You are going from strength to strength in the space of just 3 episodes. Loved them all, but this one really stands out for the subject, shot compositions and your great sense of humour. Will never make another wardrobe purchase without careful consideration. Best Lockdown Wear, has to be my Country Of Origin 3 x English Lambs Wool Polo Jumpers, don’t think a day has gone by where I have not worn one of them, they wash really well, keep you warm or cool. One of my best purchases. My Ten C parka based on a vintage 'foul weather smock' originally issued by the Royal Navy has also been essential wearing since Autumn set in, will last me a lifetime, seeing the material age and soften brings a unique character to it.
Thank you!! Ohhh I love those Country Of Origin knits! Could do a whole series of videos on how great wool is! Maybe fabric appreciation vids is a thing....
nicely seasoned frying pan there Sam! Now here's a thing, I was once told never to pull up or roll the sleeves of my jumper / cardigan as it is the surest way to age them, and reduce their longevity, and I fully agree. (though obviously I still do it, too often). But instead, we should just taken em off. easy. Also, tell us what you're using at home, to care for it. I'm always on the look out for low-packaging alternative cleaning products, other than making my own, as frankly that hasn't been a massive win.
Aha yes!!! Very good point. For some reason I’d never dream of doing it on my sweater, but this cardigan gets worn around the house so much and needs must! I’ll admit I’ve never once washed this cardigan or my sweater. I’ve spot cleaned but I’m terrified of washing wool! As you say, taking it off is the better option to avoid getting it mucky in the first place! As far as the rest of the clothes I’ve used smol detergent for a while now and they’re definitely winning on the low packaging front!!
@@sambinstead6611 yes, i think i own only one woolen which I've managed to never push up the sleeves on... needs must. Wool is wonderfully forgiving for not being washed, isn't it! SMOL was a winner for us until we realised it seemed to be what was triggering eczema flare ups on the littlest ones skin, which was gutting. Thought we'd cracked it. Might return to the ol' wash nuts, see if they'll do the job. Really enjoying your vids and edits Sam, top marks and good chuckles here.
Another lovely video! Love seeing snippets of your home too, especially that ceramics collection - doesn't get better than a Grey Suit Clay mug. Loved the Dig style too. Looking forward to your next appearance 🙂
@@sambinstead6611 I'd love to see some more of your home, it would be interesting to see how it ties in with your intentional wardrobe. And finishing with a ceramic of the week section - definitely! 🙂
Great Video! I learnt how to sew on a button and hemmed my own trousers! The hemming was the hard part because they’re flared🤣very proud of it though! I also bought an old 50s red check hunting wool jacket that I wear every darn day!😁
I meant to ask, have you and Holly come across Noble and Wylie shoes in Sheffield? Formally known as Guats? They are based on school road. Amazing handmade leather items, mostly shoes of course. Beautifully crafted and made on site. Myself and my family have been wearing their shoes for years and I've easily got 10 years out of the pair I wear the most often. Highly recommend for sustainability and obviously supporting local 👍
Sam, just loving these vids..Keep them coming. Avid follower on IG too. Love your humour! My eco tencel denim skinny jeans have been my staple throughout lockdown. I have adjusted some hems and darned my wool socks, as well as 'fix' a hole in a cashmere jumper. I'm no seamstress, but i'm darned if those moths will beat me!! ; ). All the best, Rachel
Ah thank youuuu!! So glad to hear 🥰 I LOVE darning. It’s such a nice activity to zone out and get some headspace! Fixing a hole in a jumper though.. that’s ace!!! The mends are parts of a garments life, even if the story is ‘moths’ it’s still a story right there in the mend! Thanks for watching! X
Another wonderfully shot video, really well edited. You mentioned getting your clothes fixed/tailored by someone else, do you reccomend a tailor in Sheffield? I've not found 'the one' in here yet and it's a business I would love to support locally. Thanks!
Thank you!! Honestly I haven’t found ‘the one’ yet. I used to take everything to a place in Manchester but they stopped doing repairs! Holly has used ‘Golden Stitches’ on eccy road and rated the results!! I’m going to take a few things there and see what they can do soon so I’ll let you know!

Loved the editing on this one!
Amazing! And so impressed with your editing/camera skills ✨
Thank you so much!!! Certainly don’t like to make it too easy for myself 😅
That hair flick though 😂🙌🏼
Hi! My names Sam and if you’re new here I make videos in slow motion, I mean, on slow fashion

Thank you so much! Should I make some videos around home too?? Or finish every video with a ceramic of the week section? 😅

I like that!!! I think the home probably shows I’m not really a minimalist more than the wardrobe 😅
Getting advanced on those edits!
Making life difficult for myself 🕺
What’s everyone’s favourite outfit?? Mines probably Maggie’s lil jumper on the coffee run 😅 Maggie wardrobe tour...? 🤔
Definitely the Dig inspired Netflix watching attire 👍

Button sewing is my favourite!! So simple with such an immediate result. Very satisfying. Hemming flares sounds like a job for the pros to me 😅

Love the slo-mo headbanging 🤪
Some skills never leave you from youth 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video. Will you ever do a houseware video?
I’ve been thinking about it!!
@@sambinstead6611 +1 for houseware video!

I snorted at the intro, who knew fashion videos could be so funny 😂 missing your sense of humour, you distinguished gentleman!
