Uh oh - I'm really loving this build. May be my new favorite. Have yet to fully stress test this but it turns Auric damnation into a cakewalk. Loving it so far. Thank you all so much for the love and support!! Should note that this gameplay was filmed on Auric Damnation. Not sure if mentioned that!
Been loving the Purg staff. This is an interesting variation to the build I have been using. I actually like brain burst for the range and it procs randomly from the staff constantly. But this seems better for harder maps.
Really cool build. Nice to see its working well even in Auric difficulty. Since the new trees I've seen people using all kinds of staves. So its nice that all of them getting use. I'm still a fan of voidstrike and brain burst personally. But that's just me.
i think you mentioned 50% toughness resist in bubble but i think that only applies after the bubble expires? it should just be 10% toughness regen per second in bubble
The double shield thing is definitely a bug btw, as long as you have any warp charges at all it just consumes them and skips the cooldown. It's not supposed to be able to reduce it by 100%
After trying this, I feel it is garbage. I constantly felt like I needed a long range tool. The purg staff can do what smite basically does with its main attack. You are missing all of the crit nodes that give you double stacks of burn. Going brain burst route with CDR and a lot more peril reduction is the way to go. Also, I can't stand warp charges. My 2 pesos.
I tried to get back into this today and my lord, the frames I was getting made me queezy. Wondering what rigs you fellas use. I have an RTX 2080 and get 30-70 fps...
Great Video - Would be fantastic if you posted a pic of your talent tree like Claysthetics in the comments section - makes a huge difference for referencing during play..... Thanks
I strongly disagree that this is the best Purgatus build (which is actually shards shout warp charges). Your biggest issue seems to be mid-long range shooters, but there are a couple of great tools to deal with them that you aren't using. The shards are great and will deal with any shooter except a reaper. The ult peril dump shout 30m through all walls for stagger and 6 stacks of burn are great to create space to close. And defensively, a force sword with deflector and peril before stam blocking talent makes you invincible to gunners and melee if you get caught in a real bad spot. Combined with some sliding forward while charging up the staff tech, you become one of the strongest counters for large groups of entrenched shooters. Killing everything is far more effective than cc'ing everything.
@@Pizza_is_old Wildfire isn't good with a Purgatus, it is more useful in a build where you do not have many applications of soulblaze, and so need wildfire to keep them from disappearing. With a purgatus everything should already be over the 4 stack limit and so it won't do very much. It won't quite do nothing, but compared to the impact that shards has it is very easy to give up.
@@A_Sneaky_Boy It won't let me post a link. So I'll just type it out with the picks (and skipping forced connectors to save a little space). Quietude > Perilous Combustion. Agreed. This guy doesn't have a lot of hours under his belt. Look at his wallet. He still has purple gear. He said he used to play Heresy cause Damnation was impossible...lol. He's a casual player.
I found that running both keeps me alive longer since the Purg staff is one of the less mobile ones! Faster charge and suppressed enemies feels too good to not use. Plus a lot of the blessings don’t work super great with the purg staff and these two definitely get their money’s worth.
@@FimblyJimthe problem is that Purgatus already applies suppression inherently. Anything touched by the flames will be suppressed, so it's effectively like not having a second blessing Take Flurry/Nexus instead. Crits on Purgatus apply double stacks of soulblaze
The problem with using assail and purg on the higher difficulties is you don’t really have any way to deal with hordes of pox bursters or mutants. Sure assail kills things really fast but when you hit Auric Damnation and have 6 poxbursters rushing from all sides it doesn’t help you and can get your team killed. To each their own tho!

Totally get that - I love that there’s now lots of variety in Psyker builds. The new additions to the class feel awesome
Evil fire space wizard is something I didn’t know I wanted

that build looks like so much fun.

this how we like it, great explanation
dont mind me just gonna yoink this
Lolol i love the yoink
Yep same
Same here, I’m loving the fire staff
I find using brain rupture is more fun because of a chance to make enemies head explode instantly or almost instantly killing elites with the shield

Thanks for this build :)
I wish i did the Wrap Battery Penance before patch 13 its so tedious now since brain burst does not pause the warp charges anymore.

Do you have a link to this build? Want to try it out.
If you grab shards, you can't get wildfire

Nice build!!
I love you ❤️
it is a bug and it only works on the bubble shild. if you have 1 stack warp charge you have no cooldown. i had 7 shild at once on a mission.
can overheat for the assail, brain burst too.
just very hard.
This will be a level 30 build I can't make it until I get the staff or can we use anything else
Do the warp charges reduce ability cooldown now? neat.
They reduce cooldown when you activate your combat ability. It's one of the talents
Real ❤
this is way better than robots purge "guide" EP with purge??? who does that?
this feels terrible against snipers, and my veterans never shoot the snipers for whatever reason. but its a lot of fun if you have a good team
Terrifying Barrage really isn't needed on Purg, much better to run Warp Flurry to spend as little time as possible charging.
He has both

Running a suppression blessing on a staff that already inherently applies suppression. Already seem enough, onto the next "best" Yter build lmao
Purgatus/Assail is way better and much more fun to play imo
