They were actually with the dinosaur(Kaiju) overlord ZeeZee and we can see the shadow of Lucifer in the room as well.
Yeah I am a huge fan of Morgan and Elijah! And I assumed Elijah would have picked up on Vaggie pretty quickly cause she tends to notice the smaller details. X

Things we've learned from 'Respectless': Velvette is arrogant, loud and boastful, but she's also clever. She noticed Carmilla's reaction and figured out quickly how to get a reaction out of her. She definitely found out a lot from it. Some reckon that it means that she's underrated and needs to be watched. Some reckon it also shows that she's careless and reckless - because she antagonised and insulted a lot of powerful overlords including the oldest and strongest one in the room just for one or two pieces of information. Alastor notices how people react to things and can tell when something requires more investigation - I think that's one of the ways he gets power, he's good at figuring out what people are concerned about and figures out how he can use it. Zestial also notices things. We saw that much from the look he gave Alastor when he said he'd just taken "a well-earned sabbatical". And he knows when to say what. Plus, he doesn't get emotional - though we could tell from the sort of soft rattle we heard when he looked at Velvette that he was getting angry. If the people setting themselves on fire out of fear of him wasn't enough of a warning (and even Alastor looked tense when he first showed up though he hid it as they were chatting), we know he's someone to be.........cautious around.
There was a small but passionate subset of fans that believed the Vaggie’s-an-angel theory prior to the show, including me. So you’re definitely not alone!

We know from the pilot that Alastor was toppling overlords who'd been around for centuries. I guess if the people screaming and running as soon as they saw him didn't give us enough of a hint, the fact that Alastor couldn't topple him/didn't try to topple him tells us enough of how powerful he is.
