The truth about Watch Gang. Don't let them silence you anymore! Speak up! #CancelWGnow #watchgangsucks #watches #watchgang
it looks cheap and want to know which is the website to oder and is it real or fake
this review doesn't surprise me... I signed up last night on a whim... we'll see what I get first and then will make my decision if I cancel or not.
Nubeo watches look like a child’s watch.
Sounds like a fly by night watch company. Overpriced and trendy. “A watch doesn’t make the man, the man makes the watch.” I will stay away from trendy, overpriced watches.
Dude, I love my Duxot. I’m an over the road trucker and I wear it every single day without the slightest glitch. Sometimes I’ll switch over to my Steinhart ocean 44. But for the most part, my Duxot DX 2057 is the work horse.
The point has never been whether or not they're a good looking or functioning watch. The purpose of these videos is to expose that WatchGang runs a con. This brand went out of business a long time ago. WatchGang re-starts old Swiss watch brands names using Chinese manufacturing. Then people who don't know any better believe these are legit brands with heritage. They are not.
@@mansformation they’re not the only ones… I just discovered another company doing the same thing. My bad for misinterpreting.
@@michaelmmcpherson3633 For sure! Almost all of the watches offered nowadays in the black membership are done this way. I've exposed several of the brands they put out for this. Not saying they're bad watches, just know what you're getting. That's all. They prey upon people who don't know.
I have 3 soon to be 4 Nubeo watches and they are all excellent. Build quality is excellent and they keep time really well. I’ve had no issues with them at all. Got a Messenger Tourbillon on order at the moment.
The argument isn't the quality, the argument is they are all created from the same cheap Chinese factories under brands created by Watchgang.
So far, so good. This review was four years ago. I got my first subscription watch, a JA McCabe manual-winding automatic watch worth 250UK #. Also, I won a level 3 spin wheel and an Earnshaw limited edition watch worth $1000. Plus, I got 60% off on my first subscription month and first spin wheel.
Oh stop. Nubeo moved to China to be more price competitive like thousands of companies have done, including many luxury brands. That literally has no effect on the manufacturing standards of the watch, its the same as when they were made in Switzerland. The company is still Swiss, they are just made in China now. And no point missed here, you specifically stated the watches are not the same quality, so save the "its just about Watchgang" excuses.
Awww did the Chinese pay you to make this comment? LOL - Completely ignore the fact that the Trademark died when Nubeo did and then was re-born under the same ol trash Chinese companies making all Watchgang trash. Keep drinking the Koolaid ;) #watchgangsucks
@@mansformation Yawn.
Watchgang is borderline a scam!
So if they have a Swiss PO box doesn’t make them Swiss.
i agree watchgang is a joke... but i do not agree movements don't matter... I'll never wear a quartz watch. I have a phone, watches aren't about telling time
They sell sturling watches now. I think watchgang stepped up their game a little bit since you made this video 4 years ago.
They have $1,550 watches on the site & some but not all colors are on sale right now for $330 right now. Come on how can that be? I can have the exact watch w/ a black dual for 1500 but w/ a blue dial its 330 right this second? Just lets u know the profit margin. I appreciate this video. Ppl are missing the point. He's just saying these 1500 watches are worth at most 150 to 200 bucks. Maybe less. Hes not trashing a watch just saying know the value & buy if interested accordingly. Ty for this video.
Fake news
Watch gang is amazing I spend 270 and won 3k tourbillon
Lol so you gambled and got a very low end tourbillion so, WG is good and this is fake news? Lol. You completely and delusionally ignore the facts that they literally create these "micro brands" made in China. The facts stand.
/G\... I wish I would have seen this a couple weeks ago.
you're so full of shit.
Thanks for sharing. I'm all for entry level watches, that being said, seiko, citizen, orient, tissot, bulova, would be my choices. Those watches have history, they have models ranging from $150 up to $10k like grand seikos, GPS citizen watches are outstanding. I agree, research the history of watches. Spend a little more cash and get a watch that will outlast you. Hand it down to the next generation. Forget the fly by night brands, over hyped without history. Usually a Frankenstein watch with seiko parts, assembled in China and marketed like its special.
