Hi Randy, I live in a small community on the east coast of Canada. A friend has this machine and could NOT get the bobbin case out to clean the bobbin area. We google searched it forever (RUclips also of course!) and could not find anyone with the same issue. She ended up bringing it to the dealer to see what’s up and was told that the bobbin in this machine is too hard to get out and was encouraged to only let the dealer repair tech take it out. This seems a bit ridiculous to me - surely she shouldn’t have to bring it to the dealer (AND PAY) every time she wants to clean out the lint?? Have you heard of this issue on this machine? Thanks so much for your reply in advance, a small part of me feels she is being led astray by this particular dealer …..
I don’t know of any particular difficulty with the bobbin case removal in this machine. Pop off the needle plate. Lift up and remove the bobbin case retainer. Lift out the bobbin case. To reassemble, reverse the process. It’s always advisable to make sure that your needle is at its highest position, which will also get the feed dogs at their highest position and out of the way.
Check that. Disregard prior info. I was thinking of a different machine. This one has the screw fasteners that hold the needle plate in place. It has a position bracket that varies from some other machines. It may require a bit more finesse to remove the bobbin case, but it’s certainly doable and not mysterious. The key of course is to make sure your needle and feeders are at their highest position. No prying, just finesse.
@@randyyoursewingmachineman9954 thanks so much! I really appreciate your reply and I’ll pass the info on! I don’t think we had the feed at it’s highest position - fingers crossed!
Great video ! Thank you.
