He did not use a midi editor for the 256 keys, he used a midi editor to edit each half (normal 128 key midi and the other half (C-1 = Ab9 C#-1 = A9 etc)) he than uses midiflip to flip the other half of the midi using the equation 128 + n, than he uses a midi merger to merge the two midis together and create a 256 key midi that is actually real
