as if it already was'nt bad enough that What 20th Century Fox are being lined up with Disney, I dont wanna think of Disney whenever i watch Ice Age or... Anything else Fox made.
And just to give you an update, it’s now official! Disney now owns 20th Century Fox. I hope you should do an updated version of the “Logo Corner” episode 1 to give you an update. This is BIG news!!!!! Thanks to Disney for taking over Fox, and now the studio is now part of the Disney family along with Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm.
Now that you just seen this, guess what! 20th Century Fox is no more! Thanks to Disney for getting rid of the “Fox” name, and don’t call it “20th Century Fox” anymore. It’s now rebranded as 20th Century Studios as Disney announced this week. You should do an update episode of the “Logo Corner” about Disney buying Fox and the demise of 20th Century Fox in episode 1.5 soon.
MTN Productions well, everyone keeps thinking that 20th century Studios is different from TCF, it’s the same studio, just under a new name. Plus, the reason why Disney renamed TCF and Fox Searchlight Pictures to 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures was because they didn’t want to confuse them with Fox Corporation.
@@AlexPerrine Plus, after the name changing, the company was still LEGALLY known by "Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation" for a bit, but now it is 20th Century Studios, Inc.
As for the music itself, it featured this classic fanfare. I got this on vinyl very recently called "The Story of 'Star Wars'", and when I played this record, but surprisedly enough, at the very beginning of the record, the "20th Century Fox Fanfare" was played right up until Roscoe Lee Browne, the narrator for this album says "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. A new adventure takes place." That was kinda odd to hear the "20th Century Fox Fanfare" played on the "Story of 'Star Wars'". As you can tell by this logo, did they had a record label? Yes it does. Fox had its own record label going back to the 50's when it was originally 20th Fox, and then 20th Century Fox Records and the. 20th Century and finally back to 20th Century Fox Records. The record label had a few design changes over the years. By 1977, the label did redesigned where it showed a striking resemblance to the familiar 20th Century Fox logo with the word "Records" at the bottom, how strange.
I’m surprised that X-Men: Days of Future Past was omitted from here; because of how the X2 Theme is used during the main titles. Also The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was left out as a variant. But I like how you honored The Cannonball Run. That was the first time I had seen a variant of a film logo ever.

I miss you 😢, PLEASE do more. There are some major updates for what happen to the studios especially 20th Century Fox
This got me fascinated as well, though to me it's pretty much in the vein of a couple of my favorite series here on this site, which is Mat Brunet's Animation Lookback and John Hess's Filmmaker IQ.
I think that Fox, MGM, Viacom (now ViacomCBS), WarnerMedia (formally TimeWarner), Comcast, Sony, Disney and Others should learn that, all videos, ytps or not, should always be on RUclips. Even if it violates their copyright.
Updates: Fox is owned by Disney now, and has been since 2019 (the most obvious change since the six years this comment has existed) MGM is now owned by Amazon Viacom(CBS) is now Paramount Global WarnerMedia/TimeWarner merged with Discovery to form Warner Bros. Discovery. Too many examples of other changes to count here.
I have to say, as an aspiring graphic artist and logo enthusiast since childhood, I think I'm going to enjoy this series. 20th Century Fox is one of those logos that, like you said, remained pretty much unchanged since its initial design, while other companies would try doing something more stylized in the 60s/70s, like Warner Bros. and that odd Big W or MGM using the logo from their record company in lieu of the live action lion in some movies (2001 A Space Odyssey does this) before going back to their more recognizable designs in the 80s (70s in MGM's case) My question is would you be covering TV and home video logos too?
In the light of the recent purchase of 21st Century Fox by Disney, it will definitely be time for a change. I'm thinking 21st Century, 21st Century Entertainment, or 21st Century Disney, if merged with Disney's live action division.
Great video as always, but I believe you should have mentioned the variant that appears at the start of Alien 3, where the fanfare kinda 'freezes' toward the end and starts playing a mix of trombones and horns, which is fitting, considering the movie's dark tone.
I always find this Logo so Iconic. It sucks I wasn't born in the 70's or 80's because those were the years of the special variants. Ex. Paramounts (kinda) CGI era. Columbias Sunburst. Universals classic zooming globe. 20th Century Foxs famous variant. Disneys most recognizable logo, (The boring blue background ;-;). I don't know about MGM or Warner bros. though... I think the Warner Bros was still in the Weird Era. I think MGM actually brought back Lea. I don't remember though.
I'm a little sad...You didn't talk about the one from Rocky Horror Picture Show which didn't have its traditional Fanfare it had more of a Show-tune style revamp!!
You do forgot that in 1997 David Newman re-recorded the 20th Century Fox fanfare to reopen their scoring stage called "The Newman Scoring Stage" originally named as Fox Scoring.
Hi.. me agin... if you are still reading these comments, which you probely are not.. but ill ask anyway... just in case. Will we be hearing any comment from you on how Disney bought out Fox..and not to mention TOOK OVER THE ENTIRE STAR WARS FRANCHISE?! I have an idea for a title of that video: "How the mouse killed the fox"
I watched all of them, enjoyed them all. I just wish that you could do more of them, especially the cartoon animation companies like Filmation and the logos. I don't have a you tube page, but I have a Facebook, and Twitter page. DM me.
+NealSadhaka Of course. I thought it was amusing to hear Ralph Wiggum humming the additional padding that was introduced in 1953, which I thought was interesting to find out it was originally intended for the sake of being played over the CinemaScope reminder when that aspect ratio was introduced at that point.

This is why I hate Disney- they buy things, then renames them in the hopes that people won't know what it originally was.

The pitch shifting is just because you've used sped-up 50Hz sources from PAL-region video. It's never projected at that speed in cinemas.
