AND you’re a believer?! Praise God. I cannot tell you, just in the short week I’ve been following you, how excited your work and beginning to watch your journey and where you’re at now, makes me! Thank you so much for what and how you share ♥️♥️♥️
I just wanted to encourage you. I found your videos on TikTok and immediately fell in love with your art. Your personality (from what I can tell haha) is super fun and extremely relatable to me! And I wanted to say thank you for posting about your business and what it’s like on the back end of things. Art is something I’ve been really wanting to get started in as a business and your videos make it actually seem achievable. So thank you for being real, and honest, and you!!
I would never know you had social anxiety. You are so fun and sociable on your IG and videos. I love that you give Jesus the glory. Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents.
Elvia B. haha yeah it’s because I’m basically talking to myself I guess. I love making videos and being on IG though because it gives me a place to be myself and connect with others-something that’s hard in real life. I’m fun, but you won’t know it in person because I’m silently freaking out all the time lol. working on it though
I just have to say: I found you on tiktok a couple weeks ago, and since, I have followed you on everything. You are truly inspiring and I’m sure you’re hearing that a lot right now, but you really ARE. Coming from someone who used to do this as a hobby, and always dreamed of going full-time, I really love your content. I appreciate how much you share, your processes, tools and your passion. I love my 9-5 job I have now, but I stopped creating because “I didn’t have time” or “I was too tired.” but you have officially inspired me to pick up my brush (and/or Apple Pencil) again and I haven’t had that motivation in over a year. Keep doing what you’re doing. You are so incredible and to be so young, and driven is amazing. Not to mention, I’m in Marketing now and you’re even doing a fantastic job at that. I don’t ever comment on things, but I had to let you know. You’re making an impact on people with your art (because you sure have for me) and I know that is what we all strive for. Thank you for sharing your talents. 🌻
Katie you have always been an inspiration to me. I have some of your art from way back when , it’s hanging in my living room. You are a younger version of me.. lol I’m a homebody too & don’t have to leave the house. I sew and sell on Etsy. Not good at social media, I’m 56 years old. I’ve learned so much and wish that I would have known when I was younger, didn’t have to please people my whole life and just be who I am. Glad you figured that early. 😊 glad you’re doing well, keep up the good work.
Okay, so I realize this video is 3+ years old, but I just discovered you a few months back on Facebook… the past month I realized you might have a RUclips channel, so I am now binging your old videos. I love your voiceovers and your art. This video has really put my life in perspective. Thank you! Giving God the glory for your talent and work is so refreshing to hear you share. Your story sounds a lot like mine… working with kids exhausts me, but I so deeply want to create art! I don’t even know where to start though. I have a lot to consider, and all of this content is great to help me start. Okay. That is all! Time to finish the video! 😉
As a preschool teacher I love this. I really do find it hard to find time for my art when I just come home and want to sleep lol. Your journey sounds amazing and its awesome that you've figured out how to work doing what you love
I can’t tell you enough how much you’ve inspired me & put my anxieties at ease about doing art full time & creating a business. The resources you have provided are a tremendous help! Also your voice is soothing to listen to. 😄 I found you on TikTok and then followed the bread crumb trail to your website, then to the FAQ section and then to the business supplies & materials on Amazon, saw the rest of the store front categories and put a bunch of stuff in my cart. Then came back to watch this video. I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders. Thank you, You are amazing! Keep doing what your doing! ❤️
I absolutely LOVE how you give credit to God. Got me teary at the end. I am trying to become an artist as well and it is a struggle. Still, I praise God for the skills he has given me ❤️ You’ve got a new sub here! Blessings!
This is the best advice video I’ve seen about starting an art business!!!!! All the other videos I’ve seen are really repetitive and show the same content over and over again. I love that your video here was so down-to-earth and gives a realistic idea of what building a business can include! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much!!!! I love how you bring glory to Jesus. He definitely put you right in my path to give me courage and direction. You are making a difference!
Katie, you are an amazing testimony of using our creative gifts to glorify God! Thank you for sharing this. It is really encouraging as an artist to think about the future and how to focus on our small art business.
Hi Katie, thank you for sharing so much information. I know this video was 2 yrs ago & you probably won't see this, but I'm going to leave a msg anyway. I appreciate this info so much. I work full time & have always used creativity as therapy. The last cpl yrs have been difficult for me due to some medical issues, but I can't quit my job. I have extremely low self esteem issues & so I disregard my artwork as something nobody would want. In the last few yrs I've given small pieces to co-workers as gifts & recieved compliments & encouragement which has helped my esteem issues some. I'm still afraid of complete strangers critiquing my art. I created a RUclips channel (no videos uploaded tho) but, my goal is to have 1 0r 2 in the next month. I would love to be able to quit my job & be able to have even a little bit of income. I am really happy that you have the support and encouragement from your family & sincerely pray for your continued success. Your art brings me so much happiness & your sweet outlook is refreshing. Take care!
I love how you mentioned God. This is how I feel with my art. He has given me my gift of art since I was a kid too. I didn't have a "thing" either. I loved to draw and then found the love of painting just recently as a mom. I love following you on Instagram.
