I used the above mentioned product and it’s the only product I will use from now on to manage weeds on my lawn.

Mix one cup of vinegar with a cup of water and one drop of dish soap. Shake it up and spray it onto any patches of clover. The vinegar will dry out the clover's leaves, and the dish soap will make sure it sticks. You may need to spray over a series of weeks to kill off the clover completely.
I've had very good luck with this product. I just use the gallon container it comes in with the battery sprayer. I spot treat only and had to reapply in some areas. I have an acre and it was a mess but this worked in just a few days. I'm almost done with my second gallon. . I'll never use granulars again. I always burn areas.

When my wife & I weed clover, we have a running contest for the longest “chains.” We get them as long as 12”, sometimes possibly longer. I can’t keep up with it manually so I have begun spraying it. Tenacity kills maybe half of it and it’s very slow, so will try the Ortho product next spray.

What active ingredient would you recommend for grassy weeds? I have a lot invasive grass, sedge, clumping fescue, and a lot of undesirable grasses. Tried 2-4D and two applications later the grass is still fine, but it did a good job on dandelions and thistle at least.
Most grassy weeds require a non-selective (like roundup) meaning you will kill existing grass and the weed grass. That's unfortunate but kind of the reality. Sedge I would look up a product called Sedgehammer. Clumping fescue requires digging it out or roundup. I've had some of these same issues so I know it's a pain.
Ryan, what’s the most cost effective way to transition my yard to 100% of a particular type of grass? I live in MD and have mainly fescue but there is this very broad-leafed, lighter green grass scattered throughout. I am unsure of what that is and how to safely get rid of it. Also, is there a better forum of yours for this topic of conversation?
Depends on how much is mixed in whether or not you will ever successfully get rid of all of it for the grass you actually want. Send me an email theryanknorr@gmail.com
I applied Scott's turf builder with weed and crabgrass killer in early April (Kentucky). I have some clover that is still going strong. Is it ok to spot spray this now? I know that the bag said not to reapply the 2-4D for at least 4 months.
I have some clovers on my lawn. After two treatments with Tenacity, they are still there. Do you think Ortho is better than Ortho product? I am debating to do another round Tenacity or to buy a bottle of the Ortho you showed. Thanks for your advice!
youtube aficionado Stop, stop killing the clover folks. Keep it. It takes nitrogen from the air (air is 79% nitrogen) and adds it to the soil. Bees love the flowers, make honey from it and they pollinate fruit trees. An added benefit is clover needs very little mowing. Win all around. The golf course lawn is bad for our environment when it takes tons of herbicides that kill beneficial insects snd poisons our waterways.
Give Trimec/Acreage Pro from Gordon's a try. It takes a bit to work (~10 days) but when it does you're not left with any dead or dying weeds. They literally disintegrate which is great for broadleaf which look awful when you've got a bunch of droopy brown, dead weeds left.
Hi Ryan. Thanks for all you do. I've searched online but cannot find anything about mixing 2 different weed be gon products. Can I mix Weed B Gon plus Crabgrass Control with Weed B Gon CCO in the same Gallon sprayer? If so, any idea on ratio?
Great video as usual but I will say that that exact ortho WBG hasn’t worked for any of the violet I have. It wilts the clover just enough but the violet prevails. Heard the only thing for violet is Turf-Lon.
Is there any reason that a surfactant cannot or should not be added and used on other weeds such as dandelions? I would like to use one herbicide mixture for everything and not have to mix up a separate batch just for clover. I have subscribed to your channel and think that your videos are great. You keep things simple and don't get overly technical. I live in north central Illinois and your videos seem geared towards the type of weather that I have. Good job on all of your videos IMO.
Ryan, can I roll with this product in my 4 gal backpack sprayer for my yard? 13,000 sq/ft. or would you recommend a different approach? I have a ton of clover in my back yard which is about 9k of those sq/ft.
Hi Ryan. I have a centipede lawn which is getting full of lespedeza. Do you know if the product you're using will work on it? I plan to go to war this Fall and continue as long as it takes until it's gone.
