There has been many improvements. I would say that the limited model highlander benefited the best amongst all the other models.

Leased a 23 Highlander platinum, the fourth cylinder turbo is so amazingly powerful. You will not miss the V6. It’s Toyota extremely liability. The Carmel glaze interior is extremely elegant and I actually prefer this vehicle over my 21 Lexus GX.
Nothing can replace 3.5 L V6
I purchased a 23 highlander platinum, four cylinder turbo. Has more than enough power considering I came from a V-8 Lexus. The glaze caramel interior is the bomb.!!!
My 2017 has most of these features and gets 28 mpg. Also has lots of power.🍁🍁🍁🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I have a '21 Platinum V6. I wish there is a V6 for the '23! I love the new features added to the '23!
I wouldn't call the turbo 4 to be an upgrade over the V6 since it doesn't come with better fuel economy, but whatever.
Limited panoramic sunroof is an option and not standard for limited I believe
You’re Correct. It’s optional; but most people opt for the regular sunroof.

Thanks for this. Actually I ordered a platinum hybrid back in June but since the outside colour is silver, only black was available for the interior. I was sad that I couldn’t get the glazed caramel. Still I’m sure I will be happy with it whenever it comes in.
I would say the highlander is a 6 passenger comfortably. We are a family of 4 (a 1 year old and 6 year old) and it’s very comfortable for us. We might have another kid and I think that would put us at our limit for space. We have captain seats in the second row and they are massive so my 6 year old prefers the 3rd row BUT we are relatively short people. Both my husband and I are 5’6” and we don’t see our kids being taller than us 😂 I would NOT recommend this SUV for taller people (6’0 plus) our families with more than 3 kids

Toyota made a bad desicion adding the V4 Turbo instead of the V6 how long will the Turbo last cause dosent a Turbo produce more heat in the engine and makes the Engine wear quicker, what about the Towing it won't have enough power to be able to tow a Boat or a camper, and reliability issues won't it have those problems??
I hate the captain chairs!!! I lose a seat since I don’t use 3rd row. And you can see the mess in the back with that seat missing

Is there any way to make the sound when locking the vehicle (alarm) louder? It’s sooo dainty n quiet if I’m not lookin for the lights flash when I hit the fob lock button I wouldn’t know it was locked.
You mentioned that your suv is driven in normal mode most of the time. Do you get much better gas mileage when in eco mode or not ? I hope you and your family had a very nice Christmas, dispite the snow storm.

I signed purchase contract for canceled order highlander hybrid platinum model but orther dealer asked me to purchase Electronic rust protection equipment ($1800) and some useless accessories ($600).
Do I have to buy it together?
Is there any way to get the car without them?
I really want to know I have to buy them.

Very disappointed in Toyota. The Highlander is meant to be a people hauler on long road trips so bench seats should be standard and captain seat’s optional. So if I want bench seats I have to downgrade to the XLE with less features? I will be getting the new Honda Pilot instead.
The limited should be 8 passenger. Bad décision

Just heard from our Toyota dealer in Winnipeg regarding our new 2023 Highlander Hybrid and we were advised that our order is currently "Pending Fulfillment", I was hoping that you could explain this phase and what we should expect going forward.
Pending fulfillment means no update really. This is the status order go into once they are submitted to the factory. When was order placed? Hybrid highlanders are going to increase in production this year

I wish I could get a bench seat in the limited as well. Ordered the Hybrid version to get sometime late late ‘23. Would rather buy the tested 2.5 L with hybrid than the untested 2.4 turbo
The bench seat is an option for Limited (and I believe the XLE). I have a deposit on Limited with bench seat :)
I ordered a Highlander Limited in June and that time I asked to change the captain chairs for the bench. They told me that time it was possible based on the 2022 model. Is that still possible on the 2023 or I can have a surprise 🫢 when the vehicle arrives?

I wonder if the other years for this generation can be modified to get the folding mirrors. 🤔
Non USA markets had folding mirrors from the start. Ive read on the forums that a few have already retrofitted theirs with mirrors shipped from overseas.
Don't get the neo-turbo novelty these days. The same thing happened in the early 1980s and everyone gone burned with unreliability. We will see the turbo go away for the same reasons. Manufacturers are forced to make changes to keep their jobs it seems.

Limited does not come with panoramic roof. This is the Platinum trim.

My 22 Highlander XLE AWD, I am not happy with it 😒 The head lights are scratched and the head liner is cheap looking, it doesn't connect with the wind shield 😑
When are they going back to the boxy design? I don't like this design.
I would not want it unless it has a V-6 because turbocharger(s) need thicker oil to protect the bearings on the turbocharger and you typically need 93-octane premium gasoline ⛽️ which cost you more money when you consider 93-octane (premium unleaded gasoline ⛽️) cost 💲 about 20-cents higher than 87-regular unleaded gasoline ⛽️ or petrol ⛽️ for Europeans. 🙂

@@mitchmerle5774 Why do you say that turbochargers because normally knock sensors on a turbocharger(s) require 93-octane. 🙂
@@mitchmerle5774 Yes you are correct but, if you are towing a trailer it is recommended to use 93-octane. It is the same in my 09 Honda Pilot according to my owners manual it is recommended to use 93-octane if I am pulling a trailer. 🙂

I purchased a 23 Highlander platinum four-cylinder turbo. I was skeptical at first because I was driving a 21 Lexus GX V8… the power in the Highlander is amazing. I don’t feel like I lost any acceleration, Toyota, reliability, and resale
