I'm watching it over and over again.. I'm now on the age of 30. If you remember something like this, and if you feel a kind slow heartbeat which turns faster and faster if you see those two, be sure, that there is someone who means the same for you, then hannah did to clay. My inner teenager is crying every single day I saw this scene.
I genuinely don't understand how people don't like this show. It's so powerful and (at least the first season) so realistic. It portrays mental illness in a real and powerful way. The actors, the writers; everyone who worked on this show did a phenomenal job on it. I loved this show so much when I first watched it.

This was the first series I was watching after falling in love with someone deep.. unconditionally.. after 5years..almost... Life played its game.. and applied conditions when love turned into commitment... fights.. crying ..sleepless night.. arguments .. Fall out .. leading into a dead end.. This song reminds me of the first day we met.. strangers felt an eternal bond that they thought last forevet.. little did they know forever doesnt exist.. Here I am praying to god.. to give me strength to get over the grief..pain.. loss.. and come out stronger... Hope to find this comment few years later..
It'll probably be a slow go to start... But the other person who posted is right - the pain will become easier... It's situational, really but this situation will be a helluva learning experience. Life has played similar games on all of us (for me it was 12 years of my life) - feel what you need to feel... 7 years ago I was in the 5th grade watching this prolly had no business but I was intrigued I watch it every year I graduate in less then two weeks had to come watch it again time flies.

It should/could have helped you to better understand the fuckery of high school; the cliques, the bullying etc. Watching this as a middle schooler should have given you some idea of the shittiness of HS and helped prepare you for what was to come. 🙂 You then graduate and go on to do what you're gonna do and live your life. A half or decade later, you have the 5th or 10th year reunion - where you realize most people don't change all that much... Give it 20-30 years and you'll see more changes.
This song should’ve been played at the end of Season 4 of 13 Reasons Why. Everyone who has watched the show has been drawn to this song because of the relationship of Clay and Hannah, and how Clay moved on with his life after her death. The first season just touched my soul , Hannah just wanted a person to trust and love and always get stabed by people she trusted , she never gaved a. Chance to clay , the person that truely loved her The first season is very relatable to the real life
Clay wasn't always innocent. They would've been a great couple, but so much crap happened to Hannah she felt like she had to end her life. She even said it wasn't him, it was her. But it wasn't, it was just shit luck for both of them. Inevitably they would've ended up together if she was still alive, because they are perfect for eachother, but it doesn't mean they're perfect human beings.
Some parts of the first season was clays flashbacks of hannah, while other times he was hallucinating her there. So the cut on his forehead was our anchor to reality!
Season one was slow like he listened to a tape each day so him still healing from the cut could take a full 30 days and that’s exactly how long season one was but yeah
Every time i think of them I wanna cry, every time I see a video of them (like this one) i do cry. It makes me so sad and upset that these things actually happen?? I consider season 1&2 the best show I’ve ever watched.
I think the show did well in trying to show that Bryce felt bad for what he did after seeing the impact of his actions so he tried to change his ways. If he didn't die he would have become such a better person.
“I had all and then most of you Some and now none of you, Take me back to the night we met, I don't know what I'm supposed to do Haunted by the ghost of you“ hits you like a freight train, it’s the absolute perfect song for Clay’s journey through the tapes, his grief, feeling responsible for Hannah’s death, it makes me tear up every time. They should have just stuck with 1 season. It’s a perfect self contained story.
I noticed that and then I went through the song again and realized the first line represents everyone who wronged hannah hasn’t dealt with what they did to her. And then the line “I had all and then most of you, some and now none of you” definitely represents clay losing hannah. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do haunted by the ghost of you” is directly about season two and in season two clay literally didn’t know what to do about her ghost. I was like woah it was almost like this song was meant for the show. I’m glad it was their slow dance song it’s absolutely beautiful.

