I'm from Kolkata India, I travelled to Bhutan twice, all I can say is Bhutanese people are very kind and polite, much more than the Japanese. Lot's of love to my all Bhutanese brothers and sisters you all have good soul and a beautiful country to live. I wish to visit your place once more
50 % of Bhutan's territory is covered by National Parks!!!! That is better than in Costa Rica!!!! I am very impressed!!!! This is an example to be followed by the whole World!!!! Greetings from Poland to The People of Bhutan!!! And great thanks to DW for making such an interesting doc!!!
Thank you, DW for showcasing Eastern and Southern Bhutan which are really overlooked compared to the rest of the country. As a Southern Bhutanese myself, this documentary really made me happy😊 Proud to be a Bhutanese 🇧🇹
Additionally, I couldn’t watch this program without lots of tissues for wiping out my tears! Appreciated with DW team for creating what a wonderful documentary.
Hi as I am from Bhutan especially from southern part of Bhutan, I want to thank you for capturing these profound beauty and reservoir of kindness of Bhutanese people on this beautiful project of yours. I know doctor tenzin and he said children are his ally, I’m one of his supported child that he saw goodness in me and now I’m here in New York all because of his support. Another one is sonam norzin , the world should know this man for his undying love for animal. Whenever i called him for any animal accidents, he always rescued them without any hesitation. I bow down to his undying compassion and I aspire to work like him one day. Kindest human I have ever met Even the shamanism in southern Bhutan is so unheard. I have witnessed so many things that people of modern world might feel it’s unrealistic but people in Bhutan they know they have seen something beyond human’s comprehension despite me being logic centric I’m crying a river because I related to every bits of this frame, places, people! I thank all the people in this production for holding such profound information about southern Bhutan. This documentary is not just a video you watch for 40minutes but an emotion and the sentiments of Bhutanese people. I thank you all for capturing this part of Bhutan Love, Puspa Ghalley
Sou budista e o que posso dizer é que, com a prática e o passar dos anos, a gente vai tendo um amor e compaixão pelos animais cada vez maior! E eles por nós.❤🙏

Every native person who lives in Bhutan has adore their lives. It‘s a truly beautiful heart they have resonated with a scenic landscape. Hope to visit there near my future and touch with their genuineness.
Some additional context here. The people in the documentary can speak multiple langauge. For example the volunter from Jangsa speaks Dzongkha, English and Nepali. While the women in the village speaks Dzongkha, Tsangla and Kuertoep.
We were just there in October. Beautiful country, beautiful people. Can’t wait to come back 🙏 Special thanks to the Customs and Immigration at Paro Airport who made the paperwork process super fast and easy. Love the hospitality 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for sharing this. As a resident here in Bhutan I am about to begin my wonder holiday through early March. I would love to visit/provide assistance during this time if possible. ❤
I've learned a lot about Bhutan. I'm from the Philippines and the people in Bhutan have the same character as that of the Filipinos though in our country most are Catholics. I am also fascinated that technology reaches the mountains of Bhutan. Thank you for the video, DW! 🎉
Some people may say democracy and capitalism is the solution for everything, but few of us still prefer to live the way they do. Less greed or tension surrounded by loved ones who really cry and smile with you ❤
Buthan has democracy, they choose the parliament. The former king decided this because he said that it's not a good idea to leave a country in the hands of one person.
@ there’s nothing wrong with saying anything like that. Were they not educated? Even in first world country, dental professionals do educate people. There’s nothing to be ashamed of that. Your definition of education is too subjective.
I think Bhutanese also don’t always know how fortunate they are Since the economy started opening up, its GDP per capita has grown to USD3,100 plus per annum - at least pre Covid. This compares extremely favourably to the GDP per capita in Bangladesh (~ USD2000) or India ( ~usd 2700) or Pakistan (~usd1500). This is in part due to the relatively low corruption in Bhutan. And the current leaders who seem to care about their people. Education and healthcare are free. English is the medium of instruction allowing Bhutanese to instantly access the global economy. There are of course great challenges for Bhutan. I’m hopeful that the Gelephu Mindfulness City will do well and allow Bhutan to drawn their young people who have migrated to Australia and elsewhere back. For a small nation and unique culture, this is existential.
They complain of no electricity, but now that they have it, instead of sitting together at night as a family bonding, they will eventually all disconnect being more interested in their phones than they are each other. Ask me how i know, its how we all live now in america. I would trade my life here for the lives of these people any day.
This video is informative. You all should do one on brunei, Galapagos islands, Socotra, Madagascar, Seychelles, Costa Rica These are some biodiverse regions
Yeah it would be great documentary exposing the anti Government Nepalis who tried to threaten the independence of Bhutan. Their barbaric actions are the consequences of eviction. We have more than 30% Nepali speaking Bhutanese today that values our true identity and refused to follow Maoist Tek Nath Rizal who is currently in prison for refugee scam in Nepal. Thank you
Yeah, that would make an interesting documentary too! When is Bhutan planning to create it? If not, I’ll have to rely on the stories shared by Nepali ethnic Bhutanese on RUclips and other platforms.

Bhutan do not welcome tourists, they fear their natural harmony will get ruined. So facilities for tourists are scarce
