Are you losing customers at the checkout without even knowing it?
Any friction in your online checkout experience will impact your conversions regardless of how convincing your sales page is.
But creating a seamless sales funnel isn’t always that easy, and often requires integrating multiple additional WordPress plugins or tools that won't necessarily play nicely together.
In this video tutorial, I’ll show you how to create a seamless sales funnel that uses a popular product stack, Thrive Architect with Thrive Cart, and how you can deploy the combo to increase your conversions.
To illustrate how this setup works, we are going to create the sales funnel for a fictional online Photoshop course, though this process would work for any digital product. There will be 3 main stages to this funnel:
- The Sales Page: This page on your website, made in Thrive Architect, is where the customer learns about your product. After clicking the Buy Now button they’ll be directed to…
- The Checkout Page: This checkout is hosted by Thrive Cart and is where the customer will enter their credit card details. After the purchase is confirmed, they’ll be redirected to…
- The Thank You Page: This page is back on your own website and confirms the customer’s purchase, informing them of what will be happening next.
Excellent tutorial on how to setup a simple sales funnel with Thrivecart. Im using Thrivecart as my checkout cart and it is VERY powerful. Highly recommend using it with Thrive Architect, and Active Campaign to build out automated sales funnels.
Just seeing this helpful tutorial but shocked at the lack of response from Thrive support to all the many questions. This would be amazingly helpful and show thrive is there for you.

How would this work if you added some thrivecart upsells? Would you create a different wordpress page for each step? Very interested in Thrivecart / Apprentice integration :)
You can have upsells unlock some other Thrive Apprentice products, or you can send them to a different thank you page as you said 😊 - Tony
One awesome thing with Thrive cart inside your thrive theme is that you can have affiliates promote your product. Then, when they link to your product (their affiliate links) you get backlinks.

Just wondering why we wouldn't want to embed the Cart at the bottom of the sales page instead of embedding it on another page? I mean, it saves the user one "step", right? Or are we doing this for tracking purposes ? Lol, another question I have is why would we not want to select 'Add them to my membership site' instead of 'Send them to a URL' :P
Depending on what you're selling, you may want to send them to a thank you page or add them to your membership site. Both are valid options.
And you can most certainly add the checkout form at the bottom of your sales page. - Tony

What trips me is that nowhere is explained how users provide their login info. For example: let's say I am a first time visitor to your sales funnel and like what I see. I press the buy now button put in my payment information, and get redirected to the login page. Then I'm supposed to enter my login information. But I never gave them any login information. Can you explain that to me please?
Good question!
When you connect your Thrivecart product to your Thrive Apprentice course, and they payment goes through correctly, WordPress generates an account for them automatically on your site.
Users get their login details delivered to them via email. You do want to set-up something like Postmark on your site though as WordPress doesn't handle email deliverability very well. - Tony

Thrive Suite doesn't come with a payment processing system. You need something like Thrivecart, WooCommerce or SendOwl to charge for your products or services. - Tony

Can you embed an "add to order button" to an upsell page, like you embedded the cart on a sakes page?
That is how Thrivecart does it. It has an "add to order" CTA that lets people add an upsell automatically to their orders. - Tony
Okay, but then how do you restrict access to the course in Architect so only paying customers can see it? And how to you get customers to register? Those are the missing pieces for me. Do I need to ALSO use something like Wishlist?

Like Valerie said, Apprentice allows you to lock courses to only people who have purchased a specific Thrivecart products. No need for wishlist, apprentice + thrive cart is all you need 😄 - Tony

Not sure I quite understand this question. But Thrivecart is not part of Thrive Suite. It just happens to work really well with out products 😁 - Tony

I wouldn't bring Shopify into the picture. But you don't have to use Thrivecart. You can use something like WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads...
