Be still and watch the Lord’s victory
Amen!!
Wouldn't it be amazing if we as a nation were so faithful and trusting in the God who established us as a nation that we would would lead out to battle with worship like they did in this battle! Wow! I loved watching how God fought their battle for them....sounds like this message is screaming to us to STOP removing Him and allow Him to cleanse our land from all that is wicked and evil.
Yes, and my response to our cultural infidelity is to encourage groups and campuses in our church to become habitual Bible readers through TBR. Revival begins when God’s people turn to His word.
100%. Exactly what I thought!
Yessssss America was founded on the belief and worship of God. We were blessed. Unfortunately we have come so FAR away from Him. 😢 Destruction will follow
Amen 🙌🙏
Or the rapture! I am so up for a rapture. Our world is so wicked.
GOD has always been a part of HIS creation and in control praise GOD all MIGHTY
Jehoshaphat’s army shows that worship precedes victory-and it’s God Himself who fights our battles. “I know the battle is Yours/ All we have to do is start singing Your name/ And the enemy runs away”
My God shot was also in jehoshaphat's prayer everyday I send Bible verses to my friends and family and when hurricane Helene first hit us I used the line from this prayer, "Lord we don't know what to do but our eyes are on you!" And having him at the center focus of things helped us to get through and even bless and help other people God is always faithful and true to his word!!💖
20:12, "We do not know what to do, but we look to you.", resonated with me as well.
I have a Women's Study Bible. It is amazing and brings out characters that we don't think about or notice when we read. This reading brings about a character named Jehoshabeath (Jehosheba). She was Ahaziah's sister. She may have been the daughter of Athaliah, but more likely Jehoram's daughter by an unrecorded wife. She was the wife Jehoiada, a true priest of God and that she herself was faithful to God. Jehoshabeah became aware of the need to rescue Joash from death. The temple afforded her a safe place to keep Joash so he could be prepared to be king. Jehoshabeah became God's instrument in saving Joash. This is in keeping God's plan to keep His promise that a son of David would aways be king and part of the lineage of the Messiah. Interesting!!
What the name of this women's Bible study. I would love to Buy one. Info on how to get it would greatly Be appreciated. Thanks
We don't know what to do but our eyes are on You 💕
Loved this! “Plan A is to trust God. There is no plan B.”
What a saga! But, I saw God's faithfulness in today's reading. He promised David that there would be kings in his lineage. He could have completely busted up Israel, but He left a remnant in Judah. There were wicked kings, like Jehoram, but there were some that were faithful. What stood out was when the Ammonites and Moabites came up against Judah, and Jehoshaphat sought the Lord in prayer, and he also commanded Judah to fast and pray. God heard their prayers and gave them victory. This was a wonderful reminder to me that in everything, seek God. He will stand up for me.
Following God is the only plan. No plan B!
2 Chronicles 20:6-12
Jehoshaphat’s prayer is probably one of my favorite prayers written in the Bible.
It’s both dangerous and beautiful at the same time.
Blessings!
Yes, focus our eyes on God. He delivers us from our enemies, situations, bad habits, more. Trust plan A only.
“You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand FIRM, HOLD your position, and SEE the SALVATION of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do NOT be AFRAID and do NOT be DISMAYED. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.””
2 Chronicles 20:17 ESV
🙏🙌🏻🙏
I love that God Shot. There is no plan B. Just Trust God!
"Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged...For the battle is not yours, but God's" (2 Ch 20:15b).
Amen!!!!
"Plan A is to trust God, there's no plan B" TLC 😅
I loved how Jehoshaphat trusted and worshipped God at every point in time. My God-shot for today was from 20:32; just as it was said of David that he turned not from God, we see here mentioned that Asa did what was right in the sight of God (even though we saw that he didn't finish well). God definitely overlooks our shortcomings! And He extends mercy and grace to His chosen. Secondly, what people say and what God says of you are two entirely different things. Choose to go for God's opinion of you!
Meanwhile 23:21 reminds me of the Proverbs that says "when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice but when the wicked rule, the people mourn"; I could bet the people had mourned for 6 years and couldn't wait for Athaliah's death so that another takes over, or at least a righteous person takes over. Their rejoicing was truly worth the wait.
Yes! I made the same connection!
“This is how I fight my battles,” says Jehoshaphat: admit your fear, confess your complete reliance on the Lord, call those you know to pray and worship and ask Him for help, and then go into the conflict knowing that it is not you, but the Lord Who will fight and win. “And at the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Moab, Ammon, and Mount Sier to fight among themselves” (2 Chron 20:22)! This is how we fight our battles…with worship!

Good morning beautiful bible readers Family ❤❤❤ enjoying the journey in the Word of God and the informative Recap!! continue to have a blessed day in His Presence ❤️❤️ 🙏🙏
“And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.”
2 Chronicles 20:15 ESV
I love that no matter how big or small the battle is due to God’s love and grace we will always have him on our side. God is GOOD!
God bless y’all!
Jehosaphat's seeking of God reminds me of President Bukele in El Salvador. He gives credit to God working a miracle to turn his country around from being the most dangerous in the world. May He be better than the king's of old and stay faithful to The Lord whose wisdom he seeks in prayer to lead his country. AMEN
Wow! Today's reading was action packed!
My God shot was in the commands to the judges and leaders Jehosaphat set up. God is just and loves to help leaders rule with integrity! It takes courage to stand up against a system of corruption and lies. Let us pray that God will raise up leaders who will deal with those areas in our own legal system and law enforcement system! Oh to have a godly leader who urges those under him to have courage and integrity!
Yes Lord please
And to call all the people to bow down in prayer to the One True LORD!
I'm writing this response nearly a year later and right now things are looking very dim as far as the race for who will be president. Very sad for our country. I think maybe this is the beginning of the downfall of our once great country, and everything going on here today explains why we are not mentioned in the end times in the bible.
Amen TLC!
The good Kings of Judah did not win battles because of brilliant military strategies, but by the Lord's involvement, solicited by prayer.
Trust God. Amen
Amen 🙏 🙌🏻🙏
The battle is not ours it is the Lord’s Hallelujah 🙌🏽
King Jehosophat when faced with an army coming to kill them turned to the Lord.
He said led the people in worship and directed their hearts to God.
He waited and trusted in God. He said our eyes are on YOU.
There was no plan B.
This kind of faith moves God. God saved the people and they didn’t have to do a thing.
This is the same God we serve today!

💡…there’s no plan B…I love it!! ❤
Awesome!!!!!
See what happens when someone marries the wrong woman! All were warned about uniting outside the faith, which evil practices are always the downfall. 😊
After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to wage war against Jehoshaphat. Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. The people of Judah came together to seek help from the Lord; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him. He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’ ” The fear of God came on all the surrounding kingdoms when they heard how the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel. And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.
