She doesn’t even need makeup. Her skin is flawless and/or the video is well edited..
Also, I can never figure out blush. I always look like a clown when I put in on.
I think any blush is going to look weird to you if you’re not used to seeing it in your face, this is at least what I think.
Using a less pigmented, buildable blush in a rosy tone is a good place to start! I find that applying blush on the mid to outer part of your face going upward (ala Robert Welsh) can look great depending on your face structure.

She has a very classic type of round doll face - shape wise, but also with her large eyes, high round forehead and cheeks and pouty lips - so i think that's why that apples of the cheek placement absolutely works for her and accentuates that doll like look even more. just proves that product placement depends absolutely on what works for your individual face. she's absolutely gorgeous :)
and yeah I know she's had a lot of work done. But seriously, it's her body. I still find her gorgeous. Especially cause i think it's still a very natural look. I had a classmate way back when who looked exactly like that naturally. So it's not like there is any unrealistic standard set. Such faces do exist naturally and she decided with her financial means to go for that look. and while i personally wouldn't alter my face, it's not up to me to decide what other people do with theirs.
@@lottegrey7671 She had surgeries? She looks so beautiful who ever her doctor is did an incredible job! I’ve seen people get stuff done to change drastically and look horrible but she looks amazing they fit her face perfectly. I didn’t even know or realize😮
imogen moonlight look up photos of her before & after. She's completely changed her face.
@@imogenmoonlight I used to work with her, she looks nothing like she did when she booked Liv and Maddie. Has had so much surgery I didn't recognize her and I used to see her every day on set. Multiple nose jobs, implants, facial bone shaving, brow lift - botox. Got boobs while on show to cover up the anorexia. She is beautiful but it was paid for.

It's great to see someone apply make up that accentuates their face rather than paint on a face they like. She knows her face well and of course it helps if you are that gorgeous. Really nice tutorial and she knows her make up by explaining her steps.
Light touches when applying makeup looks so glamorous too. Somehow it looks more effortless, yet measured and controlled. It looks elegant.

Remember girls, she looks amazing because since a child she has been prep to look a certain way, she has received multiple treatments, let's not compare ourselves with her. I know she is beautiful naturally, but what we see over here is an enhanced image that she has received since she was a child star. It's hard for me to look at her and not feel some kind of body dysphoria. But I also try to remind myself that I do not need to look a certain way just because there is beauty treatment that can change me.
She has received many surgeries too.

can people stop blaming other people for their mental illnesses she has the right to do what she want of her body its basic human rights even if she got surgery its not like its banned or something am sorry but the world doesn’t revolve around you
@@malakAshraf189 I do not see anyone treating her incorrectly, and no one is talking about her mental illness. I didn't knew she had a mental illness, nor is relevant cause in my case I just gave a small reminder to us to not compare ourselves with an actress that lives from her beauty and has access to beauty treatments. Not like us that have to work a regular job. I said I feel body dysphoria cause I don't feel pretty and start questioning my appearance, so I just tried to remind myself not to compare with others specially with stars that have access to millions of treatments, and shared it cause I wanted to.
Loved her makeup! No baking, contour, highlight, bronzer or eyeliner. Gorgeous! Although she did have her amazing face and skin and hair on her side 😍
I'm not sure why she even bothered with concealer. There was nothing to conceal!

@@webhaida oh yeah she definitely would do more steps if she hadn't had ps, but what she did is still make up. I don't like the idea that make up has to be complicated, because it does not.
It's very "no makeup" makeup for a date night look in my opinion, but when you look like that you can do whatever you want to your face and look perfect anyway, haha.

Have I missed the story about Robert burning his lashes with a lighter?? The only place I've used a lighter in my beauty routine was with eyeliner in the 90s right up until I burnt my eyelid with molten liner 😂
He used to smoke, I think he said it was from that.

