Great figure, looks as good or better than some customs I’ve seen.
He’s fantastic!
I get mine on Monday🤗😯
Glad you got yours 👍
Great review, thank you!
Thx he’s great!
That leg issue has happened to me several times. You have to heat it up and push the leg further onto the peg. For some reason Todd keeps giving me figures who's legs aren't fully pegged in
I’ll definitely try it
I found mine at a target store in the return section. It was going to be salvaged and probably end up on a pallet but I talked to the management and had it sold to me for under eleven dollars!
Damn that’s incredible
I just want to say that you're basically my go-to reviewer now, and you do the best comparisons in the toy-reviewing world.
I just opened this guy up and I dig it a lot! I also would love to see more from this era.
Thanks a lot, I also really like this release!
You're one of the lucky ones, I don't know if you heard but some have been arriving with the biceps broken or just completely snapping off once you touch it. I have one coming in and I hope mine comes in fine 🙏
Yes
If that happens to you, I’d recommend just superglue in the bicep, you’ll lose the bicep twist but the arms will still be interchangeable for the capes
Great review as always, very informative, specially with the scenes you put together
About the figure, I was wondering these days if their Spawn figures have the issues the DC Multiverse figures have, I've seen some reviews on Spawn figures that received nothing but praise and I think McFarlane does Spawn and monster creatures with so much heart and effort, even their Batman that looks like monsters seems to receive that attention and characters that have the heroic look, tend to be done in a budget like Superman Rebirth for example, only exception I can remember now is Flash, the version with the smirk
I think is nice we are slowly getting classic looks for these characters
I'm only invested in their DC line and I plan to get their Donald duck when released so I can't say for sure if this is the case where he's only doing DC for money and the least effort possible
The sculpt on these figures though, always have positive aspects
Glad you could get this version with the signed version as well
The Spawn figures have issues here and there, my Raven Spawn had a leg issue I had to boil in hot water to fix. Hot water is the fix for most things, really lol
DC’s sheer output is why corner cutting happens sometimes. Spawn Universe gets maybe 10 figures a year, DC gets almost 100 lol Even then very rarely are details skipped out of laziness. The only things really popping to mind are Red Son (no new accurate belt), King Robin (again no new accurate belt), Year 2’s boots & of course Rebirth Superman’s boots. Not a bad record for over 180 figures so far imo lol Far from the least effort possible and leagues above Marvel Legends & the Mattel DC line. I think the mindset is more a guy in plain spandex is a guy in plain spandex, far less need to be unique than something with more specific details like 90% of alt costumes. Even from the beginning though, the original Batman & Superman not using the same base body is pretty impressive, so I’d say all things considered the Mcfarlane line is the least shortcutted superhero line in the history of the world. I would say a good 80% of the line has 100% new sculpts, I think it just happens your specific taste for classic spandex style is where most of the shortcuts lay, because there’s so few specific details in the costuming to begin with.
QC is definitely a major issue though. Every time I get a new figure I immediately start boiling some water for a potential fix, be it bent ears or spikes, mangled diapers or frozen joints.
@@vartanpapazian8342 Thanks for the answer man, I was a little disappointed with Steppenwolf I think but my copy stands with no issue, I just can't do more than make him stand and the plain brown face and skin made me question but seeing him next to the Justice League figures, it looks really cool to me with all that sculpted details
You're right, the reuse between different characters are almost non existent, they do an excellent job for the most part
@@lfabio.n I Steppenwolfs design just doesn’t lend well to standing figures lol Huge upper body on tiny feet. Yeah his face is very plain definitely. Paint quality has dropped in general, the wave 1 stuff had very detailed faces all around etc, I think it’s about rising oil prices while Todd doesn’t wanna raise figure prices.
@@vartanpapazian8342 Yeah, all these things have gone up in price, and it's not the first time they got the color scheme wrong, Infected Superman is one of them
The Spawn figures are the exact same quality as the DC amazing stuff
Minor quality issues here and there
Insane great quality for the price
Man, I had my pre-orders canceled on me twice, both times cuz I work overnight and sleep during the day. I'm really hoping I can find one in store but the urge to cave in and buy it on the secondary market is real
It’s fantastic
Happy You got yours I'll have to buy one online and pay the markup for my Birthday this month
Yuck
That’s why I preorder and stay on top of it
Can be paying those extra prices later
@@dHuntersReviews Yeah Bro I slept on it and since I hate Target Preorders I thought I'd find it in store easy because of the price.
I have been reading about some people find it in stores, but I think it’ll be selling quick. This is hot shit.
Are you gonna do the Batman who laughs 4 pack review or no point because it’s essentially all the figures prereleased in one box?
I will even though it’s exactly the same
I hope they release the cloth cape with other future Batmans.
Yeah, it’s very nice
Got mi e today….love the color scheme…. Lots of issues with figure …same body as the 3 Jokers line but that one is better assembled…I prefer more hands as opposed to the large base …the cloth cape needs lots of help..but color is on point …overall it’s much better than the reissued blue Batman 1000
I like him a lot and mine had a few issues as well mainly the Bess symbol was crooked and his ankle had a problem but I had to shave plastic off of but overall it’s a very nice 70s style Batman
You got me started up on targets preorder system lol and your so right bud I lost so many preorders just because just one time my disability check came one day late an bang canceled
Frustrating
Also, one of the ears on my figure is bent from the way it was placed in the package. What’s the best way to straighten- hold in hot water?
Just dip him in boiling water, that’s it, it’ll correct itself.
@@dHuntersReviews for how long?
