LOL its all good brother! The Best 3D program is the one you are the most comfortable with. I use 3ds Max because I code in it, makes life ALOT easier.

Talk about The Expanse! I read these books back when I was in middle school and kept reading the newest one as they come out. The Sci-Fi show does a good job at capturing the feel.
I'm almost done reading book 1!! It's REALLY good!! I'm so excited I have so many more books in the series to continue with. I'm sure it was cool growing up with them coming out periodically.
SirWrender the style is very reminiscent of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, especially with the Miller character. I want him to write more books to help me get back into reading. Keep up the good work Corridor Crew!

Anja Aleskari when you're actually working on stuff, you can do a software preview which basically matches the c4d viewport. Once you're ready for a render, switch to "full render" from the plug-in and you'll get a real time render from c4d right in the ae viewport!! The tech is called Cineware and it's really sweet :D
Anja Aleskari but my favourite use is bringing the c4d lights into ae to add optical flares or particular!

Corridor Crew Cmike can you guys make a separate Cinema 4D tutorial series as Wren and you guys learn how to use it? And general tips for animation and rendering (meaning removing all the shenanigans you guys usually do obv). Make a different playlist for that and I wouldn't mind watching even 10 mins of sponsored content.
This was one of the best Audible spots that I've seen. :)
Granted, it's not as good as Jake's Squarespace adspot, but that's a hard one to beat.

Since it doesn’t have support like C4D, he will stay away from it like the plague.
Blender is still at least 10 years away from being anythign decent. It has improved, but it's development and UI improvements take forever and it's features are never on the same level as the professional tools.
MAGA MAN Actually, Blender 2.8 is an incredible piece of software... I use Maya, and even I’m considering jumping to Blender. It’s *actually* being innovative.

Cinema 4D is probably the easier 3D program to learn, Blender, 3dsmax etc are quite a bit harder from what I've heard.
If you want hard to work with try learning Houdini while in full time secondary education. I know a decent bit of blender so that makes sense to me and there are no transferrable skills.

Mister Finn if you haven't. Also read Mistborn, it's another series from the Cosmere and absolutely my favourite. Had me crying at the end of book 3

I got audible quite awhile back from I am pretty sure Wren recommending it. I love the Bobiverse and i've now listened to Off to be the wizard (and all the following books). However, I have also listened to all of The Expanse now, TWICE, which is like hundreds of hours. I would love to hear Wren talk about the Expanse, he does a great job bringing attention to amazing stories. Also talk about when you listen, that seems to be a huge question I get about my listening because people wonder when they will find the time. Personally at this point, most of my entertainment has been audio books for about a year now, I've always loved to read, but reading while driving, eating, and working are not possible.
I can totally relate to this comment. I'm actually currently reading The Expanse in book form! It's sooo good! Almost done with the first one. I thought about listening to it but it's kind of nice to be able to physically read a book every now and then. I'm listening to The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August right now and it's AMAZING! I recommend that one for SURE!
But yeah, I listen to about 50 hours of audible content a month. You can find your own stats in the settings menu. It's perfect for driving, walking my dog, cooking/eating. I just can't do it while working, since that requires too much focus.

Didnt know about the stats, man, i peeked last month at 119 hours :/ I think i have a problem, lol. I tried doing it while working and you're absolutely right, I can't focus on both. Cinema4D is cool but way too expensive for hobbyists. Fusion360 and Blender for the win.

Karl Beltran fusion is free, if you use the correct licence, which is the hobbyist license or something like that.

Omg, so I first got into Brandon Sanderson's books when Wren first talked about Mistborn. And let me say, I'm HOOKED!!! Sanderson is now my favorite author hands-down, and I'm working on reading all of the books he's writen!!

There are many things that are free and unpopular. Being free is a factor but not the only factor. Also I think the UI being bad is a matter of opinion because I don't see it that way. There are limitations on all the programs and yes even Blender is comparable.

Talk about Warbreaker, I love Brandon Sanderson, and I haven't listened to that one! Off to be the Wizard is part of a great series too, though I heard book 4 was terrible. I decided to skip it after all the terrible reviews, and my friend told me the important parts. I heard book 5 was pretty good though, which is good to hear after the whiff on book 4...
Warbreaker is surprisingly amazing.
And yeah, I've only read the first three books of Wizard. The first was good, the second was fantastic, and the third was just OK. Then I heard about the bad reviews of 4 and just stopped. Didn't realize there was a 5th! I'll have to check that out!

Wren switched because 3DS Max didn’t have support. He’s definitely staying far far away from Blender.
I would be crying too if I had to use blender.
Don't forget Cinema 4D also supports server rendering. Basically you can split the render process between multiple computers, and thus render much, much faster.
Why aren't you guy's working with the Maya software?
Over complicated and over priced. You literally need an entire dev team to work with that software.

I remember attempting to render physics years ago with Cinema4D. It was probably one of the best 3D programs to use for that sort of stuff!
You also gotta love the thrown trilogy, I have around 20 different audible books now (have had it for years)

Also the first 12 seconds of this is greatest set of out of context clips ever (especially if you just listen to the audio.)

VideoPro blender is my favorite of the common ones. Its all personal preference and what you feel comfortable with. It's great cause it's free and has a massive useerbase with tons of add-ons made by the community to make it even better.
2.8 is coming out soon with a huge number of improvements
Blender is one of the best. 2.8 will be awesome and has nothing to be ashamed off.
VideoPro I like blender but it's also the only one I have experience with; from what I've heard it has a relatively steep learning curve though

As much as I love blender (great modelling tools, it’s free), for smoke sims and all sims I use Houdini. Blender simulations tools are really, really bad. Especially smoke. I recommend embergen too! And you not need paid Houdini version, because you can use non commercial and export vdb sequence to blender. For other animations and simulations you have to buy at least indie because of locked fbx exporter. But when I had only non commercial version I coded simple python program that took obj sequence and imported it as shapekeys. Altough it wasn’t perfect because vertex count couldn’t change
