omg I came across No Particular hours casually with my mom YEARS ago and I’ve been subscribed to this channel for 3 years - I overlooked this video and didn’t realize you’ve covered that place already!! Super cool!
Hello From Newfoundland Canada. Walked past the Little Red Lighthouse three years ago doing the The Great Saunter. That day I felt like a New Yorker. Great videos thank you. I will be back New York.
I like the Sorry We're Open sign. I saw that years ago on a comedy video and always thought it was just a joke. I never knew a sign like that actually existed. Pretty cool stuff in there. Looks like a cross between an antique shop and a year round garage sale.
Love the subway tunnel with graffiti, but wouldn't want to be alone in that tunnel late at night or maybe ever. Really love you showing us these hidden gems.
I have been watching your videos all week!! Is the MoSA open to the public? I forget which video I saw now where you mentioned that place but I’d love to see it in my first trip to NY this weekend!
They were filming the movie version of “In the heights” in that tunnel last year. I know cause I used to live there and needed to access that tunnel and made my trip home very inconvenient
The little red lighthouse has been on my list for a while I've been waiting for good warm weather as I plan to ride my e-bike over the gwb to the lighthouse.
Absolutely superrrrb . . . THIS is the stuff people need to know more about. LUVED it all, but am gaga for all things street art and eclectic so very much appreciate those features. Thank you for doing something totally different.
The Garage Sale! Definitely putting that on the list. Visited the Shinran statue a couple years ago when I trekked Riverside to visit other memorials :D I can't wait to visit the City again

If you’re a marathoner looking for a different great 20 mile long run, the Hudson River path from lower Manhattan to the Little Red Lighthouse and back is great. Completely flat with great river views and non stop runners, walkers and bike riders.
Perhaps a little insight on the AT&T building as I worked for AT&T in the early 90s and this building was legendary. Basically it housed switches for long distance phone calls. I am sure that has been upgraded now for cellular service but that was what it was known for back then.
Lighthouse and tunnel high up on my list, when visiting again with my husband, he loves long walks. If I have two hours to spare, will definitely browse in the garage sale or get me my feathers;-)
on my next visit, i am going to check out hiroshima statue and the retro shop. i would love to see the lighttower but i am not sure if its worth to go there only for the tower? amazing video jon!
That Japanese video game is actually a cartridge for the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System, the Famicom(short for Family Computer.)
That train station Tunnel although beautiful, makes me think of the tunnel in Harry Potter which the dementors suck all the happiness out of Harry and Duddley.
I lived in NY for 10 years and never did anything touristy, so now every time I go back I indulge, Ive had the pleasure of being able to take 2 of my kids 2 years in a row back for the Thanksgiving Day Parade and your video on the wooden escalater in Macy's came in very handy when we found it!! You should do a video on how to get a taxi to the DUMBO, you'd be shocked at how many cab rides either wont or dont know how to take you there. Love your video's!
The only one I we don't have the least bit of interest in seeing is the subway tunnel. Having seen that so called art defacing the entire subway system I think this is not the best choice.
The end of all things is near. Turn away from your sins! The kingdom of heaven has come near. So be watchful and control yourselves. Then you may pray. Most of all, love one another deeply. Love erases many sins by forgiving them. Love that comes from the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. If today you hear His voice harden not your hearts. Now is the time to be saved!
Love this!! I'm so jealous that you got to go in that first shop! I was drooling😍 Lol that's definitely on my list of places to see! I was wondering, how many years have you lived in NYC? I find it so fascinating that you still find things/places/restaurants that you never even knew about or have seen... it's seriously so cool. Also I love the fact that every video you come out with like this, you keep finding more things we've never heard about etc. I love it. This is why you're one of my favorite youtubers😊👏 Good work Jon!
I went to new york when I was like 11 and while it was fun I thought why would anyone wanna live here and I've thought that all the way up until last week. Now I really wanna visit again and maybe even live there. Your vids are definitely making me save up in order to visit once the world has regained some form of normalcy.
Another stellar video, thank you!! I really want to visit the Little Red Lighthouse and the graffiti tunnel....truthfully I put them all on my Google map.
This is so interesting! Gave thumbs up! Would like to go to store The little red lighthouse is part of the Great Saunter walk Marilyn native from Murray Hill

Hello From Newfoundland Canada. Walked past the Little Red Lighthouse three years ago doing the The Great Saunter. That day I felt like a New Yorker. Great videos thank you. I will be back New York.
want me to go for you ? lol i live in nyc
The little red lighthouse is so dope & the AT&T Long Lines Building reminds me of the ComEd Substation building in Chicago
I like the Sorry We're Open sign. I saw that years ago on a comedy video and always thought it was just a joke. I never knew a sign like that actually existed. Pretty cool stuff in there. Looks like a cross between an antique shop and a year round garage sale.
The store. Glad to see places like that are still in NYC.
I’d got something from you before skynet concept, thanks a lot you’re really good
Yes I want to see and experience it all when we get moved there Thanks Jon 🗽✌️👏
Thanks for the tour. That was fascinating.
Am planning for a trip in 2022 and came across your channel which I truly appreciate! Thanks so much for the great content and tips.
Your 7 Subway thumbnail special effects was pretty cool. What editing program does wonders like that Mr. Barr? :)
The 190 tunnel used to be terrifying back in the day.
@Azael Waaaaarrriiiooorrrrsss... come out and pul-laaaayyyyyyyyyy!!!
The store , the lighthouse and the statue . Great adventure ideas to visit . Thank you . Love the channel!!!
Very colorful tunnel! IG worthy! That store looked great as well. Shout out to Ben! The videography in this video is superb!

Love the subway tunnel with graffiti, but wouldn't want to be alone in that tunnel late at night or maybe ever. Really love you showing us these hidden gems.

Not surprised at all.
i love stores like that
The little red lighthouse has been on my list for a while I've been waiting for good warm weather as I plan to ride my e-bike over the gwb to the lighthouse.
Very cool! My first time with the little red lighthouse was when I did the Great Saunter around Manhattan! Probably my favorite for a scenic snack!
Absolutely superrrrb . . . THIS is the stuff people need to know more about.
LUVED it all, but am gaga for all things street art and eclectic so very much

Yes I’ve done the done bike ride it’s epic
@@HereBeBarr don’t you wish that path went completely around Manhattan ?
Saw the lighthouse last year whilst on a Circle Line Tour. Quite fascinating, especially up near the big C 👍
My instincts are to check out both the lighthouse and the colorful subway station!
Just fyi, if you go to the graffiti tunnel on 181st theres alot of cool bars on the exit side on Broadway. Cool vibes.

In the alleyway there's adhd on the wall

I used to have to walk through the 191st st tunnel everyday. Happy I no longer do it.
I wish 5pointz got this attention a few years ago before it was destroyed.

i would love to see the lighttower but i am not sure if its worth to go there only for the tower?

Hi John. How is the crime now? I know it spiked over the summer has it come down again? Thanks. Sean
I haven't been monitoring it to be honest. But I don't think it's spiking.
We have alleys in Denver. The city is so clean, but the alleys are really gross.
I'd love to visit the lighthouse at the George Washington bridge and that subway station looks amazing with all the graffiti.
the building is inhibited by machines?!? LOL. I think you mean inhabited. Big difference!
That Japanese video game is actually a cartridge for the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System, the Famicom(short for Family Computer.)
Ahh
love the graffiti tunnel. an episode on graffiti in the city would be great.
That train station Tunnel although beautiful, makes me think of the tunnel in Harry Potter which the dementors suck all the happiness out of Harry and Duddley.
