  • I'm having fun with segmentation in this video. I am a self taught woodworker and learn as I go. I just decided that maybe I can inspire someone out there to give it a try too.

    I would like to learn.
    What model saw do you use to cut the wood please?

    • @SusanLoar

      I scrolled this on a Dewalt 788. I now have a Setco 24 inch scroll saw. You can really do it on any scroll, saw as long as you keep it at 90°. Thanks for watching.

    Thank you. Great video. Lots of helpful tips. I will give it a try. What glue do you use to hold the pattern on the masking tape? Thanks again.

    • @SusanLoar
      @SusanLoar  3 года назад

      You can use glue sticks or temporary adhesive spray or 3m’/gorilla glue permanent. Any will work just fine.

    Hi , really love to watch it, I buy scroll saw as well , can u share layout

    • @SusanLoar
      @SusanLoar  2 года назад

      I wish that I could, but it is not my pattern. There are copyright laws. I do suggest you look through children’s coloring books. They have some really good patterns to follow. Thanks for watching.

    Can I ask? What type of double stick tape do you use?

    • @SusanLoar
      @SusanLoar  Год назад +1

      My double stick tape is so old that the label is no longer on it. I do know that I got it from Menards and it is specifically for carpeting. Make sure whatever brand you buy, that it is thin enough that it will not create a problem with your wood, lying flat.

      @@brookemaples8411 I used an old quilting book that I had hanging around the house. You could look on public domain pictures online for a similar pattern.

    Where do you get your wood?

    • @SusanLoar
      @SusanLoar  2 года назад +2

      I get rough cut lumber from a town close to me in Ohio and process them down to a quarter of an inch with my tools. Baltic birch plywood I get from Woodcraft. .
