i dont work in this field, but last year i bought a cheap AC that turned out to use R290. now that im getting ready to use it again this summer, i decided to order one of these, just so i can easily check if there's ever a leak so i dont have to worry about it. im so glad about your review testing with r290, it isnt specifically mentioned on any product page of any leak testers it always only says propane, but knowing now that it also works with the odorless r290, i'm very happy with my order. thank you so much

I am a food service tech myself. There are 3 of us tech’s in the area that have to share 1 detector, and you never know when you’re going to a 290 system. We are seeing them everywhere now, reach-ins, prep tables, beer coolers, display cases.
Oddly, most of the r290 leaks that I have found have been in the condensing units. But I hate having to just soak everything down with bubbles. Messy clean up.
Anyway, we’ll keep working. You keep filming and I’ll keep watching. 👍
