I believe Nubeo USED to be based in Spain with watches made in Switzerland using Valjoux movements. What I think happened is that they moved production to the far east to be more competitive price-wise. I have a Nubeo Medusse (circa 2009) and it's effing class.
Great info, cant comment on Watch gang but I have 4 Nubeo pieces which I have not paid a lot of money for and they are great, quality is good and the designs personally I like as well as the size, not on par with my Zenith for quality but horses for courses !!
I can tell the quality and design are very good (and acceptable if you not pay more than 200-300 usd at most for any of their watches. But I agree that they offer too little information on their website. They do not mention what clockwork is used, not even in their printed manuals. I had to do some web research to find out that my Skylab watch has got a Japanese VH70 automatic clockwork. And their Magellan quartz watch has got a Seiko TMI VK75, according to a webshop of a German shopping tv channel. In addition Nubeo does not provide any info on how their limitation systems works - e.g. the Skylab watch is limited to 400 pcs, however they offer it in 4 different colors. So, is the limitation 400 watches per color (=1200 pcs) or is it 400 overall (=100 pcs per color). I recently asked them about that in their contact form, but no reply yet. For a company who claims to enjoy science and technology they should also enjoy to share with us the names and technical details of their clockworks. Real watchmakers like to show off with details on clockworks and specifications they are proud of. Nubeo seems to chosse good clockworks, so why do they hide which ones they use?
I have 3 soon to be 4 Nubeo watches and they are all excellent. Build quality is excellent and they keep time really well. I’ve had no issues with them at all. Got a Messenger Tourbillon on order at the moment.
They have $1,550 watches on the site & some but not all colors are on sale right now for $330 right now. Come on how can that be? I can have the exact watch w/ a black dual for 1500 but w/ a blue dial its 330 right this second? Just lets u know the profit margin. I appreciate this video. Ppl are missing the point. He's just saying these 1500 watches are worth at most 150 to 200 bucks. Maybe less. Hes not trashing a watch just saying know the value & buy if interested accordingly. Ty for this video.
I have a Nubeo Manta and it's great. Specs are solid for the price and the design is innovative. I'll match it up with any other watch for the money I paid.
You missed the point of the entire video. It's not that they may be bad quality. It's that WG uses deceptive practices to trick people into believing they're getting old classic brands
@@robertseightytwo4385 You do know that most of what you consider "old classic brands" are nothing but shells of what they were and owned by different people now and nearly all watches are made in China? I mean they could give you a Hamilton and tell you it's a classic American brand. is it? I suppose you would have more credibility when you comment on a watch being overpriced if you actually had that watch in your hand. or ever had the watch in your hand.
Nubeo Sirius Tourbillon Numbered in limited edition. Anywhere you check a Tourbillon can be had for way cheap. This does not mean that Top Grade more expensive and implied quality for greater costs are a SCAM. If it were there would be so many reveals with pissed off people. Time tells. Anybody else purchase one of the Nubeo Tourbillon watches?
I won a RGMT on the $500 wheel, that thing was a total piece of crap. Had so many defects and mechanical issues out of the box. Expensive lesson NEVER again Watchgang, I could have gotten a great Seiko or Hamilton for that.
Sounds to me like you are mad you didn't get a $1500 watch for $300. Does watch gang tell you what the watch is well they tell you what movement is in the watch they tell you if it has a screw down crown along other items. Also sounds like you have issues with things made in China. Would you like to know what determines a value of any item. What I am willing to pay.
You completely missed the point if that's what you think. I didn't get the watch. I know watchgangs game. I don't give them my money anymore. But thanks for trolling
I don't know about every model, but I have a few friends that nubeo watches and they seen to be decent quality and design. I can't say for myself as I have not actually held one myself.
Lol so you gambled and got a very low end tourbillion so, WG is good and this is fake news? Lol. You completely and delusionally ignore the facts that they literally create these "micro brands" made in China. The facts stand.
Sounds like a fly by night watch company. Overpriced and trendy. “A watch doesn’t make the man, the man makes the watch.” I will stay away from trendy, overpriced watches.
Why hate WG so much? They have been nothing but loyal to me. WG is not for luxury collectors or long time watch collectors. Seems like it’s more for people just getting in to collecting watches. From my experience they do that very well. They offer a variety of watches with different movements. Their wheel option shows you exactly what you’re getting before you order.. including country of origin. Can’t speak for sure on Nubeo but I don’t believe WG had anything to do with creating these companies. Seems like more of a partnership thing.
Look it’s not a Rolex, Cartier, Tissot…etc but it’s a Dam good watch, very sturdy, compliment getter and if you look around there very affordable. I really am not interested in reading about the history if it under 2,000$ I have 4 Nubeos and there all Beautiful. Thanks for your work, but stop saying you maybe wrong it doesn’t help your cause for trying to bring down a good watch. The watch was what I thought it was it’s an Awesome watch.
You missed the entire point man... it's not about the watch itself. It's about watchgang and their lies and attempts to fool people that these Chinese watches are something they're not
Oh stop. Nubeo moved to China to be more price competitive like thousands of companies have done, including many luxury brands. That literally has no effect on the manufacturing standards of the watch, its the same as when they were made in Switzerland. The company is still Swiss, they are just made in China now. And no point missed here, you specifically stated the watches are not the same quality, so save the "its just about Watchgang" excuses.
Awww did the Chinese pay you to make this comment? LOL - Completely ignore the fact that the Trademark died when Nubeo did and then was re-born under the same ol trash Chinese companies making all Watchgang trash. Keep drinking the Koolaid ;) #watchgangsucks

The argument isn't the quality, the argument is they are all created from the same cheap Chinese factories under brands created by Watchgang.

I own many watches, and I own Nubeo Industrial Rose, One of the best watches by far!! Keeps time better than my Rolex Submariner! Just my 2 cent.
A Casio duro will keep better time than your submariner. Doesn’t mean it’s a better watch.

Thanks!
Nubeo watches look like a child’s watch.
Watchgang is awesome! Cmon now. Only people who are clueless about watches would try to get a Nubeo or Selhor on the wheel.
Watch gang is amazing I spend 270 and won 3k tourbillon
