Been weighing the pros and cons and considering getting one of these fins. I live in an area where mermaids are few and far between, so I've had no other means of trying one for myself and the curiosity is KILLING ME! I had been against them for a long time bcuz of the lack of propulsion. But to be fair, I think I just like doing tricks more than getting from point A to B at this stage in my mermaid life. So that makes this fin in particular that much more appealing. I have a luna and I LOVE THAT THING! The movement is great and I feel the size is perfect for someone as small as I am. But I'm not a big fan of it's coloration. I'd love to get the black fantasea fin which would match any leggings I paired it with and I personally feels is the color that shows off that beautiful sculpting best. Still hard to convince myself to spend the money on one tho. So I continue to wait, for now. (Mertailor has some gorgeous skins too and I know I'd be tempted to buy them if I got a fin which has it's own pros and cons) Aaaahh 😫
Kaitlyn Roberts I would say that out of the 3 the fantasea is most likely the luna, but still different enough where it is still a change. You may want to check out Courtney’s review of the fantasea fin if you haven’t already
I like how the original Fantasea Fin easy it is to do sideway turns, barrel rolls, and other agile moves that you need to do quick kicks with! I tried to do a tornado twist with the Fantasea Fin 3 toward the surface at MerMagicCon but struggled because of the width and weight of the fin. The original Fantasea Fin would be great for that tornado move.
i love that tail and i want it so bad!! do you think any of the water lily tailskins would fit a luna monofin? i can’t justify the price of the fantasea fins
The luna is a little stiffer and rolls through better, and therefore has marginally more power, but in terms of comfort both are so comfortable. The luna is also much lighter.
In size comparisons is it bigger than the mermaid linden monofin. I found a tail skin from mertailor that I'm thinking about buying from the fantasea line but Im hesitant on trying it on my linden. Otherwise love the videos u make.
So I have tried the linden in a fantasea fin tail, it does fit, however the linden is much longer, and narrower than the fantasea and so you get some long trailing ends, but you also get a lot of wrinkles across the fin. It would be swimable, but it would distort the pattern on the fluke, and create drag
Mermaid Alice Star the fantasea fin has a less expensive option for a tail skin than the whimsy which is $100, still comes out to $250 for the tail and fin, but less expensive than $500
Hi! ive been a fan and could you do a review for the mono fins that are great for rivers, oceans, etc. I'm looking for a mono fin that can fit in the fin fun tails and is reliable in different environments!
I personally adore the Linden (Mermaid Linden). It's got power and agility and doesn't hurt my ginormous feet. It totally fits in the Fin Fun skins. The Mahina seems to have a fair amount of power too. What do you think Justine? (well, check out her video!)
Good stuff! I personally prefer a stiffer more powerful fin (Linden, Mahina) but this looks awesome if you are going for a slow moving elegant aesthetic, or doing land shoots. I rather wish they'd put the logo on the bottom, then when on land, the fin would look extremely realistic. Great insights as usual. Augh, hope the pools and beaches are open soon...
Hello... I was wondering if there was anyway that I could contact you. I’m about to buy my second merskin and I want to do it right. I have questions up the wazoo fueled by anxiety 😂
Could you please please please do a monofin stabilizer video? I really need to make one for my tail, the neoprene is getting loose and my mom won't get me order anything online anymore bc the virus. Can you help?
I honestly would just use a tight band of fabric right over the tops of your feet just a rectangular piece as long as you need and 3-4 inches wide and preferably with some stretch. Sew into a loop, or ducked tape at this point not tight enough where you are stuck, just to add support. Neoprene foot pockets really don’t have a great shelf life. Once you can order again, I recommend vertuosew’s if you have a finfun or similar size www.etsy.com/listing/516894044/monofin-stabilizer? ref=shop_home_feat_1

I don’t need it I don’t need it I don’t need it.

It is so agile! The 3 is meant for slow meditation
As a mer who loves her tricks, this is good to know.
The Mermaid Seamstress I love the nzooms the Fantasea 3 gives.
My two favorite monofins of all time are the Finis Luna and the Mertailor Fantasy 1 😁💋💖
Hey, I was wondering can you do a video on the size between the linden and the fantasea 1? There are some mers that are wondering about it!
Bryan Yates yes, I have seen quite a few comments. I will probably have to wait until I am out out of lockdown though
Following, im curious too!
You can sing!!!! 💕💕💕
kathy Maree I can. A little known fact is that I was trained for 6 years as an opera and musical theater singer
so i was thinkin on gettin the monofin in black, but do you think it’ll show thru in lighter skins?
Not through the whimsy tails because the fabric is thick, but it may through a fantasea tail skin
The Mermaid Seamstress thank u!!
i love that tail and i want it so bad!! do you think any of the water lily tailskins would fit a luna monofin? i can’t justify the price of the fantasea fins
It is a very different shape. There will be a lot of wrinkles in the center, but you might be able to modify one.
I have both the fantasy fin and fantasy fin three. These are my favorite monofins because of how they flow in the water
How do you compare the fantasy to the luna?
The luna is a little stiffer and rolls through better, and therefore has marginally more power, but in terms of comfort both are so comfortable. The luna is also much lighter.
I love my Fantasea fin, and I’m so glad that you do too!
As an antisocial mermaid. I wanna be where the people aren’t.
I can relate
I so relate! 🤣💖

@@TheMermaidSewist thank you🙂
can a luna monofin fit inside the whimsy tail?
It doesn’t look very pretty. Lot of wrinkles and floppy bits
I want a fantasy fin so bad! They are so expensive with the tail skin
Mermaid Alice Star the fantasea fin has a less expensive option for a tail skin than the whimsy which is $100, still comes out to $250 for the tail and fin, but less expensive than $500
They also have tail slings for $70. They look like underwear for your monofin!! 😂
Jaimie Bowen I have seen those rip the fantasea monofins before
The Mermaid Seamstress Mertailor makes them to fit the fantasea fin original.
Jaimie Bowen I know, and even so I know of 4 people, who’s fantasea monofins ripped using those skins even when being careful with them

Does it affect the way you swim because of the flopyness
Lil Smd yes. I tend to do longer slower kicks rather than quick short kicks
I just bought this tail
Good stuff!

@@TheMermaidSewist thank you so much ❤ :)
Of course, I may do a video in the future, but right now is a busy time for me, and I do not own any neoprene pocket fins right now for demonstration
how much did you get for it?
Olayinka K Daramola $130 think, also without shipping too