I know im late to the party but just wanted to leave my experience here. I’ve heard about watch gang over the years but never had any interest. I’ve heard the complaints from subscribers and understand their frustration. I dont want to pay $80/months for some random watches that i may or may not like, id rather save and get what i like. Then i heard about the wheel recently and looked into it. So i had been wanting a Laco Fleiger for two years and they’re around $400 new. I looked through the wheel and the Laco i wanted was available at level 1 so at bare minimum i was getting what i wanted. I stacked the rest of the wheel levels with other Lacos i would also love. My first spin i hit a level 2 and landed on the higher end Laco, AWESOME! You cannot spin the wheel thinking you are going to win a Rolex, your odds are astronomically low. But if you see a watch you like on level 1 and the spin would cost you less than buying it new, pick it three times and spin. The spin cost me $260 with a discount so i saved $200 on a watch i wanted. Cant go wrong with that. People also have to understand that Watch Gang would not stay in business long handing out watches whos value is worth way more than their subscription cost. They mark up the listed prices so you think you’re getting a great deal. You have to research the street price on the watch yourself. Personally i think the subscription is dumb and people should steer clear. The wheel on the other hand is a nice option IF you use it without thinking you’re winning a grail. But great video brother, i agree with you mostly, just wanted to share my experience.
I personally like the wheels it allows me to pick what i like with a slim chance at a Rolex
Well, alot of high quality watches are made in Hong Kong. Have not had a Duxot in my hands but they look nice. Would not pay MSRP but maybe at 30% off, worth a try, they do provide warranties and you can always return it, nothing is written in stone to keep a watch your not happy with, as long as the customer service is up to par. I don't think they're being too sneaky but get your point.
It’s a scam
WG is the best, you are a bad person.
The wheel thing is a joke, the graphic makes it look like there is a much higher chance to get the higher level watches. It definitely doesnt add up for the sniff test. Just looked into the terms and conditions and the probabilities for the different levels for most of the wheels are around 93.2%, 5%, 1.36%, .43%, and .01% not to mention that information is only available after 4 clicks through the learn more button hidden down at the bottom of the page. Also the valuations are a joke, Definitely not the most honest site.
I dont know that much about watches but I know enough to know watch gang are a rip off
I got a cadola hunter green and a breed watch then I canceled there not bad but loved the video
Idk why people on here are bashing invicta and Croton... I actually have 10 invictas, all of which I love, and a Croton skeleton automatic I got as a gift about 10 ish years ago which I love as well. Also have a Stuhrling depthmaster
I actually have a Stuhrling! And a croton i got as a gift
Seiko Watch doesnt own Orient, its a little more complicated than that. Other than this good job and keep burning WG
I had a vostok europe watch . not from watch gang and it would not keep time.
I had one as well and if was terrible. Real Russian Vostoks are fantastic. Vostok Europe are not made from same people. They're more a fashion watch.
I found the watch on ebay and it didn't match MSRP. So they're full of shit. Ya lost me right there.
Sounds to me like you are mad you didn't get a $1500 watch for $300. Does watch gang tell you what the watch is well they tell you what movement is in the watch they tell you if it has a screw down crown along other items. Also sounds like you have issues with things made in China. Would you like to know what determines a value of any item. What I am willing to pay.
You completely missed the point if that's what you think. I didn't get the watch. I know watchgangs game. I don't give them my money anymore. But thanks for trolling
Thank you for your honesty. You have saved more people then you know.
I reached out to Brian Van Way after this video and am def going to get s watch form him. He's a great guy and very responsive as well.
Top notch guy! Love my BVW watches
I own many watches, and I own Nubeo Industrial Rose, One of the best watches by far!! Keeps time better than my Rolex Submariner! Just my 2 cent.
A Casio duro will keep better time than your submariner. Doesn’t mean it’s a better watch.
@@huskytales9839 duro is quartz
@@huskytales9839 it means you are much smarter with your money.
Look it’s not a Rolex, Cartier, Tissot…etc but it’s a Dam good watch, very sturdy, compliment getter and if you look around there very affordable. I really am not interested in reading about the history if it under 2,000$ I have 4 Nubeos and there all Beautiful. Thanks for your work, but stop saying you maybe wrong it doesn’t help your cause for trying to bring down a good watch. The watch was what I thought it was it’s an Awesome watch.
You missed the entire point man... it's not about the watch itself. It's about watchgang and their lies and attempts to fool people that these Chinese watches are something they're not
Good Video : A friend of mine wanted my opinion on this club as I'm watch collector and my search brought me to this video, Great info you know your stuff, one thing that raised a red flag with this company is they claim you will receive Japanese and Swiss made watches yet the only ones anyone has showed in their video were Chinese made. You can get vintage watches on Ebay for 200 that are worth much more Like Accutron or Rado and don't worry as if you get a fake just contact Ebay and you will get a refund . Vintage Orient watches are good, and the only Asian made watch brand I will wear, I mostly wear German Russian and Swiss made . Last year I scored at a flea market and got a Doxa Valjoux 88 for only $50 CAD the guy had no clue what it was he was selling . Your defiantly right the average person only knows about Gucci Rolex and maybe Rado, mention Burn or Titoni and they ain't got a clue. A little research . Anyone watching this video listen to hes saying dont get ripped off go to yard sales flea markets and online auctions , If your looking for new Bulova are great watches been around for over 100 years and they make all their own movements .
