kareem is probably the longest lived 7'2 person in the history of the world. He is 75. His mind is still sharp and he was a human rights advocate. A legend.
First old tall guy I’ve seen
praise Allah , only true believer of the islām and the oath of shahada to the one true god will keep Kareem immortal .
@@bcwwrestling3519 bill Russell too
who cares
@hokori bill Russell like 6 foot 10 inches ::
Huge respect for Kareem.. 38k points and held the record for 39 years! That just shows how hard it is to achieve that record.
And left the court as a champion … greatest NBA career of all time.
It show how cute and soft nba back then because everyone is healthy hahahahaha but this day everyone is glass of expensive wine
Also he only has one recorded 3 pointer in his entire career. The 3 point line wasn't a thing for the start of his career.
@@idolngmgapogi572 ...The NBA was far from soft, PERIOD!!!
38* years
Do not worry for Kareem's legacy. Record are made to be broken, but Kareem's legacy is unassailable.
U put the ass in unassailable
Seriously, people act like all of a sudden his career is now meaningless. Someday, Lebron’s record will be broken.
@@anthonyferrari711 Everyone didn't see him play, Many weren't alive. They don't know his legacy. That's not their fault besides its not like he's media friendly.
@@joypeaceandhappiness1501 people are still aware that he was a great player. Isn’t that all that matters?
Kareem won 6 rings and 38,387 points made.
His legacy is fine.
The fact that Kareem is still alive to see this record is legendary in itself
I mean he aint thaaat old.
He did yoga, probably still does. 😘
He is only 75. Yes I know it's good age for a black man but 75 is not that old considering some black men live to 90-100 ys old
How old is he. I remember seeing him donate all his trophies and rings.
@@bryanlane5945 he’s 7’2 sad to say he will die soon
Ik Kareem’s expression were funny all game. But i can understand, he is 75 after all. You could see him struggling staying involved, something that happens at that age. For him to come out and be there at that age is commendable itself. I hope he lives as long as he can.
There's an nfl coach in new england that's out all the time
75 isn’t that old lol. Taller people tend not to live as long tho I guess
I think it’s as simple as being really tired.
He seems to sit down as much as he can and standing seems to be quite hard. He sat down for most of the Top 75, for instance.
Lots of people his age need a cane and are nowhere near his size.
75 is old but isn’t 95. The presidential candidates of the USA are around 80 (Trump & Biden).
He was just salty that Lebron passed his scoring record
Hats off to you sir for holding that record for 39 years almost 4 decades mind blowing🤯 incredible legacy
Lakers are losers since Lebron can’t inspire them to win. So that individual record means nothing. Lebron ranks 4th neck and neck with Karl Malone at the fastest to reach 30k points so does that make Karl Malone as good according to you Lebron Tard fans
no 3s too
@@angkhoaly4730 I think he only made 1 three pointer. Just incredible him and Bill Russel are the goats for me
As a Muslim:
Shaq and Kareem made me proud 🤲🏽❤️

Man, the number 38 around this whole scenario is insane. Bron achieving 38K at age 38, scoring 38 in the match against OKC, and KAJ holding the Scoring record for 38 years. Damn!!!
@Chronic Blast bron wasn’t born, was bron planned
Time to change his jersey to 38 😂😂
And Kareem broke it 38 weeks after Bron was born
And on the 38th day of the year 🤯
It's called doing a ritual
Kareem holding his record for 38 YEARS and then there's lebron at 38 years old breaking his record is the most ironic moment ❤️
with 38k points
38 points tonight
Some are Coincidence and some are planned. Anyway i love their both legacy.
39 years
damn bro was born to break his record
Kareem looks very healthy. He's really been taking care of himself.
Everyone is just jealous of LeBron
@@JohnSmith-ds1lu no-one is your a casual.
Yeah he’s had heart problem Afib but he took care of ur and he looks great
Something about the old school players that make them more likeable (even Shaq). They have a respectful aura about them. Also shout out to that guy 2:35 showing his love for the Kareem.
As you age, the more wiser you become
Imagine if Kareem came straight out of high school 😮💨. That record would’ve never been broken.
Also Kareem played ALL FOUR years at UCLA. Couldn't come out early back then. Spencer Haywood changed that around that period though. It became known as the "hardship" rule.
Lebron plans on playing more years though and averages higher pts a season then karrem. so he would have broken it eventually unless he gets an injury or somthing

He's such a wise guy. At this age still coming out and supporting the game is amazing

Shaq got emotional knowing he got his flowers from kareem and Kareem got his flowers from shaq. Shaq has said before how much he wants tell people how much cares about them so you can definitely tell in this moment❤
We are witnessing a Legend. We are blessed to see this beast of a player succeed each and every milestone out there. Literal chills :)
This make me tear up. Such a great moment between kareem and shaq
The inshallah by shaq got me teary eyed 🥺
Buddy in the crowd setting up a legendary photo with that Kareem playing card behind Kareem.
Greatest center to ever play the game is Kareem-Abdul-Jabbar
Hope Kareem isn’t mad about this btw
Did anybody else see that guy behind him trying to show off his Kareem card and the security guy getting in the way
That was the best part of the interview.
I'm glad Kareem AJ..is still alive to witness this..👍🏽🙏🏿 God bless you all
the best moment was at 5:00 look like Shaq was about 2 seconds from crying. Just 2 legends talking about their respect for each other
Kareem feels like another player tonight, thank you sir for being so graceful
2:33 I like how he shows off his Kareem card & it's a nice one too
Kareem will always be so special to the game.
Much respect to a legend. Kareem really came out, gave him the ball as a gesture of passing the torch of the record, posed and smiled and praised Bron. He said it himself, many players played for twenty years. Kobe, Dirk, Timmy for 19... great players. But LeBron put the work in and earned it. He stands alone, my 🐐👑
It's an HONORRRRR! FOR me, Delly, to, seee the Legend, JABBAR👊🏾
bill russell and kareem are two of the greatest human beings. glad I got to hear them talk while they were both alive
Kareem is my personal favorite player of all time he was just so entertaining to watch
Loved the fan holding up the 86-87 Fleer Kareem sticker.
It was a card
Lebrons longevity is incredible. Especially when you add all the extra games from his playoff runs. Congrats to him.
Almost every year a deep playoff run . Man no way he not the greatest ever 😂
@@michaelmurphy5919 hes not prime jordan but i wont argue with your opinion. The longevity speaks for itself, that says alot and to play at this level.

