the house tour is the culmination of everything, you know you can't skip that. been addicted to this from the beginning. i need that 30 min house tour with incredible staging and people doing their daily tasks etc.
Sometimes your mistake-fixing process is even more fun to watch than the planning & assembly. 😂 Love those pro-level tricks that always show up in your work, like using those angled blocks to hold things together while the glue dries. 👏
Oooo.... the heatgrid on the backside of the mirror is a nice touch. I need to remember that when I'm renovating our bathroom. It's of course for keeping the mirror nice and clear after a hot an steamy shower :)
I work in a shop that specializes in using artificial stone (Corian, Hi-Macs, Staron, you name it). The way you'd mount the orange part of the sink that Alex 3d printed is much simpler than he anticipated. You'd either use the same glue you use for the stone or just regular old sanitary silicone, either way will work. No need for drilling holes, just apply two thin lines of glue or two moderate lines of silicone (obviously taking into consideration to not have too much or any overspill on the inside) and clamp them down. Personally, I recommend the silicone because it spreads out more evenly and arguably holds not only a better seal but is a stronger adhesive.
Hey, I love what you do and I very rarely comment but knowing you aim for perfection, I just wanted to let you know the custom furniture "industry standard solutions" for these types of sinks : 1. you make a thermoformed piece that will have the standard round drain in the middle(at this size you could do it in your oven) 2. you use straight pieces to make a slanted drain channel(it won't be much larger than your 3D printed one) 3. you use long shower drains and you replace the stainless steel cover with a composite cover (you will have a rectangle slot but this solution allows for super easy maintenance and is easier to install) Some fabricators make the back side removable for easy maintenance and most of them use a kitchen drain because is larger an if you remove it you can stick a bit your hand inside to clean the drain channel. Also keep in mind that composites are not held together by metal screws because they expand and contract at different rates and this will cause cracks. In your case the cracks might show up pretty soon if you use very hot water followed by cold water. If you still can, try to remove the side screws, they are not needed anymore anyway. The screws of the drain shouldn't be a big problem.
Love it! You've added in many great touches, not letting any space go to waste. I'd love to see a final house tour in summary of all the work you've done.
The sink is absolutely amazing. I love it! I love that you included when things didn’t go the way you thought they would and you showed how you fixed it. I try to build or improve things, and it doesn’t always go as I thought it would. I have to do a lot of fixing and feel like such a failure. I don’t have anyone to teach me how to do these things, and so I have to just hope I remember correctly what to do. Because of this I tend to be very slow at finishing things, but I’ll try not to let that bother me in the future. You are very good at this and you have really great ideas. I look forward to watching your other videos of this remodel and your future videos.
Very cool. I suggest you put a sink strainer in the sink's pipe connector. One of those mesh things. Just in case you ever drop a ring down that sink, for example. Or so that hair doesn't accumulate further down the pipe.
This series has been pure joy to watch. I love all the little details and solutions that has been showed off during this. If I ever do a renovation I'll will use this as inspiration. I also need to mention the cinematography in these videos has been on point! A house tour would be lovely to see everything finished as a cohesive piece. Wish I had two more hands so I could give four thumbs up.
omg just started watching renovation videos. Found one of the episodes from 2 years ago and decided to watch all episodes, which leaves me here. Amazing work you and Vilda has done. Amazing carpentry work and thanks for the inspiration. I think you will help a lot of people by documenting the whole journey! Cant wait to get to do it myself. I'm for sure gonna steal some ideas!
Done a great job since started peeling off the dusty ceiling two years ago. When I first started, it seemed like such a daunting and endless journey, but it has already been completed perfectly and beautifully.👏👏👏
That’s an incredible attention to detail. I really would love to see a video in a couple of years, how everything will holding up and what to learn from it. So far, i doubt, anything would buldge or break, but it’s a tiny humid bathroom, so this is a real stress test.
I followed with great attention all of your videos and smart solutions for each room of your house. I would like to have a complete tour. Congratulations for your finished project.
This has been an amazing series and the apartment turned out AWESOME from when you first purchased it. Huge congrats to you guys and a tour would be cool!
I started watching this as I bought my first brand-new apartment. Had to wait two years for it to finish and now I've lived in it for half a year. You've inspired some of the modifications we've made to ours! Greetings from Ensjø.
it's incredibe to think i've been watching this for 2.5 years and what's more incredible is the finished result, massive congrats to you both, I hope it's as enjoyable to live in, as it was to watch being consrtucted
