- Dechen, a young Tibetan woman, has revived the ancient art of yak wool weaving in Tibet. This soft, rare wool, once reserved for lamas and nobles, is now sought after by luxury brands. Her workshop, located in the remote Zorge Rotoma region, employs 80 people and preserves traditional spinning techniques.

I am a huge fan of Slice Travel and NorLha. As a Tibetan from that region, it is both refreshing and hopeful to see the deep love and commitment shown by Tibetan people like Dechen la, especially at a time when so much of our existence is under threat. I know how difficult it is to do anything in Tibet, and I want to express my gratitude for how beautifully you represent our people. Your work is empowering and authentic, capturing the reality of Tibetan life even amidst the challenges of telling our story. Much respect to Slice Travel for mastering the art of storytelling even in the context of one of the most complex and restricted places on earth. #MADEINTIBET
May the Dreams and Aspiration of Tibetans come True ✨️
Yak down is divine! I've been privileged to be able to get some to spin myself and knit into a very cozy scarf. So happy to see this project bringing the community together!
Thank you for this wonderful video of a way of life and a tradition that is so important in so many ways. I have done spinning, weaving and knitting with sheep fibre but yak fibre is something I just dream of.
Excellent video. A wonderful determined woman breathing new life into something that might just have disappeared. What a wonderful ethical course this took, so much to admire and be inspired by. Thank you for sharing.
Sister...can you please make video for Tibetan coral .....how it's was harvested ...and local market selling price...and coral ornaments making.....and how coral beats are connected with people culture and traditions

Thank you so much !!
Dear Slice. Lovely video. Could you edit/correct the RUclips transcription? It's quite simple to do and would greatly assist folk like me who are a bit hard-of-hearing and struggle with accents. In the transcript, people's names are not transcribed at all well (as you would imagine).
Hello thank you for your advice we will do better next time !

When tge English voiceover is being done, the native language needs to be much lower...it is very difficult to gear what the English speaker is saying!
Perhaps, my sister is right, that we have a lineage of Ginghes Khan!