I love how Shaw responds to Kareem. Never have beef with the great Kareem.
Lebron has earned the respect of Kareem. Loved Kareem’s energy once the record was broken. He seems so fragile for 75 though. Hope he’s doing well.
Yeah he's a real one. I hope he's well.
He seems fragile for 75 ?? , 75?? At his size ?? He looks GREAT !
Have you checked the 75 years old population ? He looks great and sounds great .
WHAT??? Fragile? Are you fucking drunk?
Yeah, sadly humans just aren’t meant to be that large.
Being so tall enlarges your heart. You need more muscular activity to maintain blood pressure, and any additional weight is a huge strain on your joints.
Sadly, it can shorten your lifespan. But the good news is that exercise also extends it, and Kareem was in peak elite fitness most of his life.
Bill Russell lived well into his 80s, so there’s plenty of hope for Kareem to be around a while yet. :)
Hope Shaq slims down a bit, for the same reason. His outlook can’t be great at his size and weight, given the strain on his heart from just being so huge.
@@HorizonOfHope Shaq's knees are in bad shape from carrying around that huge ego.
Hey bro in da back with the Kareem basketball Card!!! It just went up in Value!!!!
Yeah. How do I sell it you think. ?
What a humble man Kareem is - a lot of players would be sour. However, his humbleness speaks far above any record LeBron just set.
1:57 LOVE the respect here between two LEGENDARY big men
Kareem's words are always well thought out, and mostly very kind. I can't really remember him ever saying anything unkind.
Thought he misread the Kyrie religious affiliation with Israelites🤷♂️?
@@ernestmwape can you elaborate.
@@toddmiller7876 wasnt he one of those people who said Kyrie was damb or stupid for posting a link about a video on the Israelites (a sect of Jews) on Amazon? Some journalist claimed tge film and book were anti-semitic. Kyrie was suspended and fined; those who were condeming Kyrie did not seek punishment on Bezos/ Amazon that was selling the book or Shaq (whose movie theatre was showing the film). Of course that led to Kyrie moving to Dallas, KD also jumping ship. The Nets have become non-contenders once again, waiting to rebuild over the next two or three seasons🤷♂️
@@ernestmwape if he did, I am not aware of that. There may be other things he said, I'm also not aware of.
@@toddmiller7876 there were very few black sports media personalities (currently on major networks) who did not jump on Kyrie over that: SA Smith, Charles Barclay and Shaq. Kareem had the sky hook back in the day!
6:03 shaq saying he ain't a sensitive guy is the biggest cap I have ever heard for 18yrs 😂
While some are arguing about great and greatest, Kareem has shown what it means to be grateous.
Alrhough there are several superstars in the league, it just shows how incrediably difficult it is ti achieve such a feat.
LBJ is an honorable person and I celebrate the man's achievements.
Imo, the skyhook when properly learned and implemented can extend ones career longer. It takes practice of course and hard work.
Imo, not playing D can extend ones career much much longer
When Shaq said he wasn't sensitive, lol 😂
A 38year record broke by a 38yr old king. He may not thought about passing kareem, but lebron was definitely born to be the chosen one destined to beat it. LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!👑🦁
Sorry to ruin your agenda but its 39 year old record
He scored 38 points and Lebron is also 38
Kareem's jacket is just 🔥🔥🔥
Man I LOVE Kareem. The ONLY man that can be mentioned in the GOAT conversation with Michael Jordan.
And Wilt
Records are made to be broken, that Kareem held it for so long is as much a testament to him as the record itself.
KAJ has immaculate vibes. Such a refreshing man.
"Assalamualaikum brother" damn i wish i could say that to shaq or kareem
The last statement by Kareem was special for shaq
5:05 this just validated the entire life's work of Shaquille O'neal. man tears bruh, man tears T.T
And MJ's record of being the GOAT has not been broken and never will! Congrats James but there is only one GOAT and no name needed!
Can't compare eras. Mj says it himself
@@lilyusi Michael NEVER calls himself the GOAT, he ALWAYS concedes to his peers. The point still stands. Michael IS the GOAT, the ONLY one. There's literally nobody else.
As a millenial kid, i always thought of Cap as a grumpy oldhead lackimg appreciation to the younger greats.. but this proves how ignorant i am of judging a person from how he is portrayed to how he truly is. Lesson learned sir.. and from how authentic Cap was with this conversations, i can say i misjudged the man and i appreciate him more as a person. What a class act.
Typical, millennial. If you would have done your research, before judging the man, you would have learned so much about what he did off the court.
@@JBrown-go8ru 💯 on that Bruh.
