Thank-you for the walk thru found it easy to understand however something that I would like to comment on is would be awesome for future things like this is if could leave a copy of the commands in the discruption for easy cut and past :)
Hey @BTNHD, Whenever I try to follow this, when I connect winSCP says: Cannot initialize SFTP protocol. Is the host running an SFTP server? Am I missing something easy here?
How are you logging into your SFTP? domain? or local account on the server? I've only seen that error once and switching the protocol in winSCP to SCP worked.
What type of of SFTP services are you using? Windows? Filezilla?
Very handy mate, nice clear explanation and worked like a charm. Used this to setup my vCentre backups.

Excellent video, exactly what I needed. Thanks Bernardo!
Thanks.. if you implement this solution make sure to do it within your DMZ 🤓
Thanks for de video. Easy to follow and understand. Well Done
Thanks buddy. Worked like a charm!
Try connecting to it with an actual ssh client. You'll be able to browse your entire server.
Thank u Boss 😁
Works perfect!
Hi, Thanks for the video
Is there a way to check the detailed SFTP logs(filename, time, directory etc.) for the file transfers on Windows server
It would be so nice if you could also drop all the commands you used in the Description
Thank you for this🥰
great video but how do i prevent users from deleting files in the FTP root directory ?
Why don't you just install open ssh from optional features ?
You're not disabling ssh terminal connections anywhere. People can log on with ssh and just browse the server outside of the chroot folder.
Would've been helpful if the commands were posted in the description...
