I was informed to ...NEVER push or pull the Objectives, use Revolving Nose Piece or Turret rather than the Objective Lenses in order to rotate from one Objective to the next. Knowledge learned at University Microscopy studies... thx for doing the video :) I found it very informative.
thanks for the video. just bought mine, I haven't unboxed it yet. going to get it up and running tomorrow. what is the coolest/strangest thing you have viewed with your microscope?
Are these still relevant now or are they fairly obsolete? I've been seeing cheap blue box ones on like Ali express people are swearing by and there supposedly 48mp.. I'm just wondering why these omax are so much money still comparatively..
Thanks for posting this! I got mine today and while the images I get in the microscope are great, the ones I get on my computer are blurry. How do you get them sharp? I'm missing something but I don't know what it is: is it something in the software or in the microscope? also, I only get to see the image in the computer if I press "snap", not "live" as shown on your video. Thank you!
@telma I'm thinking you might have to adjust the tube your camera is sitting on. It's threaded into the microscope body. I would pull a camera out just enough so the O-ring disengages with the tube, Then gently turn the true one way or the other 1/2 to a full turn to start. Then push the camera back down onto the tube and see if you got an increase or decrease and image quality. If it's worse, twist tube the other way until your image quality, eyepiece to computer screen match.
@@riderinsanjose337 Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it, regardless how long it's been since I asked the question. It's hard to believe I got this microscope 7 years ago! I still use it on a weekly basis. I got the adapter for smartphones about 6 years ago and I use my phone to take the pictures. In my opinion, they're higher quality and earlier to share. Thank you again!
I got mine at auction so had no paperwork. How do you get the camera to work on your pc? Do you need to download a specific program to the pc or do you just need to download a driver?
I tried the video feature for the first time today as I've only had my scope 3 days and my entire image although excellent quality is orange?....how did you get your green image? how do you have your software set up?....or are you using a filter?oh ok, I just played around and I had the brightness of the bulb too low :-)
how can i change the measurement of our microscope (same brand and almost same model) I wanted to used (um) but the "px" is always showing though we change it already. HOW?please help us.
Did you have any trouble loading the drivers for the camera? I can get most functions to work with mine including taking the picture, watching video, I am having issues with the red, green and blue colour adjustments appearing to do nothing and I cannot get rid of the overall orange tint to my video and images......how do you get the green tint?
all that does is brighten the image, it doesn't change the colour of the image itself, it eventually gets to the point where it blows all the detail out of the image and becomes white, everything under the adjustment tab works fine except the red, blue and green sliders....Are you operating with the Microsoft camera driver or the one supplied from Omax?....when you look at the driver for the camera in the device manager settings, what does it tell you?I see you have a nice green image on the screen.....I want one of those lolI have the halogen lamp version and you have the L.E.D version, I think that's the only difference.
Hello and thank you very much for the information. I have a question. On the screen of my laptop I can see only small part of what I see on microscope. Do yiu have any idea how i can see all of the vision? Thank you very much.
Maybe, special adaptor will help you. Try to know size of sensor in your camera. Sensors 1/4" and 1/3" use adaptor with magnification (multiplication) 0.3X. For sensors 1/1.8", 1/2" - 0.5X, for 2/3" - 0.7Х or 0.75X, and for sensor 1" - 1Х adaptor. Usually, these adapters are attached to the camera using c-mount or cs-mount. In any case, the biggest picture you can get is a rectangle inscribed in the circle of the field of view of eyepiece (without dark edges in the image).
Hi man! Do you have videos that u can share with us of what you have seen from your microscope ? or pictures to share with us. Im planning to buy similiar to yours but have not seen output images of it Greetings
Hi, nice video. But the maximum useful magnification of a objective its NA value multiplied by 1000. In the case of the 100X target, NA1.25, its maximum useful magnification is 1250X so it is absurd to say that it achieves (useful) increases of 2000
I am interested in getting a omax microscope (p/n:CS-M837ZL-C140U) to use as a camera to take a high resolution photo for small SMD LED. Size is 1.0x0.5x0.5mm (LxWxH). Based on your experience, do you think the omax microscope fulfill the purpose? Appreciate your opinion.
+mimifrank228 The digital camera that came with my microscope is only a 5MP camera. I would consider that a hobbyist resolution. Plus, with the light source for the microscope only coming from beneath the slide tray you would probably need to use a secondary light source to shine down onto the slide try to properly light up the LED (assuming that it isn't completely transparent).
@@mattkeith74 I got this one but I pay 600 www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SGCEJYC?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title probably because is an dark-field because I need to look at blood?

But unfortunately, I've recently realized that the page briefly mentions that the camera is sold separately. I've looked at the pdf from the manufacturer's website and it briefly mentions an optional camera, with a picture of a cylindrical device that fits into the eye piece. Unfortunately, the pdf does not make a recommendation on type of camera. What brand would you recommend for a camera specifically designed for this?
I did thoroughly read the description of the product. I bought it before coming to this video. I just assumed that the microscope in the video was the same as the one that I got, but with a detachable camera on top. It's fine though, they still sell a camera that goes into the eyepiece.

How you liking your Microscope after 3 years?
its ok
How do you get the picture on the computer ( snap shot) to be clear when using the OMAX 5MP. you did not answer Telma's post
thanks for the video. just bought mine, I haven't unboxed it yet. going to get it up and running tomorrow.
what is the coolest/strangest thing you have viewed with your microscope?
probably some protozoa that was found in a puddle of water from the backyard.
I read on the reviews that the camera is black and white it's not even near 5MB but somewhere near 0.5MB.
