All three patterns are lovely. Personally I would make a stained glass quilt out of it. I would use a nice sharp black and that way all the fabrics will standout on their own. Kaffe is great but like you said there is a lot going on in his fabrics. To put them all together to me they just sort of all get lost amongst themselves.
I have to agree with making it a stained glass! That would be so sharp! I have another pattern that calls for cutting the fabric at different angles and then shuffling them around and framing each piece and putting them together in a jig saw puzzle kind of way. I just watched a RUclips video on something like that today after I watched your’s and I really liked the idea!
I definitely would go with pattern number 2. It just pops out at me-beautiful quilt! I’m so glad you are doing this because I have a ton of Kaffe fat quarters!
Given your fabrics and that they are fat quarters I would go with option 1. Within my second year of quilting back in the late1990's I attended a workshop with Kaffe and Brandon, when they were just starting out.( I have attended more workshops since then whenever they come to Australia.) I learned so much about design and colour. Keep the shapes simple and use the fabric as the paint. They advocate cutting all the shapes and laying out on the design wall, step back and look for the pops, interest and balance. Do the unexpected juxtaposition alongside the fade into each other. I have hundreds of yards of their fabrics and LOVE working with them. Nothing is more exciting to me than working with them. You can keep the quilting a simple allover or go to town outlining the graphics of the fabrics. By the way Hancocks of Paducah Kentucky have an enormous selection of these fabrics with great sales that happen often. xxxx
I'm in love with #1. The others are so, so, so pretty, but number one spoke to me. Have fun! I too have many more Kaffe fat quarters than any one person needs, but hey! I love me some Kaffe!
I choose number 1. I think is the best way to enjoy that gorgeous fabric. I’m looking forward to know your decision. Thank you for this opportunity to participate.
I see there are a LOT of votes for #2, but I loved #1 because of the border. However, I'm a big fan of HSTs, so I'll be excited to see whichever one you make.
Hi Kristen! I choose quilt #3. I love the splash of colors and contrast. You are the best....I know whichever one you choose it will turn out wildly fabulous.... Have fun.
Definitely 2 for me. I really like the square border and the squares in the triangles. I just did a square border like that on a Christmas quilt and it looked so beautiful. With all those colors and prints I think it would look happy and bright.
@@ISeeStarsQuilting I wish I could share but I gave that quilt away to my BFF. I don't have any pics, what was I thinking! Anyway I will definitely do it again at some point.
I'd go with #1 ocean ripples. The prints don't have enough consistency for the 2nd, and I don't know if they have enough contrast for #3. I love Kaffe prints! I hope you love sewing with them!
I love all the quilt patterns. What I like best is for your Kaffe fabrics is pattern #2 with a simpler boarder like the one on pattern #3 with the interesting corners.
My favorite is #3. I have both of those books and although I’ve never made any of the patterns I have looked thru the books numerous times because of the beautiful photography.
I agree with another comment about making a stained glass quilt using a black fabric to make each print stand out and shine. That would be my first choice. Second choice is your option #2. I don't know how large the triangles are, but I would make sure they are large enough to appreciate each print individually. And then my 3rd choice is to take a look at Donna Jordan's video/quilt "Upstream". She uses Kaffe fabrics very well in some of her patterns. Can't wait to see the finished product no matter what you decide to do.
I liked pattern #1 for the Kaffe fat quarter quilt. I think the simplicity of the pattern will allow the patterns in the fabric to show through better.
I like pattern #2 first, #3 second and #1 last. I love Kaffe Fabrics too but don’t know what to do with them, but you gave me some inspiration and great ideas. Thanks!
Hi 👋 Christen! I’m partial to #3. I think it will look amazing with the colors that You have and I’m sure You can come up with a great border with using the corner stones of the fabric that you have! 😊can’t wait to see what you decide! Thanks for Sharing!
The fabric is beautiful and you chose nice patterns. I think I’d chose #1 Sun and Sea. Notice on that one that a lot of the half square triangles on the top have a nice polka dot type fabric. That makes the pattern for me. Notice on Dark Garden he uses the same dark print on most of the bottom dark half square triangles. I noticed that a lot of your fabrics seem to have a tan/taupe/gray background on them that I think will be quite noticeable. For me the first pattern would work the best. Whichever one you choose will be awesome. The quilting on your double wedding ring quilt is fabulous. It’s a stunner.
I would say #2 would look really nice with your fabric. Love all three quilt patterns but which ever one you decide on will look beautiful!! Happy Sewing!!
As soon as I saw the fabrics I was thinking these need black sashing, larger squares or even half square triangles but definitely some black sashing to really make them pop. Or even window pane sashing and call it summer garden. I would choose option one, especially for this larger print
So I'm a newbie, but I really love option number one. I think it's just simple enough that the patterns will sick out but has a good theory for the different colors to shine.
All three patterns are lovely. Personally I would make a stained glass quilt out of it. I would use a nice sharp black and that way all the fabrics will standout on their own. Great Idea 💡.
Yes, second a stained glass
I really like the solid black idea as well.

