You just saved my butt from a teacher who does not teach and expects us to learn from teaching ourselves! Thanks!
+Adam Free I just try to explain it step by step, it is not to complicated. You can see a listing of all my videos at my website, www.stepbystepscience.com
+Step-by-Step Science ... in the problem K2SO4, how did you get the 2 and the 4, and how did you get Oxygen in the formula?? How did you get 4? I thought the charge was -2?
Salty Waffle sorry this is a year later. Remember that Sulfate’s formula is SO4, with a charge of -2. This is because of the -ate ending, having 1 more Oxygen than Sulfite.
I totally feel you, I'm at home right now missing school because today is the test and I NEED TO STUDY!!!!!
Was it mrs.king
0:37 the animation represents my gradual descent into madness as i cram for this test lmao
Very funny!
My chemistry teacher talks goes through stuff really quickly and doesn't really explain much so this was helpful.
You have literally taught me in seven minutes something my teacher hasn't been able to teach me all year (or last year because I'm in AP Chem)
random question, how are you doing in life 6 years later.
@@wyattlovelace yeah I wanna know too
Omg we have the same last name, I’m shocked. Is it just me or does everyone pronounce it wrong for you too?
the joke killed me but i learn much better thankyou. i have a test on this.. 😪 highschool is great.
"killed" in a good way or a bad way....I suspect the latter. Thanks for watching.
You can see a listing of all my videos at www.stepbystepscience.com
good way ✋😂
deafsaint highschool? I’m having a huge test on it in middle school
College student here😂✌️ i have to take 4 chem classes
@@_taco.cat_5313 damn thats alot of classes of that. I'm in 10th grade and I'm doing a test today over this. I sweared to myself that I said I atleast have to get a 65+😂
This was very insightful! I am in Sophomore year of high school, and I'm learning about ionic and covalent compounds. on the first test I practically failed that entire section because I did not understand how the teacher was explaining it. I am now taking a midterm with the same ionic or covalent questions. I was afraid of getting a bad grade again until I watched this, and I was able to complete a whole worksheet without a mistake. I thank you greatly for the content that you have put out. Continue to do this in the future!
+Tiana Knights Excellent, glad that you found the videos helpful. You can see a listing of all my videos at my website, www.stepbystepscience.com
How’s life now?
Thank you a lot for this. It cleared a lot of the difficulties I've been having with chemistry, as well as thanks for a the little joke.
Pedro Sanchez Thanks for commenting, I am glad that the video was helpful, the joke is a little corny.
@@stepbystepscience Nahh you called your own joke Corny that's Crazy 😭
Can’t believe I relearned this in 5 mins thank you!
Glad to hear it, my pleasure!
Keep at it! This video saved me, I would've failed my test without this video.
Glad it helped you pass! Thanks for the comment.
It's amazing how I can sometimes learn more from a short RUclips video, than I learn from an entire 1.5 hour class.
+Alex MacIlravie Thanks for the comment, I try get right to the point and then go through everything step by step. You can see a listing of all my videos at my website, www.stepbystepscience.com

Thanks for the comment. I hope the test went well!
I watched this video right before my chem test, and it served as a perfect review for compound nomenclature. Thanks!
Great, hope the test went well.
i honesty cant thank you enough man! this has helped me so much
Your video is really clear about how to write names and formulas, you helped me a lot for me exam :) Thank you!

Many years later since this video was posted lol. I'm in college and I'm currently taking Chemistry. I wasn't really understanding this material and this video helped so much. I now understand Ionic and Covalent compounds. Thank you so much! & that joke was so funny yet cheesy.
Some things never change...covalent and ionic bonding happens to be one of those things. Thanks for the comment. You can see a listing of all my videos a my website, www.stepbystepscience.com

So nice of you. You're very welcome!
Thank you very much. Keep these very helpful videos coming!
Thanks for the positive comment…..I am making them as fast as I can...
Estefani, if you are asking about the MnO2 the 4 comes from the fact that there are 2 oxygens; 2 x -2 = 4.
sooo why is it positive 4 if you're going to multiply 2 and -4
This was great. Thanks!!
Thank man. it was a great review video.
Omg thank u, ur better than my Chemistry H teacher
Thank You Sooo much Brian !

Omg! I wish I would have found you three weeks ago. You are amazing! I am a visual learner and my professor sucks. I have been trying to learn this stuff for three weeks now. I tried khan academy, chemistry for dummies etch..... I have learned more in 1 hour than I have tried to learn in three weeks. Thank you.

OMG thank you so much I have had a ton of people try to teach me this but now I finally get it thank god!!! and I loved the joke
Great I am glad that it was helpful.
Helped alot thank you
Thank you so much. This has really helped me. However, I have a question. On Mn O2, how did you get the 4 that you put over Manganese
Each oxygen has a charge of -2, since there are two of them, -2 + -2 = -4. So the Mn must have a charge of +4. Does that help?
@@stepbystepscience now I got it. I was already planning to ask my teacher tomorrow because I didn't get it when she was explaining. Thank you so much sir!! God bless you