Thanks! You just saved some money. I was about to buy a watch made that group. Lifesaver!
I came very close to pulling the trigger and sign up to them, something kept nagging at me to wait... I knew it wasn't what it's hyped up to be... Thanks for the confirmation of my decision to hold off. I hope this helps others to stay away as well.
In England is pronounced Dartmuth not mouth dumbass
Damn near every watch gang review channel seems like they're being paid to persuade people into paying for their garbage micro-watch brands.
I left WG after two months. While I wasn't expecting a high value watch from the Black Tier subscription, I was very disappointed to find out the two watches they sent me were chinese made garbage. Neither watch company has any sort of history I could find online, just links to the respective websites that showcase convoluted histories and grossly inflated retail prices. I looked up the selling prices of the two watches in the real world and have lost money on both. I spent $150 per month with WatchGang and wholly regret it. That money could have gone to the purchase of a quality watch from a respected brand that I actually wanted. I've also done further research on the brands that WG carries. The vast majority are chinese made 'luxury microbrands'. I do appreciate the advice to check out the US patent office to research names, it would have saved me a bit of time!
Finally! A review of WG that I feel is truthful. Thank you. You've saved me from wasting even more money on WG. I've only been collecting watches for a couple of months now. In that time, I made the mistake of joining Watch Gang and subscribed to the Black Tier. I thought why not, I might get something cool. The two watches I have received so far are a huge disappointment, chiefly because they are brands I've never heard of nor can find info about them other than they are made in china. Also, I looked up what they are selling for in real life (not the wildly overblown msrp's) and have come to the realization that neither watch is worth anywhere near the $150 price per month I paid for the subscription service. I'm going to cancel my membership later today. I feel WG is indeed a scam. Yes, they do have some brands that are actually good, but there is lot of crap mixed in too. My modest collection (5 so far, not counting the WG junk) contains a Bulova, Seiko, a couple of Tissot's, and a Mathey-Tissot. Those I researched and got because I really like them and are from respectable brands. I find it much more rewarding to search/discover cool watches on my own now than leave it up to some service to send me some crap from china. The WG stuff is great for people who don't care about quality, know much about watches and prefer the thrill of gambling rather than having quality pieces in their collection. I spent $300 on WG and I could have put that money towards something I actually wanted. Glad I didn't spend more. Thanks again for your review.
I believe Nubeo USED to be based in Spain with watches made in Switzerland using Valjoux movements. What I think happened is that they moved production to the far east to be more competitive price-wise. I have a Nubeo Medusse (circa 2009) and it's effing class.
Wheres the watch gang sucks group?
Expose them brother.
Thanks!
I wish this place was better sounds cool but it’s clearly not good, do you have any recommendations for anything like it that’s better? Thanks for sharing
I won a RGMT on the $500 wheel, that thing was a total piece of crap. Had so many defects and mechanical issues out of the box. Expensive lesson NEVER again Watchgang, I could have gotten a great Seiko or Hamilton for that.
I think I bought a Charles Hutton BNIB on Posh for $30 for 11 year old son who wanted a watch... So yeah I would be Pissed.... it sounds like Watch Gangs entire business model is aimed at People who have absolutely ZERO knowledge of Watches in General. I would expect to receive at least $500 watch per month from decent quality Microbrands such as: BoldR, Zelos, FORZO, Nezumi, Dan Henry, Deep Blue, Cadola, Luminox, Stratton to name a few.. These are decent respectable Microbrands with some very nice looking pieces. And the fact your inquiries on the Forum/webpage got removed by them... thats down right shady....
Sorry, had to stop watching when you compared Watch Gang to Nazi Germany.... Go away with that noise.
Hey Brandon, great video with info that I had always suspected. Watch Gang sends me emails all the time and I've noticed, as you said, that the brand names were companies that I'd never heard of and they looked cheap and junkie to boot. I've also been suspect of their "Grail" watch wheels. Most of the time Watch Gang starts out showing you a Rolex Daytona or an Omega Speedmaster that you have to gamble $500+ for a chance to win. Who knows what the odds are of getting one of these "Grail" watches. And then when you scroll down to the actual wheel for premium pieces they show a blank icon that says "Random" so you think that you might win a $25k Rolex Daytona or a $8k Speedmaster when in actuality they could send you any piece of junk they want. And you probably do not have a chance in H3LL of anything at all. Say good bye to your $500 chance to spin, for what? I would hope that watch lovers see your video and stay away from this bogus front that unloads nothing but cheap Chinese crap. You've earned a like and a subscription. Thanks for this "Public Service" warning. Even if you don't fall for this scam, the very fact that they will ban you from their site if you dare say anything less than positive about Watch Gang, that alone should raise the RED FLAG about their business practices which are unscrupulous at best.
