for many talented peeps out there to get noticed and compete for air time.
Take Eva Cassidy, she has the voice of an angel and is revered by many within the industry, sadly though her rise to stardom came after she died.
I trawl RUclips daily to find special amazing treats like Emeli and bookmark them so I can enjoy them over-and-over.
You know you are being noticed within the industry when other up-and-coming artists cover you songs, take for instance, Sam Bailey's X-Factor version of Emeli's Clown, I'de most certainly like to see a duet with both these Diva's.