I just watched a RUclips video on something like that today after I watched your’s and I really liked the idea!
I vote for #1
I definitely would go with pattern number 2. It just pops out at me-beautiful quilt! I’m so glad you are doing this because I have a ton of Kaffe fat quarters!
Yay! I'm so glad to hear that. I'd love to see what you make as well.
Given your fabrics and that they are fat quarters I would go with option 1.

Wow! How exciting, I would love to hear about those times. What amazing memories you must have.
#3. They are all pretty.
Dark Garden is beautiful!! 2
I like number 3!
#3 I love color lots and lots of color
I do also!!! 🥰
I liked the #1 choice it would show case more of the fabrics to me any way😊
It's a hard choice for sure.
I like quilt #3. With the red blocks in the pattern, maybe use a grunge or tone on tone accent fabric (magenta/fuchsia)
Great idea Julia! 🥰
They are all great. Vote for #1.
I'm in love with #1. The others are so, so, so pretty, but number one spoke to me. Have fun! I too have many more Kaffe fat quarters than any one person needs, but hey! I love me some Kaffe!
I don't see any problems with having too much. 😜
I like them all but I would like to see it done with #3
my vote is for number 1! I most easily see it in the colors you have - but any of the 3 will turn out great
Thank you Lauren for sharing!
I like #3, it looks like a lot of fun.
Quilt pattern #3 is my choice. They are all amazing. This one speaks to me as it has a more organized appearance.
Thanks so much Shawn.
Definitely number 2!!!
I'm glad you picked the one you did, that would've been my pick, for sure!
Awesome Rachel! 😊
I like option 3 with the border from option 2.
Ooooh , I love the 3 rd one!! Number 2 was nice also
Number 1. I love that quilt.
Number 3
. Possibly different border but keeping the corner stones.tThank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for that suggestion.
SUN And SEA is IT!!! Thanks for sharing those patterns too.
You are so welcome!
I’m liking pattern 3 ! Good luck.😊
Lucky you! What a friend you are and have. I love everything he does--but number 1 is speaking to me
I choose number 1. I think is the best way to enjoy that gorgeous fabric. I’m looking forward to know your decision. Thank you for this opportunity to participate.
I want to hear all of your ideas. You all help me so much, so thank you for commenting!!
I love the sun and sea. But all the patterns are beautiful ❤
I like the 3rd pattern Sun and Sea love the design the quilt has.
#1....the simplicity let's the fabric shine.
Option #2 is what I chose. Have fun with it. TFS.
Dark garden I think would be lovely in these fabrics.
I really like that as well Annette.
Pattern number one. Love love HSTs!
I love the dark garden #2 - love the checkerboard and squares. It breaks it up a bit. 🌸
I agree as well.
I see there are a LOT of votes for #2, but I loved #1 because of the border. However, I'm a big fan of HSTs, so I'll be excited to see whichever one you make.
Thank you Cheryl. I can't wait to get started. 😍
Hi Kristen! I choose quilt #3. I love the splash of colors and contrast. You are the best....I know whichever one you choose it will turn out wildly fabulous.... Have fun.
Oh thank you! You are so sweet Rosa.
I love #3. I think the fabric will really pop with this pattern.
My favorite is the first one. It really showcases the fabric.
LOVE that passionflower fabric.
Number one , because I think the simpler the block, the more your big patterns will show, but I'm sure whatever u pick will be very nice!
#2 for sure. Love the contrast!
I like #2 Dark Garden best!
I LOVE the Dark Garden for the fabric you have ❤😁
Definitely 2 for me. I really like the square border and the squares in the triangles. I just did a square border like that on a Christmas quilt and it looked so beautiful. With all those colors and prints I think it would look happy and bright.
I love that idea, and would love to see yours as well. 😍
@@ISeeStarsQuilting I wish I could share but I gave that quilt away to my BFF. I don't have any pics, what was I thinking! Anyway I will definitely do it again at some point.
Number 1for me , simple but classy
They are all lovely, and whatever you choose will be stunning.... however, I myself love #1 Ocean Ripples.
I would choose pattern number 3.
I’d definitely do number one. But they are all so beautiful!
Happy sewing!
I'd go with #1 ocean ripples. The prints don't have enough consistency for the 2nd, and I don't know if they have enough contrast for #3. I love Kaffe prints! I hope you love sewing with them!
I am so excited to get started with them.
Probably the first one. I think it would show off the fabric nicely.
Dark Garden #2 - I love Kaffe’s fabric.
I also really like pattern #2. I can not wait to see how beautiful the quilt you are making is.
Thank you for the kind words.
I LOVE pattern 2! Hope to see it made up in your fabrics.
Hi Christen. For me I would go with #2, Dark Garden. It's way beyond my skill level but so beautiful to look at! ~~ Lynne
OH no, I know you could do it Lynne. Getting ideas from all of you really helps me.
I love number 3!
I like #1, but #2 would work with your fabrics as well. I’ve loved Kaffe’s work for a long time!
I love all the quilt patterns. What I like best is for your Kaffe fabrics is pattern #2 with a simpler boarder like the one on pattern #3 with the interesting corners.
I vote for #1 Ocean ripples because the triangles would really show off the material :) also like your glasses!
Awe, thank you so much.
Love those fabrics! Definitely pattern number 2! Love the border on that one.
#3 for me!
I vote for pattern #2...love the fabrics..can't wait to see it!
Pattern #2 is the one that I would like to see you make a quilt from. Such beautiful fabrics.
Good choice!
My favorite is #3. I have both of those books and although I’ve never made any of the patterns I have looked thru the books numerous times because of the beautiful photography.
They really are so stunning.
Love pattern 2 and 3. But I think #2 dark garden would display your colours beautifully. Can’t wait to see what you choose Happy sewing 😊
Thank you so much my friend. 🥰
@@ISeeStarsQuilting my friend you are such a great inspiration, I look forward to all your videos and posts. Your smile 😊 says it all and more. 💜

