    Sorry if this is a dumb question. Did you try removing the burned Velcro backing and sticking the new Velcro strips on the already existing sanding plate? Your skills are impressive but I’m not as handy with a jigsaw as you are. I’m guessing just sticking on new Velcro didn’t work? I don’t want to waste time and money if I can help it! Thanks!

    Heat gun might help. Added benefit you can inhale the toxic glue fumes as you’re doing it! Worst that can happen is just dain brammage!
