I’m getting this mouse for my birthday and I was a bit uneasy when picking it as my present since it was old, but now I’m convinced that I’m gonna have a great time with this mouse, thank you for the awesome review!
FUN FACT: the charging dock isnt the problem the design of the underside of the mouse prevents the charging dock pins to allign properly so all u need to do is put somethingagainst the mouse so that the pins allign and if u have problems with the battery that show that its stuck at some some percentage just reinstall the drivers and software most of the time it is charging
I still use my Viper Ultimate many hours every day for years now across gaming PC and Mac video work. Totally love it. I also have the charging dock issue every now and then. However, all I do is scratch the copper connectors on the underside of the mouse and everything works fine for another year or so. I thought it was alignment at first but it's definitely connectivity due to wear. All good for me. Great video summary BTW.
The question of double-clicking/failing switches is of key concern for me now. I own two highly regarded Logitech mice (G903 and G502 base version) and they both developed the double clicking issue. This is something that may not become a problem for a few years, until it finally does and then it essentially makes the mouse useless at gaming.
I want to see if I can modify mine to be lighter, and replacing the rubber grips on the side with that Shark skin stuff that you get on Samurai swords, would be pretty cool.
Great video and informative, just picked up one off Amazon because I had one before and held up very well, a trade off with a lot of the newer models is build quality…after a bad experience recently with a newer model (from razer and Logitech) I decided to go back to old reliable for the features and overall value.
Rather use my viper ultimate cyberpunk edition that buying the new versions. Has cool rgb, cool dock and way cheaper. In fact just ordered a white one so I'll have 2
if you want something that works every day, get a Toyota. If you want something that looks awesome but comes with problems, get a Lambo. This isn't about cars 😂
I love the Viper, but then i discovered the excellent Logitech G304. Thanks Logitech for your only good mouse which is not overpriced. You can continue to sell mice costing a thousand dollars with plumbing, heating and bright led's to the gaming crowd. I am happy you left the G304 out of it. And big thanks for using replaceable batteries so i can keep my desk wire free. Yes, like all great mice of today, your left click will double left click. I have to live with it. Tip to newbie gamers : Your skill matters, not the laser on the mouse. See you on the battlefield.
@@JosellClark your broken dock fits the bad reviews , you can find instructions to fix it, it wouldve been really valuable if you tried to fix it in this video! because now you say you didn't experience any problems ever-since you bought it , is kind of untrue, no? I like that it is available in pink and the left-hand buttons are great but ... this dock is my worry to buy it, and the two day battery is why it's so light weight but two days means a good working charging dock is really necessary you know what I mean? 😊

bruh it's still an awesome mouse! I just don't like the charging cable it uses 😂

thanks for the tip man I'll keep note of that!
Cleaning the mouse pins with cotton earbuds dipped in alcohol fixed the issue for me.

Just got one because my Logitech G703 was shorting itself and almost burned the house down. That's a good reason to give a different brand a try
woah that's crazy. Didn't know that was possible. Gladly you are safe and with a better brand now 🫶
@@JosellClark thanks man! Worn out microUSB ports can do this when you charge apparently, but this one has a dock hahaha
also me having a g703
@@blackr-win7195 I think it's more of a micro usb port issue. If it feels worn out I'd be cautious

Viper Ultimate is so good bro! I tried the new vipers but this one is still my favorite 😩
Some (me) would say there is one key advantage to buying older mice: lots of owners sharing their experience with it after years of use

the older Logitech models have that issue but I think the new models doesn't have it anymore. Never had that issue with old Razer models though
Outclass content bro! We need more setup tours tho
thanks man! Absolutely will do more 👌
I want to see if I can modify mine to be lighter, and replacing the rubber grips on the side with that Shark skin stuff that you get on Samurai swords, would be pretty cool.
Bro let me know if you find replacement grips that sounds cool 😩

you can't go wrong with the Viper Ultimate 💪
Having four side buttons and its ambi nature make it my preferred mouse for my left handed style
It’s a great mouse! 😩

the OG viper ultimate is indeed the coolest one still!
@@JosellClark Amen!
hi, i need to plug in the dock right in pc for the software to recognise it? or is doesnt matter where i plug in, in a pc port or in an outlet?
hey man you need to plug it to your pc. The dock has the storage for the dongle as well 👍
ur the best bro :)
no, u bro 🫶
Hey, Filipino here. Any tips where to buy this at that price?
Edit: Nvm. Just saw your affiliate link. Thanks!
my quartz charging dock stopped working and i cant order a replacement unless its the black one x.x
aw dang, you can perhaps spray paint it quartz 😂
as someone who is using a g502 with ALL the weights in, this mice is gonna feel like a feather when it arrives 😂
It will bro have fun with it!
my logitech aereal with disconnections, problems with 4gz since first week and lot of rgb and this guy nah this only works for 3 days lol

should i get this or the model O
I mean the Model O is great too but if it's up to me I'd still go for Razer. Their switches are pretty much the best right now
Used ultimate a 1.5 year but the death adder V3 pro more better for me in shooters. Viper comfortable for Dota and another non aim games
I removed right side buttons and RGB cone, used with glass feet. Real heavy mouse if compare with death adder
DAV 3 is so good bro but I miss the awesome look and glow of the Viper Ultimate 😩
@@JosellClark it looks really cool in setup. The saddest thing that she staying like decor for look
I always watch your video's bro it really convince me to buy this amazing mouse, welcome me in the snake community. :)

G304 is the mouse of choice of some of my friends and I don’t blame em. It’s a good mouse!
Just clean it
lol I did but people say there's a specific way of cleaning it
