This is the hardest edit I've ever made; I started sobbing whenever I edited a scene of Justin. Justin Foley has been my favorite character for the past two years, he's the reason 13 Reasons Why became my favorite show. I'm angry, sad and heartbroken. He deserved better. Much, much better.

Hannah's death was something... But Justin's crashed my soul, break my heart into pieces... He deserved better...

Dylan Minette is honestly an amazing actor that made me feel every line he delivered. I haven't finished Season 4 but someone spoiled the show for me and told me that Justin died. Its devastating to hear that because I really loved Justin

This show did something to me I can't explain. It's just a feeling I get when I watch it. Loved every season and without a doubt these actors were able to play their roles so well. Justin's death had me bawling like a baby.
I agree I’m 39 years of age and school was so different not the best but nothing on the scale it is today and what kids/young adults have to deal with. this as really done something to me & I’m so glad I’m not in school this day & age but as a mom it opened my eyes and I’ve took a lot from it.

They did a spectacular job with building the Clay-Justin relationship. When he died I felt like I lost a brother of my own
I lost my brother to leukemia when he was 8 and I was 10. Seeing Justin’s death brought back those same feelings. Brandon Flynn and Dylan Minnette made their characters reach our hearts. Heartbreaking end, but their friendship and love for one another lives on.

The ending of the show really hurt my heart. Just to be able to witness all the growth he’s done , it’s tragic to see where he ended up. I cried & cried for Clay & Jessica. He turned out to be one of my favorite characters on 13 reasons why. Amazing edit ❤️

This truly shows how important mental health and drug addiction is a very real problem. It breaks my heart 💔 everytime I see this... #13 Reasons Why opens so many eyes. My Soulmate took his life and a lot of things hurt. This actor/man did such an amazing job. He should be have been recognized

I cried for at least an hour over his death.. all I could think abt is how he turned his life around for the better and was living proof you can get better after addiction. He was supposed to go to college and have a good successful life and then they can’t even let him get to graduation like are you fucking kidding me. So much for all the character development he had throughout the season. It just makes me sad. He didn’t deserve to die. They didn’t need to add this in the show.

Ella Stopka well if I’m being honest it was kind of hinted that Justin was going to be the one to die. Throughout the season, Justin mysteriously started getting spots on his neck that comes from almost std diseases. This is a reach but remember in season 1 when Jessica and Justin were dressed up for costume day and clay said “you know how that story ends right”. Justin costume character pretty much dies from overdose
i feel like they really wanted to address the HIV, AIDS topics so that people would discuss it more cause it is real and should not be taboo and didn't know how else to address it so they made Justin sick but I was so sad too💔

What they did to his character is very unacceptable. It's been 2 years yet the hospital scene brings tears in my eyes. He deserved a happy ending. He had everything he needed in life, starting from a good family to a good home for living. His death broke me man😭

Even though I missed out on a lot this show, seeing Justin die this way split my soul in half. From what I've seen, his relationship with Clay became the best part of this show, and I cry everytime I see him in earlier scenes now. What a tragic fate for such a sweetheart. RIP Justin. Season 4 was basically about surviving high school and making it to graduation and its heartbreaking that justin didnt even get to graduate. i am just so heartbroken over his death. don’t worry, im also feeling intense pain and grieving, even though i finished the series 2 days ago. that was the hardest i’ve cried in a long time. at first i thought it felt silly because i was grieving over a fictional character’s death. but it’s ok to feel this bc stories have a way of making us feel connected. it’s ok to craft a happier ending for justin in ur head if it helps u cope, it certainly helps me. :) i like to imagine that justin never died. he marries jessica, with justin as his best man and his parents mr and mrs jensen walking him down the aisle :’) justin deserved better. at least now he’s free of pain

I was in my late 40s when i watched this series..probably not the demographic it was aimed at but i thought it was great and i cried so much all the way through but Justins death is why ive never rewatched despite how much i loved it!

DEFINITELY more sad than hannah, we had 4 seasons of character development and we knew Hannah was dead from the first minute of the first episode so nowhere near as impactful

Yeah that’s why Clay told his therapist “ It all started with Hannah”... because it did, everyone on those tapes were affected in life somehow bad or good. Everything ties in with each other and shows that actions have consequences later on in life and that the time on earth should be cherished because you don’t know when it’ll be your last. Gonna miss this show! And I don’t know why it was so hated by some people. But I loved it 🥺🥺😞😭

Idk why but Justin's character this season hit me hard af since the beginning.. it was like i could see myself in him at times.. losing myself.. not knowing exactly what i am or what i am worth.. trying to make things good and better but end up exactly where i started..

The “It would have been so easy to save him” is the one line in particular that shatters my heart into a million pieces, because it’s true.
His death shows us that sometimes people lose themselves when they have no hope . And that even when hope is lost , that person can still be impactful to everyone around them. The true lesson would be “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone”. Everyone took him for granted and treated him like he wasn’t special , then when his last moments were coming , everyone else saw how special he was . Never turn your backs on anyone , because you never know when it’ll be the last time you get to delight in their presence .

Remember in the beginning when we didnt like Justin and then we couldnt help but want the best for him. This video just broke me all over again. It was perfect though. I just cannot watch how scared he is in the hospital, crying and begging Clay to take his hand without crying. Omg heartbreaking.
He was clays glue 🥺 he kept clay together, he fixed clay, he saved him numerous times, he saved so many ppl. He carried the show, he was everything, i know its just show but as soon as that machine showed his heart rate stopped mine did too. Honestly he became a brother to the person he hated most he redeemed hisself he deserved to go to college he deserved to live, so did hannah, and monty, and bryce. No matter what they did. Justin death hit me fucking hard, he was everything literally everything.

Let me tell you this is the most upsetting death in the history of tv shows/films... I cried for a hour straight and woke up my mom at 3am because if his death... The saddest death ever. Ever. He deserved so much better. And poor Clay...poor Jess... I- I’ve never cried so hard over a fictional person in my life.
Edit- another reason why it hit so hard was because I happened to go to a friends house the day I watched the last episode and I was talking about who I thought it was that died (she had already watched the whole show) and I stated “as long as it isn’t Justin I’ll be okay” and she told me it wasn’t Justin so I was relieved.. later that night when I watched the last episode.. I didn’t want to believe it was him until it actually happened... so thanks to my friend who got my hopes up only for me to feel empty for the next week🙃
