Awesome. I served in the Marines from 1985 to 1990 at Camp Lejeune. My barracks was austere, rustic. Nothing special. But, this barracks is better than a 5 star hotel.
OMG Marines! These are fucking awesome! You cats deserve all this! So much different than the 80’s! I used to do pissed about Marine barracks compared to the others. You got it going on GI’s! I hope every base is like this. USMC 81-93
It's long past due! However, just like "old school", if Marines rough house and break stuff and exhibit proof that they, individually, are not worthy of living in such nice rooms, PLEASE make an example of them by making them live in an old school shelter-half out in the yard for a MONTH. Pack their stuff into a sea bag and let them learn the hard way to take care of their "house".
1982-1985 Marine. All I could think about while looking at these new barracks is field day and how much work I would have to do if we had that setup during my time.
Hopefully, times change with the new barracks. No more floor buffers, having to share one or two machines for an entire wing of 30 rooms and everyone needing to use it. (Waste of time!) There are easier ways to clean floors, bathrooms, common areas.
@@gladiatorking2.0envoyofthe95 He can snap if he needs to is all I'm saying. "Quietest Marine" is a false view of someone whose kindness you mistake for weakness. Very articulate guy but do not get things twisted.
So I like a star closet a multi-layer pyramid forwards and backwards and maybe just a offset difference for your straight clothes hanging rocks to slide around the back

I’m in the Yorktown barracks right now. There are fridges
You can see the refrigerators while Sergeant Major is in the room, it just doesn't get mentioned. You can see it at 5:30