What is the time frame from clover to total death with this product Also what does it look like as it dies? Does it and the surrounding area change to another colour or does the clover just slouch and die? When should I expect to see if it did anything I sprayed my backyard yesterday and I’ve followed the label and mixed .5 with half a gallon... this is the first time I’ve done this it seems like such a small amount of product
Exact timeframe I'm not sure of. It will get sort of brown looking and also curl up. It usually takes much more than a day to really see the results so give it a bit more time.
I used 19-0-6 (with pre emergent & lockup) on April 9th & 0-0-7 lockup on May 4th (both granular) but I still have some patches of clover ... it’s June 6th today, when can I try the Ortho Clover without burning the clover affected areas?
So may ask where you are located I'm from northern Indiana what are the best temps to spray at I went to lawn company in bluffton Indiana and found that t zone you talk about
Hey thanks so much for the videos I’ve seen most of your videos and they are all good! My question is I want to get rid of clover but FOUR WEEKS AGO I heavily overseeded a one year old lawn with many bare spots and I want to get rid of the clover but I still have a lot of new sprouts and some seeds that still haven’t sprouted is they’re anything I can use on four week old seed that’s an inch or two tall?
I have EXACTLY the same situation Catherine!! Some seeds haven’t even sprouted yet. I certainly don’t want to kill my new grass shoots that took me ages to spread the seed and get to grow!! No one has answered our very important question yet???
What do you think of tenacity for clover? I’ve used tenacity plus surfactant 2-3 times and I thought it was reigning it in, but hasn’t fully knocked it back - should I use a different product, more tenacity, more frequent tenacity?
Hey Ryan! Moved into a new house and the front yard is thick but I believe its at least 50% quack grass. Front yard is 4500 sqft...should I kill the entire yard and reseed? Location is NY
If it were me I would start over...fall would be the absolute best time but since we're almost through that already you could look at spring or next fall and get a plan going
Have you ever used Crossbow for clover and other broadleaf? Its a Southern Ag product. I found it works really great on broadleaf varieties (much better than Ortho or Roundup which usually take multiple applications) but I've never used it on CC.
Hi Ryan, enjoy your videos. I live in Northern Va, and have a lot of clover in our yard. When can I over seed after spraying? Is there an anti-clover product that allows faster seeding? A Scott product I viewed said need to wait about 6 weeks. Thanks
I want to check if this is safe to do. Can I safely mix Ortho chemicals like this one plus the other weed killer if I have a variety of weeds in my yard?
Should I spray and try to kill all clover with this product or can I overseed and just use tenacity. I just don't know if tenacity I better den this product to kill clover

Depends on how much is mixed in whether or not you will ever successfully get rid of all of it for the grass you actually want. Send me an email theryanknorr@gmail.com
Hi Ryan, would combination like this be safe if it's close to an above ground vegetable garden?
Hi Ryan, any idea what I could use to spot spray some curly doc that is popping up in my back yard?
I planted seed it’s been about 3 weeks now, grass is sprouting an growing. Is it to early to spray the yard/new seed with a weed killer?
I applied Scott's turf builder with weed and crabgrass killer in early April (Kentucky). I have some clover that is still going strong. Is it ok to spot spray this now? I know that the bag said not to reapply the 2-4D for at least 4 months.
I have some clovers on my lawn. After two treatments with Tenacity, they are still there. Do you think Ortho is better than Ortho product? I am debating to do another round Tenacity or to buy a bottle of the Ortho you showed. Thanks for your advice!
Triclopyr tends to work better on clover from my experience. Or mix that and tenacity together
hey man my yard is half covered with clover 🍀 do u think its a good idea to spray all the clover in my yard?
youtube aficionado
Stop, stop killing the clover folks.
@@Mote78 So just spray a little at a time?
Thanks dude! Nice lawn!
Great video, this helps a lot because I have clover in my yard 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Give Trimec/Acreage Pro from Gordon's a try. It takes a bit to work (~10 days) but when it does you're not left with any dead or dying weeds. They literally disintegrate which is great for broadleaf which look awful when you've got a bunch of droopy brown, dead weeds left.
I'll keep that one in mind. Thanks!
Hi Ryan. Thanks for all you do. I've searched online but cannot find anything about mixing 2 different weed be gon products. Can I mix Weed B Gon plus Crabgrass Control with Weed B Gon CCO in the same Gallon sprayer? If so, any idea on ratio?