I'm an art teacher and I totally agree that it is very difficult to come home and be creative after being with kids all day. I love your work. I think you are correct about not needing a college degree for what you want to do. As a high school art teacher I have told students who want to be 'an artist' that if they want to go to college then get a degree in business not art. Art degrees have little value unless you are getting a teaching certification OR you are going to go to an Art college so you can work for a big name company like Marvel or Pixar or Disney (fyi - you go there an pay for the connection not for the 'art' lessons).
Thanks for sharing. I find you and your journey really interesting and fascinating. I'm glad that there is social media that allows you to share with us. Because you have been blessed, you've been a blessing through your talent- that grew your business... along with hard work and persistence. Best wishes!
I’m so inspired by you! I also found you on tik tok and i truly believe it was Gods purpose for our paths to cross. I am currently in my second year of college and my current major is nursing, but i’ve always had a passion for art. I am in the process of changing majors to Art and i just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to follow through with something that makes me happy!
Wow it's like I'm talking to myself lol. I too struggle with social anxiety. I hope I can be successful with my own art very soon! I kinda started my art journey late(early 20s) and now I'm a mom :) I want to follow my art dreams and show my child that they can follow their dreams too and have my support 100% even if it's not a "real" job. I think it's great that your mom helps you and supports you with your business :)
Thanks for sharing your story💞 I've been following u on ig almost from the beginning, and it's been great to see u grow and find your niche. I remember that one crazy winter when u got overloaded with orders! Good for u for figuring things out, and what a blessing to have your Mom's help. I also have only so much energy for other people, so I understand. But, I'm a mama of 3 boys, and I do volunteer work, so I do have to step out of my comfort zone quite a bit, but also sure do enjoy home time. I'm a house cat for sure! 😄💟
Thank you for sharing your story and your process. It is truly inspiring!! Your art is so beautiful.... Both the flowers and the pets and everything in between. ❤️ Ella is so pretty and we all know she needs to approve all the designs before they go out 😆
Dude I am so in love with your tiktok videos so pumped to see you here :). Would love to see a video on how you film art videos! I make concrete decor and youve really inspired me to show more “behind the scenes” but like .... my god how
Thanks for sharing. So much great info. You're def a inspiration. I make gift boxes and work FT. Although I don't wanna stop my FT job I do wanna do lore w/ my side hustle. I follow you online and have bought an keychain. Can't wait to buy more. Stay blessed. XOXO
Thank you so much for making this video! I'm a stay at home mom of 3 kids and I paint at nap time and at night. I absolutely love it (both mom, and painting) and am trying to get past my "who going to want to buy my stuff" confidence dip. Which is kinda crazy cause painting boosted my confidence so I i don't know how that all works....BUT you're AMAZING and so fun to watch!! Thank you again for this video and I'm definitely going to try getting my art on Redbubble and casetify..see how that goes!! Thanks again!!
I totally relate to the social anxiety part! Me too! Your art is beautiful! I love the colours you use. I have always been crafty and loved art but have never really focused on it until this year! Maybe I can learn from you how to turn my passion into a career! Cute kitty too!
This video was truly inspiring! First of all, I appreciate that you give all the glory to God. I think that is super important and not always easy to share on a public platform. Always keep Him first! I found your videos on TikTok and I’m so glad I did. I love every one I’ve watched, and now follow you on IG and YT. It has always been my dream to have a side business and one day a full time business selling my art. You gave some great tips and suggestions and encouragement. Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing your personal story!! I'm a new subscriber and recently followed you on TikTok and Insta!! Keep spreading love into the world! You are amazing 💕

I saw your tik tok and I found my long lost art-mate soul? Haha! We create similar things, but I love your style and I just wanted to say how inspired I am by you! It is a dream of mine to be a full time artist, but not for a few years. I love all your videos and your kitties! Thank you for sharing web tips. I feel like I am clueless about these things and I just need someone to explain it to me! Love your videos and personality! I have anxiety as well and I wish I could stay home all day! ❤️
May be jumping the gun bc I haven’t finished watching but what tech do you use? Like on your tablet/ iPad. I need something to draw and do notes and diagrams for med school. On your tiktok and you use the tablet tool to do some of those and to design.
Sorry if you covered this and I misunderstood, but do you order the stickers you sell from Vista print as well or do you print them yourself? Thank you so much I found you on TikTok and I LOVE all your work!
I have been trying so damn hard to teach myself how to make these types of paintings! it looks amazingly fun and i really would love getting a tutorial/How to? I cannot for the life of me get it to look nice. HeLLppP
Do you live with anyone? Where do you live? Is your art stuff in your bedroom or do you have a home studio? I live in a high cost of living area, and the idea of EVER having an extra room just to work in is, like... a ridiculous pipe dream.
Jessie Shuby yes! I have a redbubble and the artist gets a small percentage of the total cost of the product. However, it takes a really long time to start making money because you need to make a certain amount in sales before getting paid.
