Your reaction is testament to how Her Majesty impacted the world - beautiful reaction. I'd be interested to see what you make of the service at Westminster Abbey, the following procession and arrival at Windsor. Rest in peace, Your Majesty. God save the King.
How kind of you Americans to identify so strongly with those of us who dearly loved our Queen. I am a proud citizen of two of the furthest flung Commonwealth nations.
As a Royal Navy Veteran, I can tell you that the gun carriage carrying the coffin weighs two and a half tons. The coffin itself is lead-lined and weighs 500 pounds. The Royal Navy Sailors(Male and Female - first time ever for Females) at the front obviously haul the carriage. The Sailors at the rear act as the brakes, preventing it from gathering speed and also stopping it. They make it look effortless. Discipline and Pride. Those boys and girls did this country, and Her Majesty, proud yesterday.
My late dad was a RN vet and one of my son's is RN vet. So proud of the Navy guys & gals today, it was an honour to watch them carry out such an honourable task. We done
@@monicasyratt2117 I was one of the gun carriage crew for Mountbattens funeral in '79, you cannot even begin to imagine the pride I felt watch the new generation performing such a emotional task. I for one in '79 was almost in tears the whole march.

I'm sitting watching this and the tears are already starting to come..... Such a great lady and I once had the privilege of being presented to both Her Majesty and Prince Phillip, that's a day I'll never forget, and indeed is the day of her funeral.
I have to say that I was impressed that The President ordered the Stars and Stripes to be lowered to half mast on all US public buildings and military bases. Thankyou for that.
Too often people across the world like to voice and highlight the differences in their own countries, their cultures and their way of life. Too often these differences are used as a way to criticise and to belittle others and state how their country/culture/way of life is the right way, the best way and anything else is inferior. However, at moments like this we all realise that fundamentally we are all the same. We all have hopes and dreams, we all have sadness and grief, we all want what is best for ourselves, our families and our countries. The Queen was a uniting force for many across the world, she acquired the reign of the British empire upon the death of her beloved father. The Queen became the figurehead of an empire that had been formed by some of the worst atrocities the world had, at that time, seen and bore. She, being of good standing and of heart, welcomed the world and those nations that wanted to have their own independence returned to their people. She did not want to be a figure renowned for war or genocide. She often apologised for the actions of her family and ancestors. She embraced individuals, their cultures, their lives and their beliefs. She didn't always get it right but no one does. No one is perfect. It's not often a death of a head of state gets the outpouring of grief, the condolences and the acknowledgments of her accomplishments from all across and around the world as she has. Messages of support and acknowledgement from those whom would usually be considered "an enemy of the state". Queen Elizabeth II was one of a kind and the world is a poorer place because she is no longer here.
Super nice that Dr Biden and her granddaughter represented the USA at the Kings Coronation. No USA president can go to a royal service because of security reasons. Was very happy to see the ladies
Forget even the queen involved (I know you can’t), just as friends as a Northern Californian American who’s 28. You are are mother country, we have been friends for centuries and I hope not just centuries but for millennia. I’m an American so I dislike and suspect monarchy and for good reason but we would be where we are without a lot of the traditions of liberty we have without mother Britain. Sorry we had to throw you off, we were sick of nibbling on mamas tit 😜 I have family that fought in Ww2 and the uk soldiers were our brothers, and again, I always hope that’s true. No more burning down the white house like in 1812 please 😏
My mother, 91yo with dementia and former WRN, watched the funeral from her hospital bed. Tears were in her eyes and each time the camera focused on the coffin mum saluted. Even in the haze of her life she still carries the loyalty that the Queen embodied.
Scottish girl here and I just wanted to thank you for your kind words and respect for our beautiful Queen ❤ she was such a constant presence, for most of us, our entire lives and we miss her very much ❤🏴
I’m English and truly believe Scotland did our lovely Queen proud - I was comforted that she died there - her most favourite place in the world which was how she would have wanted it to be ❤
As a patriotic Englishman I can honestly say that this was both the saddest and most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed. So proud to be British. Rest in Peace my Queen, and thank you so much for your dedication and loyalty to our people.
I visited Westminster Abbey for the first time last year and it was truly awe-inspiring humbling for me to walk where so much history had happened - not just in the past 12 months but the past 1000 years. It is the spiritual centre and the soul of the country where kings, princes, poets, composers, generals, scientists, many of the great and good of Britain lie buried. And, most sacred and venerated above all, The Tomb of the Unknown Warrior.
Australian here. As a member of the Commonwealth our relationship with the monarchy is very deep but also complicated. Her Majesty's passing has been very sad & I have unashamedly shed buckets of tears since hearing the terribly sad news. I was a reservist in my 20's & swore an oath to protect & defend her. I'm now in my 60's. To me that oath still stands with her heirs. God save the King