For the sink drain mont piece instead of oring plumbers putty (not epoxy) is what is used in the trade. It's like waterproof playdough. Used for drains and other places you need a temporary waterproof seal
Well done on a great job renovating this apartment. Your videos are quite nice to watch and I particularly like your attention to details. Please keep making more videos.
It’s been fun and helpful tos we the incredible ideas and solutions, even designs you’ve come up with! The kitchen being my favorite for the wood being the true statement and all the custom drawers and storage, the coffee holder, etc. is just amazing! Hope you don’t stop here though or maybe you’ll expand on shop builds. I’m all about the woodworking portion but seeing you build out your sink and countertops has been a blast to watch
The amount of work that went into such a small space is simply breathtaking. Apparently you're happy with your results and that's all that matters. And with the videos you have a nice memory of every step of the process. I'm excited to see what comes next.
Absolutely need that house tour bro. This build series has been absolutely amazing. Your attention to detail is insane and design choices are so gorgeous. Can't wait!
Incredible video series! Without a doubt a great job on your part Alexandre! Thank you for sharing it with each of your followers. Grettings from Argentina!!
A video on how you design and print the accessories for the room would be nice. Everything from the first design thought ("Oh, we probably need a vent here.") to the CAD work and then print considerations.
If you printed in in ABS you could use an acetone/abs slurry which I have been having great results with and it 's cheaper than having to buy fancy epoxies or adhesives.
Amazing video! Love your work, such a pleasure to watch you come up with all these solutions and the desings are absolutely stunning! One recommendation, if you'd devide everything you've done for the bathroom, for example, I'd absolutely enjoy watching every single part separately and then would definitely watch the whole bathroom build all at once. That way you'd get more content out and give fans more stuff to watch. I'm sure you have all the recordings to do it, I think it would definitely be worth your time piecing all of them into smaller videos, rather then just 1 big one.
Congrats Alex! You and your girl did an amazing job with this remodeling. I've been watching your videos all through the process these years and feeling realized for you both 🫶🏻 now go get a babyyyy
Next time you do inserts like this, you should realistically need a useful maximum of 4, and an ideal of 2~3 threads of the bolt engaged in the insert. In the shot comparing the cut down insert it looks like 6~8 threads. So you could in the design phase aim for a really short depth. The thread pitch times the threads you want engaged is the depth you need; I didn't catch if you said what size bolts these are but M6's pitch is 1mm, nice and easy, you need 2~4mm, plus a bit of airspace at the end and probably assume the first 0.5~1mm don't actually do anything because of a chamfer or partial threads. The only catch I can think of is cutting the insert too short reduces the knurled length, at some point it becomes too short to hold itself in.
Wow it looks incredible! Been here since the start and I can't believe how easy you've made it look. :P A house tour would definitely be cool. So far this series has only really been on a "per room" basis as such. It would really help show the thoughts you've put into how things transition etc. :) Oh btw... Living in a small apartment with a sink you can practically wash your hands in from the toilet. That thing with the mirror seems really useful! I'm definitely going to have to try it, the backing always goes away from condensation. :(
Great job it looks fantastic. A house tour would be appreciated to see some of the design details again. Why did you not design a stopper system if you want a bit of water in the sink? Congratulations on finishing the house!
House tour will be nice
It's honestly not a good idea to show your house floorplan on the internet. It can be used by burglars or attackers to plan an attack.
You can show rooms without showing layout
I remember when you started this series. I can't believe it's been 2 and a half years. Congrats!
Well, all I can tell you is that the building business is not fast. Neither cheap or fun, to tell the truth. 😬
@@MCsCreations He makes it look fast and easy, but in fact this video contains probably a month of a very hard work.
I've watched every single episode of this renovation journey and i can only say that you are an artist and the work you do is amazing
the house tour is the culmination of everything, you know you can't skip that. been addicted to this from the beginning. i need that 30 min house tour with incredible staging and people doing their daily tasks etc.
Your attention to details is just mind blowing! Been following this from the beginning and yes, OF COURSE we want a full apartment tour!
Nothing is more permanent than a temporary solution that works
Sometimes your mistake-fixing process is even more fun to watch than the planning & assembly. 😂 Love those pro-level tricks that always show up in your work, like using those angled blocks to hold things together while the glue dries. 👏
It wouldn't have been fun if he had simply doubled the bottom by gluing a second plastic plank
😆
Oooo.... the heatgrid on the backside of the mirror is a nice touch. I need to remember that when I'm renovating our bathroom.

