Man! I was the bard playing the flute, running for arrows everywhere, and I never noticed you were filming! NOt sure how you hide it but thanks! Thanks for the videos too!
Awesome!!! everyone is absolutely loving all of you bards! I Have a full suit of black and gold plate and my gopro is on my helmet and it is black so it blends in a lot! I have soo many more videos from all the battles and other things at bico!!! so subscribe if you want and you will see more!!
All that damn armor, the different heraldries on the shields. Incredible!, and the musicians holy cow they were so good. a great fight well done. I hope to experience this one day!.
So I know Magic at Bicolline is super RP, hard to do, non combat stuff. But can you explain to me how at 9:38 there's just a straight up wizard with a staff roaming the field casually ?
I was going to say, if it's blue and yellow. From what my understanding. it's a game marshall. Don't they do that to add immersion to the game world?@@TallianAdventures
Sad to have missed another amazing looking year of bico :( heres to hoping ill make it there next year! Thank you for the content and taking me there when i cannot be
This is actually a week long medieval festival/Larp that is in Quebec Canada. Any one can go to this event! You just have to be 16 to join the battles. It is an amazing place!! Thank you for watching!!!!
I'm curious how arrows work here. Do you bring your own and have to fetch them after each battle or are they supplied? I've never LARP'd before but am very intrigued.
They recently started renting arrows at the event! but normally how it works is yes you bring your own. you have to have a minimum of 6 of your own arrows to be an archer on the battlefield. during battle you can pick up any arrow you see and shoot it and at the end of battle all the archers gather all the arrows and make a pile for people to go through. Bico is a crazy but awesome first larp experience if you can afford it!!
I am so torn about this! One the one hand, it looks so cringe, with all the cheap Walmart armor and grown men wearing Assassin's Creed costumes. But on the other hand looking so badass and fun, especially because of the people wearing actual historical armor hacking and stabbing eachother. I myself own a suit of 14th century armor and might really be interested in checking something like this out.
I completely understand where you are coming from. Im sure you know about the reenactments where everyone has legit time period armor. If you decide to come to Bicolline you will have to deal with people with cheap kit and monsters on the battle field but for the most part the majority of people take pride in their kit especially if they come more than one time. The monsters are actually really fun to fight on the battlefield. The majority of people are amazing and I have mad so many friends from all over the world from going to this event. I think you would love it. Have you seen my other videos walking through the town? If not check it out!
@TallianAdventures I only just heard about Bicollene last night. I have been watching your videos all day. I have seen the town, it does look pretty cool. I used to play Amtgard long ago, so I am no stranger to heavy RP'ers lol. I don't mind them. SCA is a bit too geeky for my taste, but this looks like it might be a good mix of both worlds. :)
Thanks for watching all my videos!! I am not usually into heavy RP and at Bicolline you can find just about everything you want! some guilds are very fantasy driven and others are more historical driven. There is also a virtual game that is like a super complex game of risk. Bico has been going for over 25 years now so some guild are super old! @@kenbo-2179
@TallianAdventures I will keep watching until there are none left. By the time I get my armor modified to the point where I can wear it comfortably into battle, I should have time to figure out how to afford a week long trip to Canada haha! 😉
@@kenbo-2179 I have info on travel packages and guilds if you ever need it! Very smart to customize your armor for comfort! I have spent a lot of time customizing mine and it is great for the two hour battles! Thats awesome! I have a few more videos that I am working on right now that will hopefully be out soon!
all it would take is a good group of 10 with a solid shield wall and pikes to take these doors. I wonder what the rules are for hits and such. Being an archer in this also looks pretty op
It would depend on a lot. At bicolline plate armor gives you 2 points of extra protection and you can't be stacked with other stuff. Leather and chain give you one point.

hahah Good eye! I didnt get a total view but I think that is what they call a game marshal. Basically a ref.
