  • This is some information and how I installed the spring collars without disassembling the suspension components that most RUclipsrs do.
This method the fastest way, may not be the safest way, so as always do at your own risk.

    Well worth the effort.
I chose not to unbolt suspension parts, for less chance for error, no need to re-torque everything.

Thanks for the video. I just did my 18 raptor this weekend, passenger side was easy, driver side not so much. I used a 2x4 across the engine bay from the hood bracket to the front just over the radiator to use the ratchet strap to hold the spring from sliding down. There was just too many wiring sensors in the way. I didn't want to damage any of them. I also took of the air box to pass the the strap through directly over the spring. A little more work but I didn't damage any wiring or sensors. I also used the shankly spring compressors along with 1 regular compressor that I rented at auto zone to be safe. Worked out perfectly

I commend you for trying something new and thinking outside of the box but I wouldn’t have done it. I have a 18’ Raptor and a GTR. I won’t cut corners on my expensive vehicles. It would have sucked if something broke or the compressors popped off and damaged your $70+k truck..... Glad it worked out for you though!!

What size collar did you use?

Did you see a change in performance? I just had my icon leveling kit installed 1.75 inch lift... I feel like I lost power and have a lag when I step on the gas ... any thoughts?

Aside from obvious ride feel of the front being stiffer then rear, no change in anything else.

How’s the truck holding up? What’s the mileage right now? And how’s the reliability? I’m planning to buy the 2019 and keep hearing about transmission issues camphaser issues, truck catching fire etc.

Adnan Sayyed my 2018 Raptor gave me the Cam Phaser problem at 6,000 miles and I still hear some loud rattling noise from the engine area sometimes. Get a 19 or 20 if possible

Is it available for the gen 1 ?

Gen 1 has perch setting that can be adjusted to level the truck without the need for a kit like this one, as long as you have the stock fox shocks.