Thank you so much for those ideas. You all have been so so helpful!! 😍
Definitely 2 because the pieces are larger in the blocks. Or 1 and I’d make the blocks larger. Beautiful fabric!
I just want to make all the things. Deciding is so hard sometimes. 🥰
I liked pattern #1 for the Kaffe fat quarter quilt. I think the simplicity of the pattern will allow the patterns in the fabric to show through better.
I love your thought process MaryJane.
I prefer option number 2. I like the half square triangles with the checkerboard. Happy quilting.
Thanks so much my friend.
Personally I would choose pattern 2. Cant wait to see what you choose and create!
I also would go with pattern #2 dark garden. I love the look of his fabrics on this pattern
I do as well Mary!
I like them all but I'd make #2. Can't wait to see what you make!
Number 2 I like that one good luck
Thank you so much Debra!! 🥰
pattern number 2! I'm mesmerized by these little square vignettes in the light stripes!
i really like the dark garden
All are beautiful.
I like option 2.
Thanks for asking
Thank you so much for voting.
Definitely option #1 in my opinion. Best of luck.
All 3 patterns are pretty but Option 1 spoke to me. Excited to see what you choose!
I look forward to getting started. 🥰
I vote for #1. Using a half square border is buildt in when you make the larger blocks. :)
I like pattern #2 first, #3 second and #1 last. I love Kaffe Fabrics too but don’t know what to do with them, but you gave me some inspiration and great ideas. Thanks!
Awe thanks for your kind words. Maybe together we can figure it out. 😍
Beautiful fabrics! I'd choose #3.
Thanks for voting!
Option #1 would look fabulous! I've made two Kaffe quilts and they resemble option #1 and they look amazing!
Wonderful! I bet they are beautiful Sandy.
#1 I would feel would showcase the patterns the best. Love Kaffe fabrics. I’m looking forward to part 2!
Awesome! Thank you!
The first... Ocean Ripples (?). Simple, yet stunning. Least favorite... Third one
Hi 👋 Christen! I’m partial to #3. I think it will look amazing with the colors that You have and I’m sure You can come up with a great border with using the corner stones of the fabric that you have! 😊can’t wait to see what you decide! Thanks for Sharing!

#2 Please. Love that one. Thanks.

You are amazing, thank you for pointing those things out. That is so helpful! 😃🥰
They are all very pretty. My first preference would be #1. I have no doubt, though, that you will do a beautiful job with any of them.
That is really so kind of you!! 🥰😍
Dark garden. Is my favorite.
I love it also.
#2 would be beautiful!
So hard to choose. Although, I’m leaning on #2. Can’t wait to see which one you decided on. Love to see your creation
2 is the favorite for sure.
I like #2. Have fun making it.
Thank you! I certainly will.
I would say #2 would look really nice with your fabric. Love all three quilt patterns but which ever one you decide on will look beautiful!! Happy Sewing!!
Thank you so much!
Happy Mother's Day!!!
Thank you so much! The same to you!
I like 2 more than the other ones with the fabric you. Can’t wait to see what you go with!
I am so excited to try this. Stay tuned.
I like the 2nd one. I like the borders of 9 patch. Good luck.
I do as well. 😍
I think #2 would be beautiful!
As soon as I saw the fabrics I was thinking these need black sashing, larger squares or even half square triangles but definitely some black sashing to really make them pop. Or even window pane sashing and call it summer garden. I would choose option one, especially for this larger print
I do love the idea of the black to make things pop.
All 3 are beautiful but I like #1. Happy sewing ❤️🧵🪡
Thanks so much. I can't wait to get started.
Pattern 2! Can’t wait to see what you do. I am using my Kaffe scraps in the Trinkets SAL.
So I'm a newbie, but I really love option number one. I think it's just simple enough that the patterns will sick out but has a good theory for the different colors to shine.
I love that Marah, and Welcome!!
I like pattern #1 best out of the choices. I am looking forward to see which one you go with!
#2 Dark Garden is my favorite!