@@7Mushrooms7 yep, cheap dry eyeliners that wanted to pull and drag without leaving much behind "worked" if you put a little flame to them. But if you leave it in the flame too long then you're just rubbing molten colored wax over them 🤣
I adore Dove Cameron & I'm so happy she's voicing the importance of taking care of your skin & that less is more, she looked fabulous. I got a job at 16 so I could afford to buy department store skin care & have continued to care for my skin my entire life, I'll be 40 in January & still haven't developed any wrinkles even around my eyes but I also believe sunscreen & water can be just as important.
does that mean even when u smile there are no wrinkles? :/ bc i’m 21 and have lots of wrinkles around my eyes when i smile
@@GG-lt5or I hope your skin moves when you smile but "smile lines" are wrinkles that show on your skin even I you're not smiling. A good hyaluronic acid makes the skin flexible so when it creases while you're showing any emotion it'll snap back & take much longer for damage to show on the skin. I hope you're watching James' channel as well, you're going to want to hold onto that 21 year old skin as long as possible.

You didn't, it's just me butting in haha, cause i still can't believe i grew up with that bizarre tradition 😄 yeah, in Poland too and it was so bad in Warsaw I refused to go out on Easter Monday since I got wet once with a whole bucket of water when going with a bus to visit friends on a cold, rainy day. It was nuts, and I'm still pissed that it got so extreme for years.
i am over 40 and have fought getting on tiktok and now Robert has given me no other option cuz i must watch all his content across all platforms. My kids thank you for bringing their mom to 2021!

Eye prep IS underrated! Learning that from you has COMPLETELY changed my blending game! I thought too much hydration might hurt the makeup but you changed my life with this tip! LOVE!
Jokes aside it’s absolutely crazy how much work she’s had done at such a young age. I’m all for plastic surgery and if it’s something that’s going to make you happy and feel good about yourself and isn’t anything that’s gonna hurt you in the long run, by all means, go for it! But when you look at before and after pics of Dove, that’s a completely different face. And she was stunning beforehand. Now I feel like she’s starting to age herself so much because the work she’s had done is the same much older women do. So now by default she looks like one of those women.
I just hope she didn’t do it because she felt pressured to look a certain way to become a disney star. Disney is a whole other demon that needs battling but I digress.

A breath of fresh air. Not being in a rush really helps doing make up nicer as well. I never leave myself enough time and end up going into auto pilot mode. Taking notes.

I have always been in to makeup but after discovering a good skin care routine I have noticed when I do wear makeup I use less because I have little to nothing to cover up and bonus I am way more confident walking out of the house with no makeup then ever before. When I don't want to wear makeup I use tinted brow gel through my brows and curl my lashes and I'm out the door.

I wish that Dove Cameron, like so many of these other celebrities, would admit to their plastic surgery. So much of their looks (the cheekbones and lips in particular) can't be achieved by makeup alone. Makeup doesn't change your bone structure.
Edit: I'm not against plastic surgery. However, I think it's disingenuous when celebrities and influencers endorse makeup and skincare items when in reality their appearance comes from fillers, botox, and surgical procedures. I worry for Gen Zers who have grown up on social media seeing a constant distortion of reality. Their generation has higher rates of eating disorders and mental illness, and a lot of that has been attributed to what they've seen on social media. With power comes responsibility, and I think it's the responsibility of these celebrities to be transparent.

Yeah! And its incredibly frustrating that I see even people on this video say that she is a natural beauty and compare themselves to an engineered standard that was achieved through surgery... I'm not against it, but I am against people not disclosing it and as a society building these insecurities in young people. It's okay to have things that aren't "perfect" about yourself, and just because we can erase all of those things doesn't mean that we should (for mental health reasons / not accepting aging and flaws)
It’s unbelievable that these young girls feel the need for plastic surgery and procedures at their age. So sad. What are they going to do when they actually get old? What must their self image be like to want to change their faces to all look alike?
Yeah and shes like....extremely heavily altered. I never realized just how much work she's had done at such a young age. It's really quite astounding.

That being said yes, so many celebrities and influencers don't disclose that they get their results through surgery or other treatments but then sell and sponsor makeup or skincare saying that it's those products that make them achieve their beauty when it's obviously not.

Wayne Goss used eye primer under the eye to hold the concealer and color corrector years ago.
That was a nice, natural look. It’s nice to see on a young girl. It was a fairly step intensive routine for her to pretty much look the same at the end.

Once again, a wonderful, educational video! Thank you Robert! I've recently added oil to my skin care routine, and I love it. My moisturizer could not keep up with my age (nearly 50) and changing skin. I needed to tweak my skin care routine to accommodate. Oil was the perfect addition in my routine for a smooth, healthy glow. 😊
