We had one woman flip her shit on a nurse because we wouldn't pierce or allow piercing of a 3 day old baby's ears so she could wear these heavy gold earrings in her hospital photos. You'd be shocked at what some people will do to their kids to appease cultural mores. Occasionally, it requires a call to social services to have someone come in and explain why a practice is detrimental to a baby because it's just something they've always done in their family or whatever and they're genuinely confused as to why it's a bad thing.

I like that both this ladies kids are dressed appropriately for their age and they look like happy kids. If grandma is so wound up by a dress that she ruins her granddaughter's party and curses in front of a bunch of children then she needs to re-evaluate some areas of her life.

Poor thing was probably scared or embarrassed by her grandmother. Grannies or Nana's are usually up there with any child's favourite humans but this little sweetheart is probably terrified of hers.

We had one woman flip her shit on a nurse because we wouldn't pierce or allow piercing of a 3 day old baby's ears so she could wear these heavy gold earrings in her hospital photos.
You'd be shocked at what some people will do to their kids to appease cultural mores. Occasionally, it requires a call to social services to have someone come in and explain why a practice is detrimental to a baby because it's just something they've always done in their family or whatever and they're genuinely confused as to why it's a bad thing.
