Me ...Yep..loved my country and my Royal Family all my life .... now in my dotage it saddens me the youth of today have no sense of pride of being British... well shame on them . Thank God I won't have to watch my beloved country disintergrate !
This happens every year in mid September. I was looking forward to this year's BBC broadcast but sadly the Queen died 2 days before and it had to be cancelled . So sad
Thanks for liking " that song " its actually our national anthem ( as you have Star Spangled Banner ...the better anthem in my view would be America the Beautiful). This version on the national anthem is fabulous
Just a question? Have you ever had an orchestra? Seen live, with a conductor? And then at a Night of the Proms? I think 14 to 15 times. With Meat Loaf and Toto. and Yellow submarine. And that in Rotterdam the Netherlands. And "Land of hope and Goirle ". at the end. Greetings from Spakenburg, Netherlands Gerben T.
As a patriotic British man I love the UK national anthem. As an even more patriotic Scottish man I deplore the third verse which although usually omitted,is I believe still a part of the anthem. It is unspeakably anti Scots. For those who are unaware, it goes: And with a mighty rush Rebellious Scots to crush. Not very neighbourly is it ? And it’s supposed to be our national anthem - for the whole UK
I didn't know that about those lyrics in the omitted verse for the national anthem. English woman here, and glad it is now obsolete. It has quite rightly so been dropped. Still the pride we all feel in our chests as the drum roll plays at the beginning of the national anthem is so very tear inducing (through pride) at times. The thing I don't understand is (and this is not a slight at the content creator that made this video), but most people know lots of countries' national anthems. We might not know the lyrics, but we definitely know the music. However, I cannot comprehend how this was not identified as the national anthem of The United Kingdom. Or, indeed, not identified as being "hmmm, sure this is a national anthem of somewhere, I've heard it before."
Love the reaction of this young guy. As a British man I'm proud of my country and not ashamed to say it in this woke world we live in. 🇬🇧

I Vow To Thee My Country is beautiful, please play it!
With you 100% I also am not ashamed to say I’m proud to be an Englishwoman..love our King but miss my Queen..😢🏴🇬🇧
Hear hear. Proud English lass here. The wokenazis can sod off.
I'll go with that!!
God save the Queen is our national Anthem now King is not just a song
'God Save the Queen', is not a song, it is the national anthem of the UK.
You would also like 'Rule Britannia' and 'Land of Hope & Glory' at the last night of the Proms.
Your reaction to "Jerusalem" was beautiful. You should explore classical music, you obviously have the soul for it. x
The concert is from the Royal Albert Hall, London, and the outdoor scenes from across the road in Hyde Park
Jerusalem is about when Jesus reportingly visited England.

Amazing video, also such a gentle wonderful man, all the best
I haven’t yet met an American who isn’t going to the Last Night of The Proms - one day.
Brits the same.
"Land of Hope and Glory" is another patriotic song from Last Night of the Proms. Turn up the volume and prepare to get goosebumps!
A very small country with a massive voice!!

To me" I Vow To Thee My Country" should be our National Anthem.
The words to Nimrod "we will stand together" is another great, please listen to it.
@@carolemiller198 Unfortunately we don't stand together, we're more divided than ever in recent times.

Usually omitted? It's always omitted nowadays.

Absolutely, can't blame you for feeling that way.
Sound is awful. You need to turn up the volume
Not gonna lie, your accent is adorable 🤭❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸
Jerusalem, did I say it right? A song called God save the Queen? Sounds super super dumb to me
@@Stephen-qi1qx To you, maybe it does. So what?
@@Stephen-qi1qx Not 'a song'. God Save Our Gracious Queen ( now God Save Our Gracious King) is our National Anthem. 🇬🇧
This should be England Anthem & God save the King is for uk
Jerusalem is England not Britain.
🙄
Some of us would like it to be our national an
The sound quality is appalling.
Jerusalem , the great socialist anthem
“I will not sleep from mental fight nor will the sword sleep in my hands , till we have built Jerusalem in England’s green and pleasant land “
It’s not socialist. It’s patriotic.