After clover killer , do you seed? Or do you just let the grass thrive?
Great video as usual but I will say that that exact ortho WBG hasn’t worked for any of the violet I have. It wilts the clover just enough but the violet prevails. Heard the only thing for violet is Turf-Lon.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing your results
Can I use this on my Bahai grass?
Hi Ryan, Does this work for Common Lespedeza (Japanese clover)? If not can you please suggest which product best works for it.
Bauer weed killer in a small pump sprayer has worked for years for me.
Surfactant for all weed spraying would be perfect...that will help for dandelions as well. Thanks for watching!
Gotta looks be the old school sprinkler sound in the background 👍🏼
That impact was working away
I have clovers in my yard spreading to my garden (that has no grass, and mulch). Will this kill the flowers I’m trying to grow?
Hi. How soon can i plant grass seed after spraying weed be gone ?
Ryan, can I roll with this product in my 4 gal backpack sprayer for my yard? 13,000 sq/ft. or would you recommend a different approach? I have a ton of clover in my back yard which is about 9k of those sq/ft.
yes, just make sure you measure correctly for that area
@@ryanknorrlawncare Thank you.
Hi Ryan. I have a centipede lawn which is getting full of lespedeza. Do you know if the product you're using will work on it? I plan to go to war this Fall and continue as long as it takes until it's gone.
What is the time frame from clover to total death with this product
Also what does it look like as it dies? Does it and the surrounding area change to another colour or does the clover just slouch and die?
When should I expect to see if it did anything
I sprayed my backyard yesterday and I’ve followed the label and mixed .5 with half a gallon... this is the first time I’ve done this it seems like such a small amount of product
Exact timeframe I'm not sure of. It will get sort of brown looking and also curl up. It usually takes much more than a day to really see the results so give it a bit more time.
Ryan Knorr Lawn Care I’m probably going to use this again in the fall but if I do how much time should I wait to overseed?
I used 19-0-6 (with pre emergent & lockup) on April 9th & 0-0-7 lockup on May 4th (both granular) but I still have some patches of clover ... it’s June 6th today, when can I try the Ortho Clover without burning the clover affected areas?
I have low 80s this week and sprayed yesterday. I'll let you know how it goes
Can i spray during seeding 1-2 weeks in? I used scotts triple action starter weed and feed. Im noticing clover growth.
Video coming Wednesday. Tenacity alone won't do it very well
Nope, it doesn't. Tenacity killed the dandelion only to leave room for the clover and the creeping Charlie to return with vengeance
I used 3 applications of tenacity and yet the clovers and wild violet still thriving 🤔😥.
How long after new seed germinates can I use this?
i enjoyed your videos and i need a little help, what's the best weed killer for yellow wood sorrel weed?
I got some ares of mean clover... I’ll give it a try
Could I use ortho weed b gone and tinacity in a mix to blanket spray. Front yard is covered in weeds trying to kill before reseed in September
Conundrum, clover looks like crap but the bee's like it. So if I plant 10 perrenials I'll make up for removing the clover, right?
Have you ever used Crossbow for clover and other broadleaf? Its a Southern Ag product. I found it works really great on broadleaf varieties (much better than Ortho or Roundup which usually take multiple applications) but I've never used it on CC.
I have heard of it but haven't tried it. I might check it out for the creeping charlie.
Hi Ryan, enjoy your videos. I live in Northern Va, and have a lot of clover in our yard. When can I over seed after spraying? Is there an anti-clover product that allows faster seeding? A Scott product I viewed said need to wait about 6 weeks. Thanks
Something that is a little stronger and works well is Speedzone. I believe it's 4 weeks though if I remember correctly.
I want to check if this is safe to do. Can I safely mix Ortho chemicals like this one plus the other weed killer if I have a variety of weeds in my yard?
I'm not completely sure. I would apply separately if it were me.
Hey Ryan how long should y waight after y put tenacity on Kentucky blue grass
Is there a product where you don't need a sprayer? Like one that comes in a spray bottle form?
Should I spray and try to kill all clover with this product or can I overseed and just use tenacity. I just don't know if tenacity I better den this product to kill clover
tenacity on clover is not that great by itself