College isn't always about getting a job. I had an amazing office job at a billion dollar company, but quit because I wanted to go back to school. A degree is required for the vast majority of jobs not because it shows you're "smarter" than those who don't, but because you gain life skills, resources, self management, social skills, network connections, adaptability, etc. What if you went to art school and took a couple classes at a time so you could still be working on your business at the same time growing your skills and getting better? Are you satisfied doing what you're doing for the rest of your life? Will this niche last forever?
She literally answers all these questions in this video. School isn't for everyone and never will be. She's making the point that not everyone has to go to school. MANY successful people didn't go to college or university. So you do you and let others do them.
@@brendavawter And I'm saying she seems pretty young to have made up her mind. Maybe there's more to consider. Part of "you do you" is being ok with other people sharing their own experience and challenge information. That's what I did here. Are you trying to tell me not to speak positively about my college experience?
AND you’re a believer?! Praise God. I cannot tell you, just in the short week I’ve been following you, how excited your work and beginning to watch your journey and where you’re at now, makes me! Thank you so much for what and how you share ♥️♥️♥️

I am just so inspired by you! You are killing it at what you do!
Watching ur videos wants me to start a small art business I really wish to meet u to learn more about your paintings skills
Where do you get your journals made? Im looking into starting my own art business and I can't find any information anywhere!
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your story. You have done a wonderful job building your business!
First off i just wanted to say that you are so incredibly beautiful, I love your eyes. Second I found you off of tik too and you make me want to start a business which is something I always wanted to do but always second guessed myself because I didn't know how or felt like i'd succeed.
She is absolutely beautiful, and her artwork is so cute! I've thought about prints of my work and have searched around but I can't seem to find the right place to get them done. Tips on that would be great!
i know this comment is old, but you can get prints done at a lot of stores like meijer, walgreens, etc! thats the easiest way when youre just starting since you don't need bulk quantities!
So thrilled you posted this!!!!
Thank you for this, you are an absolute inspiration!!
This was so helpful. Thank you for sharing your story! Glad to follow you and your work :]
Oooh, calling it your "focus" is so good. I'm still looking for mine, hopefully one day 😅 Nothing has really clicked yet in me
Love your advice😍🤩 Thank you for making this video!
Here from TikTok and have to say I'm obsessed with your work. Extremely sad I'm in Aus though and can't purchase 😥

Amen Hun, your telling alot of my story too.
Hey luv the video I’m a young artist and this was inspiring 💙
How do you get your prints on different mediums like notebooks?
Thanks for sharing! I can totally relate to your story :) and found it very encouraging.
I heart you forever, thank you so much!
You're really pretty 😍
You can have your physical store and hire people to work at it. That way you can focus only on creating and selling online.
I love your art and hope to be where you are some day!
Hannah Newberry thank you!!💗
Wow so cool glad to hear your story 🥰
haha I heard Ella and thought it was my cats killing eachother.
I've started to work as an artist and did some selling but right now it's getting hard to find new clients...
What sticker paper do you use for your prints? :)
What do you use to make your sticker 😊😊💕
I love your art and I love painting!! what acrylic paint do you use? I keep looking on the amazon list and I cant find it:(
May be jumping the gun bc I haven’t finished watching but what tech do you use? Like on your tablet/ iPad. I need something to draw and do notes and diagrams for med school. On your tiktok and you use the tablet tool to do some of those and to design.
You‘re so pretty
Sorry if you covered this and I misunderstood, but do you order the stickers you sell from Vista print as well or do you print them yourself? Thank you so much I found you on TikTok and I LOVE all your work!
Thank you for this. I feel like I’m being stopped financially by my passion but I’m ready to risk everything before it’s too late. :)
I have been trying so damn hard to teach myself how to make these types of paintings! it looks amazingly fun and i really would love getting a tutorial/How to? I cannot for the life of me get it to look nice. HeLLppP
What DPI/size of canvas do you use for redbubble and casetify? Do you use transparent background or colored?
Please do mango
Do you live with anyone? Where do you live? Is your art stuff in your bedroom or do you have a home studio?
I live in a high cost of living area, and the idea of EVER having an extra room just to work in is, like... a ridiculous pipe dream.
What kind of website did you use like how did you create it how much does it cost to be what you are
Gacha Łív I use Shopify! Price depends on the features you want and the diff. options👍🏻
Thank you!
I like how she's so religious ❤️
I love everything about this!! You're amazing!
what program do you use?? :c
U always reminds me of katnip... I love u 😘❤️
your eyes are so blue in this video
I think being inspired by another artist isn’t a bad thing.
Super random. But how do you record your Tik Tok voiceovers??
Emily Joan I use the app InShot! You press the music button once in the app and then “record”👍🏻
Your mic volume is so low...you are not that audible...please speak louder....👍
Shahina Shahab yeah I don’t have audio figured out but I just figured that people have the amazing feature where they can turn up the volume lol
watching over a year later...hope you got some therapy for your social anxiety!
Can you make money off of Redbubble?
Lost me at god.
Thank you Kate, I love your authenticity and your deep dedication (apart from your art of course :)) ♥️
