When you think you've reached the top of musicianship, look up above... there is Steve Hackett.
Exceptional!!! Thank you Steve for this song! In honour of your friend Chris Squire I salute you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ it is a pure Squackett❤
The unmistakable sound of Steve's guitar !! He was, he is and he will always be the guitarist i like best.
He and David Gilmour have it cornered for the ambient, mystical guitar. So good!
Steve Hackett is the perfect example of the phrase " they broke the mold".
Another great performance of this wonderful musician (also a very nice and kind person) and his fantastic band
One of Hackett's best songs - I do hope this stays as a set-piece for a few more years to come. Brilliant, exhilarating and a great way to showcase the band.
That drums 😯Craig blundell master!
I purchase every Steve Hackett CD and Blu-Ray. This one will be no different.
Fantastic concert. Steve is the boss. Kudos to the band.
Been seeing Steve since early 70.s brilliant playing as usual always great live brilliant musicians great guitarist his own sound now who it is straight away 👍
While most were drawn to Genesis for Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and/or Tony Banks it was STEVE HACKETT that drew me to that band! I purchased Hackett solo works and eventually Gabriel's but not the others. :)
Fantastic! So glad to see Nad in live performances!
Awesome !! Great Steve Hackett !
Pure genius pure emotional inspirational genius
FANTASTIC!! This is my kind of music and performance!
Absolutely love this Steve 😁
Damn it's good, my next buy for sure
Gotta love this number, both live and on the album!
WOW, sounds incredible. All musicians on top form. PERFECT.
Love this song!!! So atmospheric 👍👍
Great song!!
These guys are absolutely fantastic
That Rickenbacker bass tone though...
sex on a stick without a stick.........
Awesome song...with some " Yes " influence...great stuff ! 👏👏👏🔝👍
Just what I was thinking, - my first time hearing.
Sempre il più grande
Craig Blundell is a monster on the drums!
Already got it (signed by the master), it’s such a delight!🎼👍😊❤️
Very dynamic version of a splendid and joyful track. Everybody sings and plays so well... And Steve delivers such fluid and brilliant guitar parts without any effort (apparently)...
Superb, a master at work.....wonderful harmony also.
Think the director needs to get his priorities straight in this, that bass part was easily the most interesting part, not.to mention difficult yet we see hardly any of it. Jonas needs more recognition!
WONDERFUL 💜
Just ....wow.
I love this band!
Perfection, waiting for it!
LIGHT !!!
Darn! I was hoping to see Dick Driver playing double bass! He plays on the studio track. For those who don't know, Dick Driver was in the band Quiet World along with Steve and John Hackett and the Heather brothers. He played double bass then too; over 50 years ago.
superb track-superb musicianship All's well in progland
Cool job!
I love it!
Come on Fernandes guitars, give us a Steve Hackett signature guitar already!
Yes please! Hurry I'm getting old!
It's hard to believe it's really live. How com they can be so in tune?
There's definitely some electronic trickery going on. that's more than 4 voices so they might have a few vox effects pedals going. Sounds superb tho
probably some post production going on along with vox effects. sounds really good!
Practice, talent, practice, practice and practice.
The vocal parts are in playback... 😔😔 You'll notice it comparing this performance with other videos
Sounds s bit like seventies Moody Blues. Hackett is so versatile. And as a Genesis fan I admire his keeping their music alive.
First time hearing, Steve had a bad case of Yesinsperation on that day. I love this track! EDIT: Actually sounds like Billy Sherwood song. That would be a powerful duo Hackett/Sherwood
Maravilhoso como de costume
When you see a guys like C-Tangana or Maluma winning awards your soul falls to your feet.
Superbe !!
"Hack it" is no doubt a way of saying he's got musical chops
Someone pin this comment
Calidad máxima Steve
Id pay to go seem them.
I hope Steve is boning the backup singer everyday!
Rob Townsend adds some great sax dynamics!
I do not agree, he butchers Hackett and Genesis songs.
He destroys every song he plays sax on. He should stick to flutes and whistles.
Ahh what Genesis could be doing
saw him play this LIVE in February and even sounded better than this...fantastic drummer
Let me jump in here about that drummer. If Craig Blundell is good enough for Steven Wilson, and Steve Hackett, he's good enough for me.
The opening section, anyway.
Huge fan of SH, but would prefer flute over saxophones and there must be more suitable singers than Nad, especially for the Genesis songs.
Me too. I've been saying that for years. Someone needs to throw out Townsend's saxes.
name a singer more suitable than Mr Sylvan.........
Wrong.
So happy and thrilled Mr. Hackett keeps producing superb music. I would have preferred to lose Rob Townsend who really is not a good fit for Steve's music but instead Craig Blundell replaced the excellent Gary O'Toole. Pity on both sides.
I think Steve should give Townsend the boot and bring his far more talented brother, John in.
I miss Gary but Craig has fit in well. As to Rob, I love his contributions and he fits in very well. Steve sees it too.
Much as I like Steve's guitar playing, Townend pisses me off every time. I pay to see and hear Steve not have Townsend play over the top and ruin it for me. Get rid.
