LOL I mistakenly assumed that this dark ride was going to be like the Spiderman ride, so my sister and I were freaking out after the first drop. Had to hold onto my glasses for dear life
2:37-2:39 I’m not sure how many people know this, but one fact about this ride that was not mentioned was that one point, the movement for the Immothep animatronic was so realistic that people thought it a live performer.
@@AnthonyZ. No, this isn’t the case. The animatronic itself has just lost its movement more and more over time due to age. The figure itself weighs a lot, 680 pounds. And has been constantly popping in and out of its coffin for 19 years now day in and day out. A lot of animatronics have suffered this fate and barely move anymore much like the ones on Disneys Dinosaur.
ap here! just rode for my first time last visit and had not bothered to do any reseach, and man i was surprised! this ride is criminally underrated in the coaster world, glad you made an episode!
As a 12 year old who lovesss social studies I will say this is one of the most interesting rides I’ve been on. All the ancient Egypt attractions and the ride itself is amazing!! Ty for making it sccurste
Hey Mike & Dylan, just wanted to give you some suggestions for rides you could cover in the next episode Here goes: - Kongfrontation - Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast - Shrek 4-D - Twister...Ride It Out! - Disaster - Jaws - Back to the Future: The Ride - Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster - The Funtastic World Of Hanna-Barbera - Dragon Challenge
There is a fake out where you go for the first bit and it's kind of cool and then it just stops at an abandoned fake "exit area" like where you got on the ride. And you're like thats it? That's where the floor falls out and you rapidly fall backwards into and insane experience. Best ride ever.
Honestly, one of the things I love about this ride other than it’s just a great time, is that this is pretty much the only bit of universal classic monsters that is still in the parks. The 1999 mummy film at this rate is based on was a remake of a 1933 classic monster movie of the same name. Since Universal took out classic monsters café, come on this currently is the only bit of a classic monsters that still exist in the parks until epic universe opens. Edit accidentally wrote 1989 instead of 1999. My bad
I remember going with my family when I was 7 or 8. I was just over 48 inches so I couldn’t ride the Incredible Hulk. Instead, my mom took me back to this ride to ride another two times after riding it our first day at the park. I’m going again in two days and I’m really hoping that this ride still lives up to my 7 or 8 year old memories even though it’s almost been a decade.
How was it? Was it as good as you remembered? I rode it for the first time 2 weeks ago and loved it. I usually avoid rollercoasters as I don't like drops but I gathered the courage to go on this and while I might've regretted my decision several times in the queue and a couple more times during the ride, I am so glad I went on it. It was such a fun ride. Probably my favourite ride I've ever been on.
@@HonestlyNoowin It was absolutely excellent. It actually broke down while we were on it but that just added to the experience because we could see the group behind us so we were just yelling at each other from like 20 feet away. plus the employees at that ride were so nice. I told on of the guys working that I liked his hat and he gave me a medjai
i started riding this ride when i was 6 everytime i ride it im so scared and then when we get off i ask "can we go again" lol im never gonna get rid of this ride
It's a little more intense than gringotts but that's due to how fast it goes + the fire and mummy animatronics. It's not very droppy, I would even say the drop on gringotts scared me more than the mummy when I was sitting all the way in the back. I think you'll like it!
Am only 8 I was tall enough to go on revenge on mummy but my brother said it was to scary for me so I didn’t go on it ): so am watching this to see what it’ was like ): ❤ 0:17
There was a lot less light on the ride back when it opened, but I heard they also had a lot of issues with people getting sick on ride then too. Not as exciting being able to see everything now....
No idea what you're talking about. The lighting hasn't changed that significantly. The ride's intensity hasn't changed at all, so if you got sick before, you still will.
Ok those lockers look super small, where are guest supposed to put their refillable cups between rides? If they have to go in the main lockers then there’s no point in buying refillable cups.
This ride isn't scary at all. My daughter thought it was scary because of the monsters and not the ride itself so if your kid is sensitive to horror scenes I would skip this ride. I thought Velocicoaster was absolutely terrifying and couldn't bring myself to ride any of water rides with drops. Also, we sat in the back and it was really rough on my back. Maybe opt for a seat closer to the front for a smoother ride.
LOL I mistakenly assumed that this dark ride was going to be like the Spiderman ride, so my sister and I were freaking out after the first drop. Had to hold onto my glasses for dear life
My absolute favorite ride!!! I can ride this over and over and over again and NEVER get tired of it!!
Are there any loops or corkscrews as such?
@@terencesdurag2823zero loops or corkscrews in Revenge of the Mummy, somehow more intense than Rock N Roller Coaster though
@@nathanr7599 Ok cool

And they had to limit the moves on purpose because of that.

When I first rode this ride my family and I thought it was a dark coaster but as soon as we went backwards I was like welp were dead
Best ride on the Universal side. Change my mind.

I'm such a big fan of the Ride Guys! It only took a few videos when they started doing this, they're so funny!

the ride is not scary folks, it’s more fun than scary. if you want scary you’ll wanna get on the velocicoaster
Ride Guys survived Velocicoaster, Incredible Hulk Coaster and a pharaoh's curse. They're immortal 💀💀💀
One of my favorite rides!
So...no one is going to talk about the fluffy cat? 🤣🤌
Will try riding this again one day at the Singapore version. Hope I wasn't as scared as I was during junior high!
Same layout as Florida's version, but the story is different. Also, Hollywood's version is shorter than Florida's
I’d love it if you guys would do a video on E.T. Adventure or Men in Black Alien Attack.
Dylan, u r cool! Mike holding the tiger made me crack up😊
The best part 0:49

Great review! Such a fun ride!
I love this ride
So Cool video!!! Cant wait ride it soon :D

PLEASE DO THE VOLCANO BAY DROP IN SLIDE THATS ON THE VOLCANO!!
@Universal Orlando Resort Please do Hulk next!
did you know The Mummy was originally going to be much longer? you didn’t? that’s cause that was a lie.
Ok those lockers look super small, where are guest supposed to put their refillable cups between rides? If they have to go in the main lockers then there’s no point in buying refillable cups.
u have to pour out ur drinks n put the cuos in horizontially but you can fit atleast 2 or 3 in one locker! they go far back
Please do the hulk Next it’s in my opinion the best ride in universal
@Universal Orlando Resort Hulk! Hulk! Hulk!