Thank you so much ladies for your kind and heartfelt condolences . We loved our Queen here in the UK , she will be greatly missed and never ever forgotten. xxx
Jane Fowler l agree that our Queen will be greatly missed, but the babies and young children of today will only know Kings, they will learn about her about her at school and through the media, but she will pass from living memory, some people who were small were small in 1950 only know of King George VI, because of history, documentaries and the media
@Silver Fox l didn't mention those who knew our late Queen personally and learning about her from history books is not remembering her and l was a huge fan and a lot happened during her reign but a constitutional Monarch is head of state in name only, they only have a ceremonial position
@@lsmith9249 I was 12 years old and although we didn't have TV or, at that time, all the media information that we've had of our Queen, when I came from school and was told by my grandmother 'The King is dead' - I felt a veryh real shock and was sad. Knowing and seeing so much more of our Queen, yes it's even harder. I keep remembering her saying in her message during Covid 'We will meet again'. Likewise Phil, normally we would expect the matlow's to be a bit on the scruffy side, but give them their due they were all excellently turned out and carried the carriage brilliantly. Well done the Senior Service 👏

You must be so very proud of that son of yours ....mixed emotions for two momentous times in our history for you both . BIG Hugs for your son for serving my Queen so well .
This was a touching edit, however they cut out the biggest ever funeral military parade which is breathtaking and glorious, and the most heartbreaking aspect of all, that the streets and parks were jammed ten, twenty deep, through Westminster and then for 27 miles to Windsor, with those who loved their Queen and knew that she loved them. Elizabeth II did not rule, she SERVED her people, did her duty and did not let us down in the longest reign in British history.
You should go back for the procession from Westminster Abbey , passing Buckingham Palace where her staff came out unexpectedly to honour her. It was so amazing.
Did a marathon viewing of the whole almost 10 hr. live broadcast, sandwiches and flask of coffee by my side and the laptop with the live BBC youtube upload on just in case the satellite signal was lost. (It was about 15 seconds behind the TV). I had even thought about and arranged for comfort breaks without having to miss any of it. I doubt if I will ever witness another, well I hope not. Looking forward to the Coronation of Charles III, I imagine sometime in the next 12-18 months, too young to remember the Queens one.

I burst into tears when I saw the headlines and sat for hours watching the news coverage. The whole ordeal on Monday was one of the most profound and moving things I've ever witnessed in my life. We shall never see another platinum jubilee and we shall never see another monarch that can compare to Elizabeth II. In fact it is unlikely that we will ever see another Queen of England* (Great Britain & Northern Ireland) in our lives. This was truly the end of an era in so many ways. May she rest in peace.
Thank you Thamer, but Her Majesty was the Queen of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, not England. We Scots referred to her as Elizabeth Queen of Scots because Elizabeth the 1st predated the union of crowns of Scotland & England which occurred in1603. The Queen passed away in Scotland, a land she loved, a people she loved & we reciprocated that love in the way Scots do, low key, but loyal.

