Alisa, I really appreciate the way you allow Beckett to talk and go deep with his story! So many hosts interrupt their guests constantly and keep redirecting the conversation. Your approach is so refreshing and I'm looking forward to listening to more of your podcasts! #firsttimelistener

" I feel like the luckiest guy in the world because I know the King of the Universe" this is such a beautiful thing to say. Becket is so full of love it brings joy to me to listen him. A beautiful man of God!

I loved this. I've been a christian since I was 5 years old. This man is so refreshing. He has such a teachable spirit. There is so much infighting amongst christians and people in general right now but this testimony is like fresh rainfall. Jesus still saves. The simple gospel still works. I look forward to meeting you in heaven one day bro.

I think he voiced what I've been thinking (and too afraid to voice) about the gay community. Their sexuality is their only identity. Our entire world, it seems, is full of identity politics. If I'm not this, then what am I? As Christians, since we are to be in, not of, this world, our identity is in Christ, which will lead us to an eternity with our Father. Like he said about the Rich Young Ruler, and something my mom had been saying for years, we chose what we want to hang into in life. We choose what sins we are unable to give up.

I had the same experience as he had with the Bible. I was RCC for 40 years and barely read the Bible. It was like there were chains on it (or on me) and of course there WERE - spiritual chains. But once I was born again, the AUTHOR indwelled i.e the Holy Spirit whom Jesus promised would indwell true believers (John 14:16-17) and Paul affirms that without the Holy Spirit indwelling we do not belong to God (Romans 8:9b, 2 Corinthians 13:5), then it was like a veil was lifted, the light was on and it came ALIVE (Hebrews 4:12). I began reading it like it was written for 5 year olds: it was so easy to understand for me as the Author was guiding me (again as Jesus promised: John 14:26, 16:13) and I love it as much as I love Jesus. Awesome God!!!

His experience of the Bible becoming alive, "3-D" was my experience after I gave my life to Jesus, too. :) Even the Old Testament was amazing, it felt like Jesus was sitting right next to me, personally teaching me every time I opened it up!

This guy seems like a fun guy to hang out with! Also you can tell he’s a truly thoughtful and insightful person due to the fact that he thought deep about his life, despite the distractions the world loves to offer. Lots of people I know never like to think below the surface, but I find that the type of people who can’t help thinking about life in a deep way, find the truth and deeper meaning so much quicker because they have to understand everything deeper than the average person. They’re not satisfied by just the shallow elements of life.

Same experience with me and reading the Bible for the first time after conversion. I was a pastor’s kid too but didn’t really know what “gospel” meant. It’s like I knew there were folks in my church that were definitely sincere and different people from before Christ so I knew it was true but didn’t see it clearly. The Bible became 3-D - from zoning out as soon as my dad started preaching from it, to bring riveted and tearing through the New Testament and listening to this guy Rich Mullins and not understanding why I loved his music so much when he wasn’t actually the best vocalist. Jesus changed everything

I was so blessed by Beckett's testimony, and his encouragement for continuing to pray for my loved ones who are being pulled in this direction. A loving and sensitive interview; so thankful God introduced me to your ministry, Alisa! I have only been following a few weeks, but your background is very similar to my faith journey and has been hugely encouraging and affirming in my walk with Jesus. I have been sharing your podcast all over the place to family and friends. May God continue to bless your ministry and I will continue to remember to pray for you.

Thank you, Alisa ... thank you for bringing Becklet's incredible conversion to us! ... like you, I always "felt" a Christian from an early age ... to hear someone coming to the Lord like this is so powerful ... his "Road to Damascus" experience, as he explains. Hey ... thank you for your ministry ... it is impacting all who hear! _(Of course, it's the Holy Spirit through your ministry ... but God wants a willing vessel!)_

I heard you say before that you loved Jesus all your life and were “sort of jealous” of his salvation. I felt the same when I first heard him. I was baptized as a lcms Lutheran and had 9 years of such a special education in a Lutheran grade school. Hearing his compelling faith journey is just riveting . But I have to say that I later lazily took too much for granted. I raised a child who now as a adult says “I’m a scientist. I do t believe that anymore”. I pray for her daily. She was as a child so easy to believe she’d alway embrace Chirist and faith. And then her full academic full ride scholarship and National Merit scholarship falsely convinced me she had her act together. I feel I’ve lost her and pray daily for her. The world is a truly dangerous place. This Ives me hope that the kid who “always knew” isn’t to “smart” to learn again.

Thank you Alisa for the podcast it has truly blessed me to listen to Becker's awakening to his 'identity'.The culture does confuse our behaviour with our identity & it is only when the Holy Spirit fixes our eyes on the redemptive work on the cross that we like Isaiah can reconcile our unholy lives & our true identity as children of God & in doing so we 'return home.'

Don't wait for your "Damascus Road Experience." Not everyone gets one. Pray this simple prayer, "Dear God if you're out there, show ME the truth!" But remember, be careful what you pray for. Once you know the truth, you are responsible for it.

@Lilith so no abuse at all? By anyone?
And what exactly do you mean by "queer"?
Sorry just trying to make sure we're on the same page and I know definitions are changing all the time

I love your podcast - but it begs one question - why does Jesus not reveal himself the way he did with your guest ?
I have spoken with many atheists who say that they tried to make connection with the lord and they got nothing ..
Hence they gave up . Jesus needs to be more vocal with people

All Homosexuals have a choice, to "leave the lifestyle".
    And Biblically, they should.
Read ROMANS chapter 1, verses 26-28. But churches don't call out Sin anymore.
They might rationalize that "we are all guilty". But even if thats true, it doesn't mean we all keep silent.
Paul told Timothy to "reprove, rebuke and exhort." Two-thirds of that is negative. It will
likely "offend" people. But Paul wanted Timothy to do it anyway.
Likewise with preachers and bible-believing members today. Isnt there also another verse about "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness." Get a concordance and look it up. You probably need to get more in the word, anyway. If Satan is darkness and God is Light, why are so many Christians watered-down and grey?
