I’ve know The Bod since elementary school. We lived together, worked together, and skated everything. His OG nickname was lil Bob b/c he use to wear oakleys like Bob B. Then, one of our older homies (Link) started calling him Peabody because he looked like character from Mr. Peabody and Sherman.
Ryan’s the most core person I got to grow up with, always there to push you and down for skate missions no matter what.
One of the most under rated dudes of all time, such good style

These people were so lucky to live out these moments that u know r dope in the moment but u have no idea how iconic some moments will truly be.. I'm hyped they got to document even just some of it. I appreciate that thrasher has stayed around and continued to be such an important aspect of skateboarding 🤘🏻

I helped at bobs one time and body was there I saw him the next month in cph. I knew they were doing an open tour and the next stop was in Berlin. I was like hey I was just at bobs last month helping crazy to see you again. Chatted for a bit then was like I’m heading to Berlin so I’ll see y’all when you get there. Peabody said “doubt it” and walked away. I later ended up in Vienna and told that story. Abunch of people out there now say “doubt it”.

I remember Jake selling me a Schmitt Stixx "Tarampula" skateboard with Indys and lime green Bones of some sort in 1986 at a tiny little skate shop in the Haight close to the old bowling alley my mind is foggy on details however I skated that board like a madman 😊

@@hanskloss1331 No Bean Town is Boston. Boston is where Jake got started. I first met him when he was about 18 working the front desk of Zero Gravity skatepark. He sold me a Logan Earth Ski deck. I will never forget his enthusiasm so I looked up to him as a young Gromit.
@@joewhite4970 interesting I never knew that thanks I myself had a Logan Bob Biniak 1st generation ply board with Tracker trucks and Road Rider wheels FYI the bearings in those wheels had GMN on the shield and by far were THE best rolling bearings I've ever owned wish I had some new ones ✌️

Got blacked out with Ryan at skate rock Detroit then broke my nose during grindlines set in the pit epic night
He couldn’t deny you cause he couldn’t deny Andy Roy who is and should be and should have been for years the face of thrasher and Andy was the guy Jake always wished he was and Phelps was always great at picking out those who had the eye in the moment to just press flash with a sequence and know they had it day in and day out.
Did it a couple times for some of my friends that had filmers and brothers that where Filmers and they would trip out how I could read body language like that but I am deaf in one ear so it speaks ALOT louder to me versus others.
Burnside is great too, but I need a deathwish skateboard

What you see is authentic _ these dudes go hard and live life on the fringe. Skate hard/party harder... last several years has been tough with the passing of Monk, Phelps,Grosso, Q-Man etc...