Being English, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for showing us you feel as we do. So thank you….💚🧡
I watched the service live at home in Australia and cried when her coffin came out and was placed on the gun carriage and then when the bagpipes played when she was taken to Westminster Abbey, then when the choir sang as her coffin was bought in, then when everyone sang God Save the King. After that I thought, ok, I’m good now, I’ve cried it all out. Then the service at Windsor Castle I cried when her crown etc was taken off her coffin, then when her coffin was lowered and then the lone piper walking off. I feel honoured to have lived during her reign and feel saddened that the next generation will never have known the comfort she bought to her subjects in times of crisis.
Those 10 pall bearers had just been deployed to Iraq and got recalled when the news broke. All the military did so well but how those 10 men had an additional responsibility and they did everyone so proud

More than two months now. And I still tear up watching this. Thank you for your restraint and respect. Watching this, it is obvious to me as a veteran, that all involved were giving of their very best for "The Boss".
Although not covered in this shortened version of the funeral ;THERE WAS ONE TINY BUT IMPORTANT DETAIL within the ceremony that probably went unnoticed by many. As the soldiers bearing the Queen's coffin carried it into and out of Westminster Abbey, with perfect symmetry they made a small detour to sidestep around one tombstone, and only one tombstone, although they walked across many other monuments as they went up the aisle. You may have noticed it surrounded by red flowers. Who is it that is deemed so important that even the late Monarch's coffin is not carried over their tomb? The answer is: We don't know' for it is the tomb of the unknown warrior brought from the battlefields of the 1st World War. Their burial in such a prominent place within the Abbey stands as a symbol for all those people, known and unknown, that died in that dreadful war, and stands as a reminder to us all of their sacrifice.
The families of the young men who bore her Majesty's coffin must be so proud of them. They were amazing. With the eyes of the world upon them they carried so much more than the weight of a lead lined coffin on their shoulders. I found the removal of the Instruments of State to be particularly moving. I felt she was being sprititually relieved of her duties and was finally Elizabeth rather than Queen Elizabeth, even though she will always be Queen.
It was the most spinetingling moment in utter silence. The historical significance and finality for Charles in particular was immense. We enter this world with nothing and return likewise. Every single one of us.
@@ludovica8221 It is a tradition lasting a thousand years, but you would not understand that, the gun carriage was probably older than America. Have some respect!

She was queen when I was born in 1957. Losing her presence was disorientating. I have always been proud of her. Although it may seem odd to some people I actually really like the fact that our head of state is completely outside the world of politics and is purely symbolic. Even some countries with a history of very liberal governments like Norway, Sweden, Denmark and The Netherlands have a monarch as a symbolic head of state. And I believe our Queen represented the very best of them.

During the funeral of Queen Victoria the harness broke on the gun carriage. Navy personnel stepped in to pull the carriage and the tradition stuck
My late Mother and Father would have loved to have seen this, both being in the Royal Navy, mum as a Wren Telegraphist and Dad was Gunnery Branch.
@@martinswiers6653 bullshit, the horses were unruly and after the funeral it was decided not to use horses again, navy are used because they are the senior service.
She was a once in a lifetime queen rule britania God save the queen

Well said from a Londoner...
You should go back for the procession from Westminster Abbey , passing Buckingham Palace where her staff came out unexpectedly to honour her. It was so amazing.
Yeah, would love to see a reaction of the military parade part