The ears are very thin so it only needs to be in there for one or two minutes, make sure to take the cloth cape off first so it doesn’t get stained by the water
It doesn’t matter if you leave it in there longer, once the plastic gets soft it will revert back to how it is supposed to be
What a terrible target experience. Bbts is my go to as well. Great review dude!
They are OK but they get everything months after other retailers
I use them as my back up and I cancel probably 90% of what I order there because I find it elsewhere faster
Just logged on for them to reopen sales a second time and Target still shows sold out. I fucking despise Target. Todd can eat shit for insisting on using them.
At least they made more
Just keep trying
Great figure
Do you think that cape could work with the MK11 Spawn if the arms were removed ?
Possibly
I think Spawn is a little bigger
It looks best as it comes in the package but that Todd cape makes it a statue.
I like Blue/Grey Batman best but actually the Year Two comics this is based on, I would rather have the Alan Davis art version with Bats with a shoulder holster & pistol.
Davis draws a better Bats than McFarlane.
But Todd is the one with a toy company ;)
Lol
I think this Batman looks better with the cloth cape
Doesn’t have the presence the other has though
I want this figure but I would never use the mcfarlane cape idk if I should wait and see if they release it again without the big cape, knowing how mcfarlane love to sell the same figure multiple times that might be the case
I won’t ever use the giant cape
Really hoping I can get my hands on one
Good luck he’ll be very expensive later
Awesome figure!
Imdeee
Nice video
Thx
Is this in target now? I've not seen anything new in any store for a minute
I’ve heard some reports of people finding at Target, I got mine from their website.
I just got this new in box. It arrived as a slightly scuffed box however the left arm was snapped at the bicep from the factory.
To repair I am going to drill into the inside of the left arm and cut the shank off the drill bit and install the shank as a splice with a couple droplets of super glue
I got it off eBay.
I know you wanted to see the Batman I created from a bag of parts on eBay, the “High Altitude pressurized Flight Suit Batman” I built for my Bat-Jet. I got him in the cockpit with the leather wired cape and that was very difficult to set him in there properly. No way am I going to pull him out of the cockpit now. Looks ok… I’m new to this, and new to painting. It looks ok, it’s a pass, but not anything close to some of the master work painting I’ve seen on RUclips
If you know of a better way to fix the left arm than to splice I’d like to hear it.
Good luck
I did that once with a large croc figure
I’d prob just glue Batman as that drill thing is very difficult
@@dHuntersReviews I have to admit I am bidding on a second one on eBay that has a broken left bicep. Fixing it really shouldn’t be that tough because I will use my drill press and machinist vice. Will be fine.
@@dHuntersReviews the Flight suit Batman I made is in his cockpit in the plane and I don’t want to pull him out because it was like biting tinfoil to fit him in there after I got him a aftermarket leather cape - he was the first one I ever did. Parts from 3 broken figures and I made it work, but my painting is still on the novice side.
This can be the definitive Batman. The three jokers Batman will be my definitive Batman. I like the grey more than the blue. Batman the animated series is dark blue but that seems closer to grey then this bright light blue to me.
Did you notice any problems with the paint on the cape to have an error of shadows not being correct?
No issues with the cape paint
Solid from far but something about the face truth be told not crazy’s about face mould but everything else looks great
I really like the cowl.
Great!!!
Indeed
Happy new year 2022
…?
I really wanted to like this figure and in many ways I do. I honestly don't like the cloth cape. I'd love to get this with a sculpted basic cape. I love the base body sculpt, that head and classic 70's/80's look but I'd have to pay a lot to have a giant cape that's neat, or a cloth cape I don't like. I almost wish they used that cape from that Batman 1000 figure as that cape has a nice flow for a classic cape swoop.
I’d be curious to see a cape swap with the blue Detective Comics 1,000 Batman
@@dHuntersReviews That's an interesting idea. I wonder if the shade of blues are similar. It would take some cutting on the neck of the cape to make it work but that would be an interesting experiment.
Need two open for both capes
I thought about getting a second to open for that purpose
I need to buy that Batman figure but he’s not in target 🎯 yet, you bought 3 Batman year two Batman figures ?
Yes I did
Target website
Only opening one
@@dHuntersReviews Wow so the other once you will Sell them
No
Part of my complete unopen Batman collection
@@dHuntersReviews Ok
He sould make the Breyfogle era
Would be very cool!
So wanting a signed figure is out of the question?
What do you mean? You getting the signed version?
Maybe 🤔 I’ll get that figure for My Birthday 🥳
From where? It’s years old.
@@dHuntersReviews WHAT?!
This came out like 3 years ago
😊😊
Smile
Is William Shatner narrating this as captain kirk?
It…doesn’t…seem…possible…
@@dHuntersReviews 😆
I want that cape in black
That’s be great
@@dHuntersReviews i prefer Batman black and grey over just black and blue and grey
In the modern day and age, yes, but this was probably my favorite era of Batman
I just got the final figure from the last knight on earth the did not disappoint
Which one?
@@dHuntersReviews scarecrow
He’s cool, but I want an actual Scarecrow
@@dHuntersReviews I’m gonna make him into a custom fear toxin scarecrow with legs
If you do that, show me
One of McFarlane’s BEST Batman figures!🙏
Agreed
Cape looks like a big blue snuggie, head looks too small, quality control issues are unforgivable for a $60-$70 figure and how tf did they get the boots wrong? 🙄
I don’t have any issue with the head
I don’t use the big cape, just the cloth one
Luckily I had no quality issues
The boots are inexcusable