The entire bathroom is stunning and the sink is a masterpiece!

Finally another video from Alex yay
your attention to detail blows my mind 🤯

yes please to the house tour.
the bathroom looks killer

Your creativity and attention to detail is absolutely stunning. Congrats on this beautiful renovation and go enjoy it now!
Wow that was one of the most incredible bathroom builds I've ever seen. And the fact that you did it all yourself is amazing.
House tour would be awesome and a great way to cap off the series.
18:20 just a tip for next time. Try to use a glue pattern where water and mousitre unable to build up. :)
I followed with great attention all of your videos and smart solutions for each room of your house. I would like to have a complete tour. Congratulations for your finished project.
You should get an estate agent to appraise it! Then add up your costs and see how well you did!
I see someone else also watches Modustrial 😉
yes!
Yes to a house tour 😊
You are not only a great ingenious builder but a great designer as well. Congrats on the renovation and enjoy the finished house!
This has been an amazing series and the apartment turned out AWESOME from when you first purchased it. Huge congrats to you guys and a tour would be cool!
15:17 I hope that speaker is waterproof, considering that it is in the bathroom which fills with steam when you take a shower
Thanks for keeping your time line real.
Oh I love the oak doughnut idea
I started watching this as I bought my first brand-new apartment. Had to wait two years for it to finish and now I've lived in it for half a year. You've inspired some of the modifications we've made to ours! Greetings from Ensjø.
Alex, this has been an AMAZING series to follow! You're both magicians. Thanks for taking us along on the trip :)
Some very clever additions and amazing aesthetic. Well done, thank you for sharing the process.👍🏼
A house tour would be great 🎉 Maybe with a little before and after?
House tour for sure! Great work on the house both of you 🎉😊
I love your dedication to creativity and problem solving. It is very inspiring!
full of respect... kinda sad this series nearly over.... hope another mega project from you Al...! cheers from Malaysia!
it's incredibe to think i've been watching this for 2.5 years and what's more incredible is the finished result, massive congrats to you both, I hope it's as enjoyable to live in, as it was to watch being consrtucted
Yes, please do a detailed house tour!
For the sink drain mont piece instead of oring plumbers putty (not epoxy) is what is used in the trade. It's like waterproof playdough. Used for drains and other places you need a temporary waterproof seal
Hey Alexander! Your videos are absolutely awesome, and I can't wait for your next project's video-keep up the fantastic work! 🎥🙌🎬
I would love a house tour! Very curious how everything came together
Well done on a great job renovating this apartment. Your videos are quite nice to watch and I particularly like your attention to details. Please keep making more videos.
It was a super inspiring journey to watch the progress in all episodes! 🙌
Can't wait for the next projects 😏
It’s been fun and helpful tos we the incredible ideas and solutions, even designs you’ve come up with! you carried it all up the stairs....
...yes please I would love a house tour.
Fantastic job Alexandre!
It's already been 2 years, man, time flies by. Great series, enjoyed every video of it. 🙂
Amazing work that turned out super well! Perfectly done job is an understatement.
i like that you dont cut out the little fails while you build it! 👍
Definitely a house tour 🎉
As always, simply fantastic work! Your attention to details and accuracy are simply incredible.
Some really cool little things in here that I can apply to other spaces. Thanks!
Very impressive! You definitely didn't skip any on the details, which I really appreciate :) Yes, I would love to see a full house tour!
The amount of work that went into such a small space is simply breathtaking. Apparently you're happy with your results and that's all that matters. And with the videos you have a nice memory of every step of the process. I'm excited to see what comes next.
Soapy water around the seams allows to detect leaks, when blowing the air in
Don't forget to put some silicon and/or a cap at the end of the LED strip next to the sink.
House tour for sure!
Fantastic job on the bathroom! It has come together really well!
Absolutely need that house tour bro. This build series has been absolutely amazing. Your attention to detail is insane and design choices are so gorgeous. Can't wait!
What a journey. Absolutely amazing work throughout and so many great tips shared. Thanks!
15:38- Dude, what are you using there? A planer blade? Seems pretty useful.
insane... got exhausted watching this video with all the work that was put into it.. amazing job and dedication..
Incredible video series! Without a doubt a great job on your part Alexandre! Thank you for sharing it with each of your followers. Grettings from Argentina!!
Wow! Excellent job.
i neeeeeeed a house tour!!!! Would love to see an overview and your decorating!
A video on how you design and print the accessories for the room would be nice. Everything from the first design thought ("Oh, we probably need a vent here.") to the CAD work and then print considerations.
House tour! We have been watching the whole project! It's so nice, so inspiring.
The heated mirror touch was just mind blowing, the result came out so clean.
Amazing job i had no idea that i follow this already 2 years. Il love the way you have make the cabinet from the Bad room and kitchen.
That really is lovely material. It's nice how the glued joints just vanish.
If you printed in in ABS you could use an acetone/abs slurry which I have been having great results with and it 's cheaper than having to buy fancy epoxies or adhesives.

Amazing series! A final house tour would be great.
Alexandre should be the chief designer for Ikea!!!!
Man this is a *really* nice bathroom, it's been a joy following this series
Congrats Alex! You and your girl did an amazing job with this remodeling. I've been watching your videos all through the process these years and feeling realized for you both 🫶🏻 now go get a babyyyy
the bathroom turned out great! and absolutely yes to the house tour! ❤
Making your own sink is next level!
Amazing work! What type of LED-strips are you using for the lighting?
yes, definitely a house tour! outstanding job to the both of you!
Incredibly fun series
18:03 I guess it has something to do with preventing fogging

Yes please, house tour!
Of course we'd like a tour of the completed project, please!
Congrats for this big project! I’ve watched since ep1 and got pleinty of ideas and tricks for my future home thanks to you
Indeed, a house tour would be fantastic
Great job it looks fantastic. A house tour would be appreciated to see some of the design details again.
Why did you not design a stopper system if you want a bit of water in the sink?
Congratulations on finishing the house!
The 3D printing is pure genius- total build looks awesome 👏
house tour! yes please! really awesome work!!
Nice Job, a house tour would be great!