A sad and poignant event, but carried out with such majesty. It shows the British for who we really are.
God bless the Queen
GOD SAVE THE KING!
This made me so proud to be an English man ,nowhere in the world could any other country could do this, thanks ladies for upload and appreciating English culture
and the rest of Britain, from a proud Scot, our services, history and traditions cannot be matched. God bless her Majesty, long live the King x
Or British culture.
The Irish Guards, The Welsh Guards, and Scots all served the Queen with pride and honour. They have all lost their commander in chief, or " the boss" as they called the Queen with much love and affection.
@@leebaird8866 yes Lee true ,nice post mate
The lone piper at the end played for the Queen for 15 minutes every morning. It's so beautiful that he played for her one last time.
Thank you I didn’t know that
When he walked on his own at the end 💔 RIP QUEEN ❤🕊❤
I think the final tune,he played, was called ‘Sleep, dearie, sleep’.It was heartrending.
Such a beautiful song. I couldn't stop crying. We've all got Scottish-ness inside. Not ashamed to cry when hearing this song
That was the most moving thing of the whole ceremony. Absolutely no words to describe the dramatic intensity of it.
It doesn't matter what your views of the monarchy are, what I think that is first and foremost that should be acknowledged is the devotion of her majesty the Queen, for seven decades a devoted mother of the nation and the commonwealth, selfless, dignified and true to both her faith, and her promise she made so long ago, that she never forgot, but stuck to it with a passion and love I don't think will be seen again anytime soon. As a patriotic Englishman I thank you for this beautiful video, it was done with love and compassion.
That's true emotion from 2 American ladies. Thank you. As a British soldier I cried aswell. Sleep tight your Majesty.😪
Thank you for your service 🙏🏻 ❤️
If you ladies ever need any info on British army protocol or the pomp and ceremony that goes on over here let me know. I'm in the Royal Artillery I'd be more than happy to let our American sisters know what us wierd British do.
I fought alongside my American brothers in Afghan 3 times by the way they where all top blokes.x love you ladies for your videos... keep them coming.x
On behalf of my British compatriots, thank you both for your reverence and respect these past two weeks. Your coverage of this sad moment in our national history has, without hyperbole, been better even than that of your own US news networks. It has been a privilege to witness your heartfelt reactions, your touching messages in the Book of Condolence, and your appreciation for not only Her Late Majesty, but also individual members of the Royal Family (especially the Princess Royal) and His Majesty's Armed Forces, who served King and country without fault. God bless you both.
Thank you so very much. God bless you as well 🙏🏻
As Brit I can't thank you enough for the care and respect you showed in making this video, I've not cried until I watched this but I needed to and feel better for it, at 59 years old she was all I've ever known and will never see the likes of again. Thank you for making this video so glad I found your channel 💜
Me too at 63 damn you made me cry 😂😭❤️🤣
I only cried the other day talking to my daughter, this was the first time, I also needed it
I have friends in Oregon that just moved to Seattle and they were heartbroken too. Similar here,I'm from the UK, Wales and I had so much respect for her majesty the queen. Such an amazing lady and the only monarch ever to serve their country for 70 years. She was absolutely amazing. I felt so bad for the family not able to show their emotions,it must be so hard for them all. I cried last year watching the queen at prince Philip's funeral and this just floored me,she was such an amazing queen and lady. Rest in peace you're majesty my queen 💔 proud to call her my queen
i saw charles face, so sad, so full of grief, we forget that he is not just the king,
he is a man at his mothers funeral, and the whole wide world is watching him, so he can`t even cry...
Thank you. I’m an old gnarled Brit and even watching this again days later I have tears in my eyes. She meant a lot to us you know and it’s nice to see others showing they also care.
What a lovely couple of women. You broke my heart strings. 100% a credit to your nation.
Broke my heart when I watched that live. We really miss our Queen she was the best Queen this country has had at least that’s my feeling. 70 years service to us and the commonwealth a life time of service. Thank your majesty. Part of me feels she should be called Elizabeth the Great.
Respect for both wearing black & dressing for the occasion. Love from England 🏴
5 Billion people watched The Queens funeral - She had the send off she deserved - Long live The King, God bless The Queen. The MOST touching thing to me was at Windor, when she passed her horse, Emma, and her corgis waiting for her in the courtyard at Windsor.
Crazy that over 60% of the worlds population watched this.
that made me cry even louder
They just didn’t though.
8 times as many people watched the Queen's funeral than the Moon landings.
Agreed, her corgis and her horse had me bawling 😭
I’m absolutely devastated over the loss of our Queen, she was beyond important to us and she’ll never be replaced in my opinion.
We showed the world just what she meant to us, even down to changing Big Ben’s tone to a more sombre one, in utter respect and devotion to our Queen.
RIP Her Majesty 💜
@@kevinpierce3458 No one is starving in the UK, and you can always feed your children, appreciate you don't like the Royals but Millions of us do.

