i love the constant reminders of the importance of staying on model and being accurate to the reference- and then them just giving the character a knife for funsies ❤️
Turned out amazing Follygon. Always inspiring. Looks just like it and so stylistic. Your art keeps getting better all the time. I really need to get back into the groove of daily sculpts to get my muscle memory flow back. Thanks for sharing and inspiration.
This video caught me off guard in two ways First one is that he guessed I am a skipper and the second one is that I had a dream with a girl similar to this one and she was in fact a killer
could u maybe make a full character-building tutorial? Like u already did a few facial features, but could u pls do everything! Eyes, eyebrows, , teeth, hair, hands, human body and stuff and maybe detaiils like wrinkles and how to make the expression match the reference!Love ur work btw.
Wow i usually find myself skipping in some full character modeling stuff but here, no, i cant skip not one second, i watched it all and had so much fun, i wish i can learn to 3d model bc i want it to be my main hooby? Maybe even work idk, im still not a grown up to decide (still in school) Gl modelers and love ur work!!
Im totally new at nomad. Today I discovered your videos when I was looking for tutorials. Do you have a recommendation for achieving smooth details, I mean, there is a point in which all my voxels look so rough in the details when I am doing my voxel remesh and if I go to the remeshing option says subdivision will not be able any more and when I do it it becomes almost impossible to smoth the surface. What can I do. Greetings from Mexico.
Hi Pablo. A fellow nomad sculptor here. Yes if you increase the resolution under where it says remesh in the voxel section it will make the mesh smoother and give you more vertices to work with
Hi follygon!, i really like your vids! May I ask if you have an indepth tutorial on how u made this character? Im really having a hard time to retopologize in blender then texture, what is your suggestion to execute nice texturing? Is it possible to sculpt in blender then import to zbrush for texturing? Or is there a better way in blender? Would really appreciate your help!
Hey Grandeux, I think you could use the displacement node setups with textures to get that result but I haven't tried that yet personally beyond like, making water, or trying to at least xD but it'll deform the surface of your mesh in any case with the pattern assigned so I think that should do the trick.
Okay, I was caught. I was watching the video while I was doing something, but once I was done I wanted to go do something else so not to miss the final results I skipped
would love to have a tutorial on how to create hands without the fingers fusing with each other. that's a problem i keep having, but haven't found a great solution.
Hi, please, help me with advice 🙏🏼 Will a programmer's university degree help me somehow for a career as a 3D artist? I want to get into 3d modeling, but I don’t know if it makes sense to finish graduate as a programmer? (I'm now on 2th course out of 4th in university, +study takes a lot of time and effort). P.S. I could have dropped out, but I'm afraid I might regret about it in the future.
It may helps depending in the 3d area you want, follygon for example works with 3d toys, basically retopology and baking are not his main area, while most of the 3d game/animation developers know something about sculpting, if you looking for being a 3d artist for games/movies it for sure gonna be good, but it may be not useful into 3d prints and those kind of stuff
It does help bc some of other softwares requires you to write scripts and programs like houdini has Procedural modeling that you just gotta do coding works idk if this answer helped but yeah
I've watch some of your vids and I just find one problem and that's with the eyes , I know as an artist as well its hard to make it exactly as it appears in 2D but I think you should make them wider , thank you for the nice ary

Retopologize, subdivide, sculpt
He has a full tutorial on the channel for hands actually, I just saw it in the recommended videos list for me while scrolling!

Don't drop out, until, you've gotten good in 3d modeling, made a portfolio, and actually landed a job.
Learn blockchain development and still work on art I dropped out of business school but I wish I studied programming before I did now
DONT DROP
Just need to ask: for how much could you model a character for idk a commission?
ESTÁHERMOSOOOOOOOO
After such a long time 😉
What app do u use?
how do you get zrbrush to be purple and with that interaface?
MUITO LINDO AMEI ;-;ninguém vai entender mesmo kkk mais tá lindo amei
Ninguém vai entender né?... achou errado otaro!
I watched all of it lmao
How different is it to model as you do here to sculpting for animation?
How long do these take you 🤔
It's really cool
Yo this is actually a dtiys by phlomux, I remember because I participated and drew this character once too!
OH MY GOD SAME!!! No way this is such a small world HAHAHAHAH i was just about to comment this !!
Hey Folly did you take Scott Eatons anatomy course? If so would you recommend taking it?
I thought this was going to be a vinyl figure
This is amazing. Have explored the sculpting tools in Blender?
don't add things to a piece that just aren't there, things there's not really a hint of ahead of time *puts a random knife in cuz it could be cool* xD
U r to good
22:40 Why is this looks like something else though haha.
Now all you need to do is 3D print them
Could i commission you for a 2d to 3d for my OC????????????
"a killer pink haired girl"
Hey! What is that green line that has red circles? Is any way of ruler?
do you mean the transpose line? is a tool por positioning, rotating and scaling objects and yeas it works as a ruler too
