I truly love all of the interviews. The only thing I'd say about this one, is that there was a lot of background noise. It was distracting, so try to quell that if this happens again. With that said, still love this series. Love hearing about our Jamaican people, and you are the best host❤️
This is another great interview 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Well done to the travelling Jamaican. My parents travelled from Jamaica in the 60s. Jamaicans are travelling all over the world, I think travelling to the African continent is the most adventurous and inspiring. Thanks for sharing..😃👏🏽

I always wanted to relocate from america to uganda .i was once informed that a organization was form in uganda to help people who wanted to make that move . I am wondering if that organization is still in existance .i started to prepare myself for that next journey and hoping that i can now get some guidance how to get that soft landing . I would like to do a farming business in uganda .

Am Ugandan but reside and work in Europe but would like to do a partnership with someone from diaspora who is in the process of relocating especially if you wanna do business venture in farming. I prefer business partnerships with diaspora because they bring expertise in the chosen field instead of many locals who claim to have skills but luck the skills.

Hello brother Xavier. Fellow Jamaican here living in the US. I will be relocating permanently with my wife and kids this summer to Africa. Still deciding on exact country. I will be taking a trip to Uganda in a week or so and I will be over there for 2 weeks. While in Uganda I plan to catch a flight to Namibia for maybe 5 or so days. I left you a note on another video as well with the Jarrett family in Namibia. I really hope I hear back from you on this but I would love to be able to get in touch with these folks, especially the family in Namibia. I do have a friend in Uganda, so I'll have someone on the ground there but I don't know a soul in Namibia. Still would be nice to link another Jamaican in Uganda though. I think the word is not judgemental. I think what she meant is that in Uganda people are communual. So some may poke their noses in your individuality. They may expect you to dress according, so you adhere to the community! For a jamaican with all the freedom, Uganda may seem extreme, but comapred to another country, Uganda is then "normal".
Jamaicans ancestors might have been taken to the Caribbean in chains but it's very plain to see Jamaicans today refuse to remain tethered to a post. They are as adventurous as Columbus, even more so only they are not stealing any ones cultures or lands.
Guyana is in South America not the West Indies. Also, there's two Guyanas, one is called British Guyana, those are the Guyanese people who speak English and intermix with Afro Caribbean people from the British West Indies. The other one is called French Guiana and that is the Guiana which receives Black emigrants from the French West Indies, specifically Haiti.
Historically, there are three Guyanas chipped off of 🇧🇷 Portuguese speaking Brazil by other European powers. They are British Guyana, French Guyana and Dutch Guyana (Surinam). British 🇬🇾 Guyana is GEOGRAPHICALLY on the northern Caribbean coast of South America. The CULTURE is West Indian. It developed like all the British colonies with enslaved people from Africa working the plantations. After slavery was abolished in 1833, the British brought in cheap labour from India and China to work the land. The British had learned from the past and the Indians and Chinese were allowed to keep their names, allotted small plots of land and allowed to have family life. All British colonies in the region, including Belize in Central America, were grouped as British West Indies. The French West Indian islands (excluding Haiti) were considered overseas territories and able to send a representative to French Parliament. The West Indies cricket team is picked from 🇬🇾 Guyana, 🇧🇧 Barbados, 🇹🇹 Trinidad, 🇯🇲 Jamaica and the other English speaking islands. The Dutch maintain ties with their colonies and I see many Dutch in places like Curacao. Many people from Guyana work in Trinidad which has a relatively good economy.
SHE didn't make the choice. Her FATHER made it for her. She was a CHILD aged 10. What's wonderful is she still celebrates her Jamaican Heritage. Many move abroad as children and as adults are JUST learning about Jamaican culture.

That’s a big lie what your father told that woman , Kenya there is so much tribalism and corruption , Uganda has Never been stable and full of corruption. But Tanzania is the most stable and peaceful country in africa even in all east Africa, people are friendly and live in harmony. So you can say Tanzania is terrible.The best safar there are in Tanzania such as mountain Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania, serengeti national park , ngorongoro national park and Zanzibar island much too see and Tanzanians speak standard kiswahili

I am a jamaican living in the usa i would like to relocate asap . My desire is to find a african county uganga is certaintly on top of my list south africa is a force too but the weather will be a problem . However i found this video to be very educational and i am thankful .i hope in the near future their will be a follow up interview that will even go deeper in the things that we need to know before making that move . Owning or renting of properties i think will be the concern of most people thanks again for a well done job .

Hi Joella, I do not kneel for my husband. Only one tribe does that, the Buganda. My husband is from the Karamojong people.