@@TheNatashaDebbieShow sorry for my outburst. Too many people in this country disrespect the Royal Family. I don’t understand why morons comment on anything they claim to hate.
@@W0rdsandMus1c nobody is starving? Have you not been watching the news?
People are literally choosing between heating their homes or buying food. Business are closing at a faster rate then ever. I think you need to educate yourself you royalist Wally
@@kevinpierce3458 Don't be so dramatic, I have lived through 3 recessions, stand by my comments, maybe people need to learn how to budget better, before you call me names, I bought my child up as a single parent, done 2 jobs, we lived simply but certainly didn't starve, thanks to our benefits system.
I watched your response to the queens funeral when you posted it at the time. It touch me then and I watch it again 8 months later and you touch me the same now as you did then - how time flies.
Thank you ladies for showing so much love and respect to our Queen. Sending love and hugs from across the pond xx
I was born in England the same year Elizabeth became Queen, so she has been my Sovereign my entire life. Even though I knew this day would come, when it did happen I wasn't ready at all. I still feels like my grandmother just died.
.
Same here. I was born 2 years later in 54. She was about the same age as my mum. So her changing image mirrored my mums over the years. Lost them both now.
Seeing and hearing two loving US patriots talk so warmly and sincerely about this historic event really made me feel a sense of togetherness. Our Queen, even in death, has the power to unite.
I’m in Scotland and hearing the pipes leading her out and the final arrival at Windsor had this wet stuff coming out my eyes.
Thank you.
Bless you ❤️❤️
🏴
And 'The Flowers of the Forest' always gets me right in the land of song, but yesterday I really felt it
I'm british and I was doing OK till the bagpipes. They always do something that makes me feel heartbroken and I don't know what it is
Yeah, I was ok until the pipes....
What an Honour for that Young Man to be selected as The Lone Piper, something that he did with amazing precision. It is The stuff that his Family will talk of for generations to come. So very Moving. RIP Your Majesty. God Save The King.
Me and my daughter went at dawn to the Mall outside the Buckingham Palace. I'm so glad I could be there in person. It's hard to describe the emotions that everyone felt: sadness, pride and pure love. She was one of a kind. There won't be another one like her.
I am a Brit and wish to Thankyou for the level of respect and reverence shown. This was humbling to watch
Queen Elizabeth II loved people from all over the globe. Unlike monarchs of the past, she did not reign over us, she served us, and did it so well. The grief and shock of her passing will be with us for some time, beyond this spectacular funeral. Everyone involved in her send off should receive medals. Every military person, civilian, musician and choir member did our Queen & country proud. This was monumental, and perfect!
Sending love to the world from the UK 💜💜🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
thankyou ladies for your kind comments much appreciated from the uk x
I cried all over again watching this. I have never been more proud of my country. The Queen was so loved and still is ❤
Still feels raw 😪😥
Me too, 4 months down the road and I still miss her 😢
Can only just about watch things like this it still feels very weird that she's gone
Who's care about the queen ding dong the witch is dead
I watched the whole thing from start to finish. All Day and I didn't cry. But you two just made me cry. God bless the Queen. God save the King!
I was the same. I was moved during the actual event, but this reaction made me more emotional than on the day…
Being English, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for showing us you feel as we do. I know we have so many horrendous things going on in our world right now and it could be argued that this was just one lady passing away at a grand old age…but to many Brits it is heartbreaking to see her gone. So thank you….💚🧡
Natasha and Debbie thanks for your personal coverage of our late queen's funeral, and the passion you both showed. Bless both of you and America.
I’m watching this again in 2024 and it brought me to tears like it did watching our queens funeral in the first place 😭😭😭RIP YOUR MAJESTY

I had surmised that was what that was though I thought it odd that none of the coverage I saw mentioned it. I believe the red flowers were poppies.
Some of your compatriots have been sneering about how Disney it is, so thank you so much for your respect and kindness.
really. I thought this was the antithesis of Disney... thank goodness
@@ludovica8221 It is a tradition lasting a thousand years, but you would not understand that, the gun carriage was probably older than America. Have some respect!
@@waynewal971 Read his comment again. You got what he meant completely wrong.
@@waynewal971 That gun carriage is 123 years old, and carried Queen Victoria to her final rest. It also carried Winston Churchill, George V, George VI, Edward VII, and Lord Louis Mountbatten, during their funeral processions, before Queen Elizabeth II became the 7th person to be carried by it.
@@waynewal971 I am a British historian and a monarchist. I guess you completely misunderstood me. I am not a fan of anything Disney. The point I was trying to make is that this funeral was the very opposite of fake and schmaltzy. So sorry you cant understand English
Your commentary and your sympathy and empathy really touched me. Thank you.
It's hard to explain what this all meant. I'm 65. The queen was the only monarch I'd ever known.
