Two weeks is the recommended reapplication time, if necessary. I just put that down in my yard today. I've had pretty good luck with it, and only do it every few years when it's out of control and needs to be dealt with.
Thanks for sharing this video with the progression. I have the same situation in my backyard. When do you seed the area? Waited until the Fall and how did that work out? Did you have to rip out what was dead already or did you simply just sprinkle in seed?
I did seed in the fall. Most of the weeds you kill will shrivel up and disappear by the time you plant. It's best to pick a good week in the fall when it will be in the 60's or so and some rain in the forecast. I actually seeded again in the spring because I still had some bare spots. Spring seedings have a harder time surviving the heat of summer. And the more seed you can work down in to the soil, the better. If you leave it on the surface, most will not germinate. This is the best tool I have found for the job at an affordable price over the years: ruclips.net/video/NZM-PQpHptk/видео.html
Would have been much easier with a premixed bottle hose end sprayer with weed killer.Used for the first time this year and work good and very easy to apply and they typically run 8-20 bucks and cover 5000 sq.ft. Used the Bio Advanced and Spectricide and they destoyed dandelions quick , did good on clover but real heavy clover may need to reapply 2 weeks later.
Not really. Most of it takes a couple weeks to work. What I have found to be most effective that last couple years is using a product like this but being better about jumping on it hard BEFORE it gets this bad. When it's just starting in little patches its much easier to knock out!
This stuff is for the harder to kill weeds. Now, though, this version is not readily available in some areas and Amazon said “ cannot be shipped to your location”. That means in some areas, you’re left with ineffective “ stuff”!
It's a never ending battle. I just treated mine again a few days ago and this time added a surfactant to help it stick to weed leaves. We'll see if it performs better this way. It says to only apply it twice a year.
@@fixitFlip yeah i feel like it's impossible to kill them all because of the underground stems. i think the only thing that might work is if we use chemicals but also get some sort of a scarifying rake to cut the stems and pull them out.
@@tau_tv Yeah they are relentless, that's for sure. I will say that after just a few days, I feel like this product is working better with the added surfactant.
No. Just the opposite. Avoid manual watering or expected rain for at least 6 hours. The chemicals need time to get absorbed. Watering prematurely will dilute and diminish effectiveness
Do not know what went wrong these hot temps in NY is causing crab grass to invade my whole lawn. Now i have to make a choice if i want a white lawn or green.
Crabgrass loves blazing hot sun. The part of my yard that gets the most direct heat seems to explode with crab grass every year no matter what I do. I’ve put down 2 different preventers this year and I still have some crabgrass
@@Supanova70 This year I did Scott's Turfbuilder Triple Action "Built for Seeding" because I planted some grass in the Spring. Then a month later I put down Scott's Triple Action. They both helped, but not good enough for my liking. Next spring I am putting down Tenacity!!
Thank you for video! I have a small lawn and have used this 2x this year and still have a significant Amount of clover with the white flowers, my lawn has been looking horrible (in my opinion) . Can I spot treat lawn even after treating it twice this summer?? It’s been over a month since last treatment. Thanks 😊
Yes, you can definitely spot treat! I've been hitting some of my clover multiple times this year! The only thing you want to be careful of is over spraying the actual grass if the lawn is stressed at all (dormant and/or needs water). Add a little baby shampoo to help it stick to the leaves and its more effective!
@@fixitFlip agreed! I have sprayed 3x and I feel like some of my grass is a little stressed right now. It was only spot treat but still! Or it could also be the very hot weather we are having in Alberta right now. Unsure!
I use this Compare-N-Save 75324 Herbicide, 1-gallon for under $20 bucks. Never water it nor fertilizes it either. i mow like once a month. every one else is mowing 2 times a week. Trying to get there yard as nice as mine
@@fixitFlip i would recommend it ! mix both seeds up plant or like i did ~wait until it rains and hand cast the seed on the ground . they really do good under trees to get it stating off, as it make runners, can cut them and hand plant em~ best 2 grasses i ever had man there freeze, heat, drought, and disease resistant Not like carpet grass that get grub worms and kills them out either
You can do it yourself with better results and a fraction of the cost. Just need to use a little smarts and some time outdoors in the fresh air. Pride in ownership and a job well done is very satisfying. All my neighbor pay a lawn service and my yard puts there’s to shame
Thanks for actually showing two week period…most other videos didn’t show love term.
No problem. Try to do things the right way.

I've done it both ways. My yard is pretty big so I prefer to not drag the hose around through it.
Should always use a surfactant. Specially with broadleaf applications vs grassy weeds.
Also, they suggest a follow up application
For sure. I used it recently and added baby shampoo. It worked better. The purpose of the video was to test what it would do by itself.
@@fixitFlip Thanks for the Video. May I know if all baby shampoo works or just specific brands?
Thank you!

Can you mow it after you applied the weed killer , 1 or 2 days later ... ?
According to the company you should wait 1-2 days to mow, but I would probably wait a day or 2 longer than that just to be safe.

Hmmm. That's definitely unfortunate.
Thanks for the video, Will the root got killed as well?
No problem and yes it will!
does it kill the roots? or did it come back the next season?
It did kill the roots. It has taken a couple seasons but my yard is virtually clover free now.
I’m having the similar issue with the clover getting out of hand. What do you recommend I do after the clover dying off?
A good pre-emergent in the spring followed by spot spraying of any pesky spots.
Can use this to kill weeds around junipers?
Never tried it personally but I don't think so. Probably best to hand pull.
did you ever get yoru clover under control by doing this? if so , how many more apps? did you do it every month or something?

With that much clover, why not use a wipeout and then reseed? Thank you.

You mean without planting seed? It will come out of dormancy from last year but not in spots where there was no grass before.