every time I heard this song, I always thought about how nostalgic, sad, emotional, and something I can't describe, especially when you think of the 13 reasons why. The plot is just sad :')
No one understands how I'm emotionally attached to this show. It's more than a show to me. It showed me that suicide never ends the pain it puts it onto the people your closest to. This show makes me cry my eyes out watching the people suffering because of her suicide. No one deserves to have to go through that. And no one deserves to wonder if they're worth it and if they would be missed. I promise each and every one of you that you will be missed. Please stay.
And nobody understand how I’m so emotionally attached to it. It’s the most absurdly poorly written show, with terribly inconsistent characters and a borderline hilarious final season. Nothing entertains me more than this show, not only the fact that it even exists, got renewed for three more seasons, and there are people who watch it and somehow don’t die laughing the whole time, but also how seriously it tries to take itself at the same time. It thinks it’s so profound, and is “starting a conversation”, when in reality it’s just overly shocking and dramatic with little to no substance. Not to mention teen suicide spikes when they release the show. Truly a poetic masterpiece. This is coming from somebody who is clinically depressed and actively suicidal. This show is peak entertainment, because of how bizarrely unrealistic it’s depiction of mental illness is, as well as the constant conflicting message they’re trying to deliver to the audience. The show doesn’t even know what it wants to say, so it just shows incredibly shocking scenes over and over, with little to no consequence, especially in the later seasons. I’ve watched this show three times. And I love that it exists. It’s truly a representation of the disgusting state of humanity, in more ways than one. This song is unironically great though. I’m very sad I associate it with such a profoundly problematic and damaging series.

When I was an in-patient at a mental health hospital, there was one fellow patient there that struck me in particular. This older gentleman came up to me while we were in line for our morning medications, and he showed me a picture of his daughter that he thought looked just like me. She had killed herself some time ago. I was there for attempted suicide, in part because of my undiagnosed PTSD. I chose not to disclose that to him, since it seemed like it would hit too close to home. While I was bored, I made a bunch of bead bracelets for the other patients. When I gave him one, he went back to his room to cry. He said that no one had ever made anything for him before, and he asked me to make him another, which I did. Even though the first bracelet seemed a little too small for him, he wore them both everyday. When I was finally being discharged, he hugged me goodbye and said he loved me. He became a lasting reminder of how my parents would be affected by my suicide.

They are such a beautiful pair. Clay is simply awesome, smart, kind, caring, restrained and respectful. Not only Hannah, any girl would be mighty lucky to get such a person. Such persons are rare in these times. I also find Ty and Annie of Sweet Magnolias lovely too.
When the show about the clay and Hannah relationship we find that connectivity and emotion is forever, they make the 1 season memorable for us with their love.

So true! I know for sure that I am and have been a Clay Jensen in so many people's lives. But sadly this always comes at a price... I lost my older cousin to suicide when I was 12, and two nights before he died he came home and spent the evening with us. He basically came to say goodbye and we didn't realize it, we taught he was finally doing better. I will never forget what he told me because it forever changed my life for the better. I didn't have dreams or goals, no kid does at this age do but he believed me to be special enough to accomplish anything I wanted. Ever since I knew that this is what I wanted to do: save people, make a difference in their lives. And that's what I did ever since he died. Life has been so eventful and still is. It's exhausting but so worth it to know that you made someone feel safe again or that they have someone in their life to lessen their burden enough to get back up slay their demons.

A half or decade later, you have the 5th or 10th year reunion - where you realize most people don't change all that much... Give it 20-30 years and you'll see more changes.
This song should’ve been played at the end of Season 4 of 13 Reasons Why. Everyone who has watched the show has been drawn to this song because of the relationship of Clay and Hannah, and how Clay moved on with his life after her death. I think this would’ve been a perfect ending playing this song with flashbacks of Clays past.

The first season just touched my soul , Hannah just wanted a person to trust and love and always get stabed by people she trusted , she never gaved a. Chance to clay , the person that truely loved her
The first season is very relatable to the real life
No no Hannah was awful.
Clay would have saved her life if they just went for it instead of teasing it.
Clay wasn't always innocent. They would've been a great couple, but so much crap happened to Hannah she felt like she had to end her life. She even said it wasn't him, it was her. But it wasn't, it was just shit luck for both of them. Inevitably they would've ended up together if she was still alive, because they are perfect for eachother, but it doesn't mean they're perfect human beings.
Three things in life are certain:
1.Death.
2.Taxes.
3.Clay having cut on his forehead the entire first season.

