nice box sets Glenn. Those Beatle box sets are great. The Let It Be is awesome.I have a vinyl box set of Sparks that my daughter in law got me for xmas a couple of years ago that is great.Have a good day Glenn
Can't believe I missed this one. Some real nice sets you have. Those mono sets are great. Glad I got mine before they went thru the roof. I got The Kinks & Stones before they went crazy too. Also a big fan of those Hackett sets.
Hi Glen!! thanks for showing part of your vinyl boxsets, loved the Stones and Rush, two releases well done..... I agree with what you said the vinyl boxsets should be the original records and the all extra stuff should be on a separate disc. cheers and be well
You've got some great box sets. I agree with your feelings about CD vs. LP box sets. I'm glad you convinced me to get The Band box set. I'm jealous of the Dylan set. I was glad to get the Prine set and I've had the Springsteen set from when it was released. There are several that you showed that I may have to get one day.
I'm always torn on the box sets should I go CD or vinyl? that new rolling Stones live box set I'll probably go CD on that just for the price, and the convenience are not having to flip the record..lol. but some of box sets like the story of the grateful Dead with their discography in it I want on album, when it comes to live I tend to want to see the. great video Glen
hi glen kellaway can you please do another video of cd box set collection update thanks like you got the whole caravan box set albums have a nice day take care
This was a very chilled and fun video Glen, you should the same with your CD box sets or do you have too many for that! This is an EXCELLENT collection, I hope to get more box sets soon! I recently bought The Beatles Singles set which I’m very pleased I got, if you’ve not listened to them yet I recommend to as it was fun to go through them!!!👍
I'm definitely with you on CD v vinyl sets, I'd only get a vinyl set if it were strictly a vinyl only release. I like the Let it Be sound too, All Things Must Pass was one that I was indifferent to, as I'd never owned it. Good video!
Wow! Youve got a lot of boxsets Glen. You and I think a lot alike about the Beatles boxsets. I did a whole video just about those. You might want to check it you. I wish I had that Band box and also the 50 anniversary boxes the Band did for each album.
All in for this upload. Thanks for the shout out Glen and YES!!!! to your point about re: CDs vs. LP Box sets. With the Beatles singles I really would have preferred the UK, USA, Canada covers for those releases. Pure McCartney I have in a 2 CD format. I passed on All Things Must Pass --- I have an OG and good to go with that. #gnomes. Hmmm...still have yet to commit to the Lennon Gimme Some Truth set. Let it Be was good and I went for the full deluxe CD Box on that. Yes to Beatles in Stereo Box --- I bought that in both CD and LP formats. Beatles in Mono kills me. I MISSED OUT! 😭Thank goodness the Stones is available. Your price on that Stones box is insane! Got that Band box too! Uh-oh running out of comment room ... anyways... fantastic, Glen!!! 🥰
My two favorite vinyl box sets are: The Beatles "Stereo" set, and The Rolling Stones' "Studio Albums 1971 - 2016". That's the one that got me back into vinyl again, after 27 years. The Stones set is wonderful, packing wise. You get all of the original covers and trinkets. That includes little touches, like the real working zipper on "Sticky Fingers", the cards in "Exile On Main Street" and the die cut cover for "Some Girls". I also got the complete discography LP sets for The Police, CCR and the recent Rolling Stones "7" Singles" set. I passed on The Beatles' one. I didn't like that they used picture sleeves from around the world. I would've rather they kept the UK singles as they were. Even if that meant a less visually exciting box set. But, I got the 50th anniversary "Let It Be" LP set. I absolutely love the Glyn Johns "Get Back" album. I like that it's more "rough". I of course have The Rolling Stones "In Mono" LP set pre-ordered, to go along with the "Studio Albums 1971 - 2016" LP set. They compliment each other so well. And I almost did, but never ended up getting any of The Rolling Stones' Decca or London 1960's LP's. That worked out well in my favor. Though, I may want the last three in stereo as well.
The Stones mono set is going to be awesome, especially for those of us who missed out on the original release..Would love to have that other Stones set..
My box sets are all cds. Joe Cocker, Eagles ,Journey , Eric Clapton ,Springsteen , Billy Joel , Doors , Queen , Pink Floyd , 60's experience , Capitol US Beatles box 1 & 2, George Harrison ATMP, the Pure McCartney. Gimme some truth 4 cds separated by themes, Doobie Brothers
@@GlenKellawayfromthebasement when they first came out. Walmart is 5 minutes up the road I bought them for $35 each..now I've seen them for $100 each volume
Lots of great box sets! I had that Bruce Springsteen live box set when it cane out and lived it. I need to get that Arthur Brown box set sometime...
The Springsteen live box was so good..Yes.,you need that Arthur Brown set..
I agree with you about vinyl vs CD box sets. Vinyl box sets really have to stick mainly with the discography.
nice box sets Glenn. Those Beatle box sets are great. The Let It Be is awesome.I have a vinyl box set of Sparks that my daughter in law got me for xmas a couple of years ago that is great.Have a good day Glenn
A Sparks box set..I know someone who would love that..👍❤
@@GlenKellawayfromthebasement really I wonder who lol
You have a very nice delivery, Glen. I will be checking in again!
Fun video! That’s a great collection. I also am digging the Yes pick on the wall. 👍
Great collection Glen. I have some of those sets as well. Cheers!

Thanks Cristian..the Stones and the Rush boxes were pretty good, for sure…

The Dylan set is still in print, I believe…The Band box set was a good one..

Thanks Rod..price has a definite role in the decision..I sent CD on the Stones El Mocambo..Record set is way overpriced in comparison.
hi glen kellaway can you please do another video of cd box set collection update thanks like you got the whole caravan box set albums have a nice day take care
Hi Eddie..Thank you for the suggestion..
I will do a complete cd box set video in the next couple of weeks..👍❤

Nice collection. In regards to box sets, i think singles box sets are fun as well but I'd totally get a set if it was the discography of a band

You need some version of All Things Must Pass..it is essential..
@@GlenKellawayfromthebasement oh I own it, but the remix was one I couldn't really say anything about

Those Band anniversary sets are always on my radar..never seem to find the cash to lay out for them..
@@GlenKellawayfromthebasement I keep telling myself to pick them up and then I dont. Its a lot of $$
Time Fades Away , a live album of songs no on knew at the time , Neil being a musical iconoclast
Neil is certainly that👍
Because of the memories involved , i can't switch out the original All Things Must Pass box
I agree with you..the new remaster is just another way to hear the album..
Trying to get originals in good condition is getting harder to find.
Ridiculously hard..I think the box sets are cheaper too..lol..
