I just subscribed upon seeing this!
Thanks. I hope you enjoy my monster shop,
I really like the technique...but could you do one with voice over so i know what materials and processes you're using? I know it sounds silly but this one of those situation that I really want to try this, but i need the instructions as well as the visuals
I find my videos with voice over get less views... but I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the materials.
Thank you! I want to use this technique to make a Muppet head and a freddy worm puppet!
I've been thinking about making a Freddy worm... using this technique for the head, and then just a flat latex sheet, rolled over the forearm to make the body. Truth is, I'm just lazy and don't like making multi-part molds.
It’s amazing! Your talent and skill are incredible. Thank you for sharing this!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
What clay are you using buddy?
I have a very difficult idea and this seems much better than making it from foam.
You can also make as many as you want which i love!
Secondary question, how did you go about making it the right size for your hand?
I'm using regular plastiline clay to sculpt it... and I just sculpt it big enough to fit my hand.
RANDOM POP UP!!..? HAHA REALLY FN COOL AND AWESOME JOB! ..I remember that movie .SUPER SICK!!!
Good to hear that RUclips is sending my content out to new people. Hope you enjoyed the video.
is it liquid latex rubber? Amazing video
Yes, liquid latex rubber. And thanks.
What is that cloth thing you were pressing on the clay?
That's a silicone texture stamp. Here's a video on how to make one with latex, from an orange. ruclips.net/video/Bs3JaC-HwFc/видео.html
What type of latex and clay did you use?
latex is monster makers rd 407... clay is just plastina.
Love the video. I too would like a list of all the materials used. 🙏👍
latex, cheap fake fur fabric, acrylic paint, clay and plaster cement, some contact cement glue.
@@DarkNookShop Thank you so much. 🙏👍
I have been looking for a tutorial like this for a good long while.Well done, you did an excellent job Dark Nook.
Thanks... there are better ways to do this, using a 2 piece mold... and molding the hands separately... But I wanted to see if I could do it with just a one piece mold.
You are welcome Dark Nook. You actually did a pretty good job, trying things out and experimenting is part of the artistic process.
Cool, i made a Critter to

You're seriously inspiring too many ideas in me. I can't afford everything I want to do now. 😅
Most of the stuff I do is pretty cheap to make.
Dude, you just inspire me to keep pushing to learn sculpting and for that Im so thankful,
Awesome, glad to hear it... have you seen my whole mask making series? There's a playlist.

thanks
Very nice work! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks... really liked how this one turned out.
For future reference, you can add gauze bandage, burlap to reinforce your molds.
Oh I know... but that would not have helped with this one.. the mix was off and I overcompensated and that made it weak. At the point I realized it was setting too fast I had to sacrifice mold strength, to thin it out enough to capture surface detail. And it worked.
I always use plaster bandage on all my molds as the bandages make for a stronger mold.