Season one was slow like he listened to a tape each day so him still healing from the cut could take a full 30 days and that’s exactly how long season one was but yeah

And then the line “I had all and then most of you, some and now none of you” definitely represents clay losing hannah. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do haunted by the ghost of you” is directly about season two and in season two clay literally didn’t know what to do about her ghost. every time I heard this song, I always thought about how nostalgic, sad, emotional, and something I can't describe, especially when you think of the 13 reasons why. The plot is just sad :')
No one understands how I'm emotionally attached to this show. It's more than a show to me. It showed me that suicide never ends the pain it puts it onto the people your closest to. This show makes me cry my eyes out watching the people suffering because of her suicide. No one deserves to have to go through that. And no one deserves to wonder if they're worth it and if they would be missed. I promise each and every one of you that you will be missed. Please stay.

And nobody understand how I’m so emotionally attached to it. It’s the most absurdly poorly written show, with terribly inconsistent characters and a borderline hilarious final season. Nothing entertains me more than this show, not only the fact that it even exists, got renewed for three more seasons, and there are people who watch it and somehow don’t die laughing the whole time, but also how seriously it tries to take itself at the same time. It thinks it’s so profound, and is “starting a conversation”, when in reality it’s just overly shocking and dramatic with little to no substance. Not to mention teen suicide spikes when they release the show. Truly a poetic masterpiece.
This is coming from somebody who is clinically depressed and actively suicidal. This show is peak entertainment, because of how bizarrely unrealistic it’s depiction of mental illness is, as well as the constant conflicting message they’re trying to deliver to the audience. The show doesn’t even know what it wants to say, so it just shows incredibly shocking scenes over and over, with little to no consequence, especially in the later seasons. I’ve watched this show three times. And I love that it exists. It’s truly a representation of the disgusting state of humanity, in more ways than one.
This song is unironically great though. I’m very sad I associate it with such a profoundly problematic and damaging series.

I find hannah relatable not cz we share same story, but cz I feel her. How the character felt that she's making everyone's life terrible, so she considered suicide. TBH the book is more realistic than the series.

When I was an in-patient at a mental health hospital, there was one fellow patient there that struck me in particular. This older gentleman came up to me while we were in line for our morning medications, and he showed me a picture of his daughter that he thought looked just like me. She had killed herself some time ago. I was there for attempted suicide, in part because of my undiagnosed PTSD. I chose not to disclose that to him, since it seemed like it would hit too close to home. While I was bored, I made a bunch of bead bracelets for the other patients. When I gave him one, he went back to his room to cry. He said that no one had ever made anything for him before, and he asked me to make him another, which I did. Even though the first bracelet seemed a little too small for him, he wore them both everyday. When I was finally being discharged, he hugged me goodbye and said he loved me. He became a lasting reminder of how my parents would be affected by my suicide.
I am crying..it's so beautiful how people we don't know touch our lives on the most beautiful way ...what u did must have had a lasting effect on him...I hope he found peace..
And for u..let me tell u..u r strong and beautiful and kind..I got through with ur condition...I am very happy for u...keep smiling and inspire people 🤗🤗

They are such a beautiful pair. Clay is simply awesome, smart, kind, caring, restrained and respectful. Not only Hannah, any girl would be mighty lucky to get such a person. Such persons are rare in these times.
I also find Ty and Annie of Sweet Magnolias lovely too.

So true! I know for sure that I am and have been a Clay Jensen in so many people's lives. But sadly this always comes at a price... I lost my older cousin to suicide when I was 12, and two nights before he died he came home and spent the evening with us. He basically came to say goodbye and we didn't realize it, we taught he was finally doing better. I will never forget what he told me because it forever changed my life for the better. I didn't have dreams or goals, no kid does at this age do but he believed me to be special enough to accomplish anything I wanted. Ever since I knew that this is what I wanted to do: save people, make a difference in their lives. And that's what I did ever since he died. Life has been so eventful and still is. It's exhausting but so worth it to know that you made someone feel safe again or that they have someone in their life to lessen their burden enough to get back up slay their demons.
