    Dude this is exactly why I want a DR350. I want to explore like Dore the explorer and hit some trails. Bring a backpack and some survival equipment and just go. God bless I literally can't wait.

      I've got an entire hammock camping setup that fits into about a 20L dry bag. Throw that on the back and can camp just about anywhere a dual sport can take you. You won't regret getting into dual sports

    Nice bit of exploring, exactly what these bikes are good at. I have 2, the latest is my 6th, there is nothing else new that does the same job so well?

    Boomer Hill in Douglas county? I’ve got a DR-z400 that needs more time in the dirt.

    I just bought one of these bikes. its a 93 but how does yours do on the highway. will it cruise at 65? mine wont go that fast yet cuz the P.O put different sprockets and knobbies on it. Gonna switch back to stock sprocket size and put some 50/50 tires on and hope it works better

    • @mtnmotoadv
      @mtnmotoadv  2 года назад +1

      Yeah mine runs 65mph pretty well, I dropped the rear sprocket down to a 39 tooth from a 44 and the front is a 15T. If I was going to be doing a lot of highway miles I'd probably put a 16T up front but the 15/39 is a good medium for on and off-road since it still handles trails pretty well.
      I also run the Shinko 244's, for how knobby they are they handle the pavement really well. They're more capable on the street than I'm able to push them anyways and have never felt them budge when carving twisties

    What saddle bags are they? And what capacity? Looking for some day bags for my 93 DR that don’t need a rack. Nice video!

      Tusk traverse bags 8l each side 16l total. Perfect size to carry all my basics; tool bag, spare oil, tire irons, bungies, snacks first aid kit etc.

    Hey I was watching the video and realized I have ridden exactly where you are 😂 I live in Winston and ride a Husky TE300, we should ride together! I’m not street legal but I enjoy taking it easy on chill single track and I can show you a lot more in that area (and I’m sure you know lots of places too!) Are you on Facebook/any of the PNW dirt bike groups?

    • @mtnmotoadv
      @mtnmotoadv  Год назад +1

      That's awesome! I'm on the Southern Oregon Dual Sport & ADV page and have a small group of locals on there that I ride with. Tons of good riding down here in the MC area too I'd be down to show ya around!

    I'm looking to pick up a 91 dr350s. How reliable are they

    • @mtnmotoadv
      @mtnmotoadv  6 месяцев назад

      The engines are virtually bulletproof. Even my DR was bought in rough shape with unknown miles, fixed up the basics and have put even more unknown miles on it over the last 4 years (maybe 15-20,000 miles +) and have not had a single major issue with it. I would suggest getting one with an e-start and adding a kickstart for backup but that's just personal preference. These bikes have a bit of a cult following for a reason, they're great little bikes
